Not hoping anymore to play with neighborhoods enabled, even though this was my DREAM back when I played sims 2. For example I dont want my goth family to die with just two horses in their household only to find out, they never really interacted with anyone.

It's sad that EA thinks The Sims 4 should be built on instead of coming out with a game that isn't done half a**ed. The Sims 4 is boring, lacks depth, and is too easy. I stopped playing it about a year ago when my sims would freeze, then when I managed to reset them they would then cancel almost every command I gave them. And now, my EA launcher is broken. I'm done.
WHAT? The Sims 4 is literally one the most outdated games, it's so outdated even by 2014 standards... What do they mean won't ever replace it? At this point they should've stayed with The Sims 3 then, at least that game is more advanced

I'm not surprised that Sims 5 isn't coming. I had a feeling that it wouldn't. But if EA is going to continue to milk Sims 4, they should at least upgrade the game system or something. The game is barely working for some people. I wish it was more open world, or even more lots like 8 lots per neighborhood in a world.
Even tho they remaster the whole game , the main thing a lot of people were waiting for was something new , and it looks like the Sims 4 is the last sims of the franchise, the fact that they stop at the worst franchise of the sims will cause their lost. I don't know who the heck thought an always online Simcity was a good idea but i was there for the whole drama and it was insane seeing Simcity die and Cities Skyline replace it.
I dont understand why they want to keep it going when the game is barely working. It's literally hanging by a thread. Adding more DLC and an extension to the game is adding more to the fire. I can understand if the game was working properly and they wanted to add more experience to the game *cough *cough* open world, but we're barely getting challenging experiences with the game currently. Le sigh...I can already tell I'm going back to sims 3 soon. I just don't want to give up a lot of the cool mods that came from Sims 4. The only reason I play is because of the modding community and because I am waiting for my gaming computer to arrive. But soon this may change.
SmartSim Engine is 16 years old. Development started in 2008 and the engine was intended for an online-multiplayer experience. EA continuing The Sims 4 for another 10 years is the stupidest idea yet.
Look it isn't "cancelled" because they didn't even plan to make one in the first place. People only assume Project Rene is "Sims 5" but the more we learn about Rene it is clear that they are not making a new Sims game.

My main disappointment in the sims 4 is that it’s not open world like the sims 3, which is hands down my favorite. I was expecting sims 4 to basically be everything sims 3 was but better and with better graphics. They took away the open world, they took away the customization, the gameplay features, they took away so much and added so little. I was really looking forward to the sims 4 going back to its roots of what made it so loveable and I was highly disappointed when I played the sims 4 for the first time and I’ve basically spent so much money on it to be disappointed with each release from the sims 4 ever since. This is how I felt when the saints row franchise died 😢

I've been playing since Sims 1 came out. I'm now 58 yrs old and while I haven't bought all the kits, I have all the other packs. I want a Sims 5! Something more stable. They say people don't want to start over after they've spent all this money? This game has gone on for 10 YEARS! Of course it's got tons of DLC.
You know what this means? We are probably going to get 100 more expansions 100 more game packs 50 more stuff packs and 1000 kits and that’s probably an understatement

I think you're right. I'm 43 I've been playing since the first one dropped in 2000. I don't like Sims 4 or the newer Sims 4 community because 4 is so focused on politics, not offended, making it E for everyone, constant money grabs. I will take you back to Sims 1 when they tried having a multiplayer online Sims game and it sucked. I have played every version of this game. This literally is gonna turn into SimCity 2013, and it will crash and burn on a 10-year-old engine. They know it will and they want to because EA is not even trying to keep this franchise alive. They have literally gaslighted people into thinking they don't want a new game so they don't have to do any work. That pretty much sums up this whole decision. They are literally trying to destroy his franchise because they don't want to work on it. And you're trying to convince us that we just wanna play this last iteration for the rest of our lives which will not last longer than a year if that long after they switch to all this nonsense they I came up with. My Sims may last a little longer, but as for the main game, it is about to be buried. This is EA's way of putting the Sims dog to sleep.

From an economic standpoint, it's very simple. The executives must continue to be pleased with the sales of expansions and other packs. It is only a concern over this that would inspire either a new iteration or an end to the franchise at large. This is basically reheated pizza.
Expansive?! This game is a shallow puddle on a degrading land mass. Sims 2 and 3 seperate are more deep and stable than Sims 4 with all the DLC. FFS, Sims 4 doesn’t even have cars.
Well let's look at this objectively shall we? If EA was to make a sim 5, they would have to compete with Inzoi and Paralives who are including a lot of features in their base game, such as weather, going to work, relationship date stuff, wedding stuff, etc. EA couldn't monetize that content anymore if that was the case, they would have to add not only that to their base game but more to keep themselves relevant. However, by not competing and just sticking with Sims 4, they can continue monetizing on those packs and milking whatever packs they want to release and as a show of face toward the community, they have the 'most content' compared to the competition. It's a shitty stance and a really bad move by EA. The engine is a disaster, it was NEVER meant to be run as long as it has. I quit playing because of how broken the content was getting and they were just installing rabbit holes for everything. Each expansion pack and content was getting less and less compared to the previous ones but still keeping the high prices. I got tired of throwing money toward a broken product and it's why I'm not going back after this announcement. With EA's weird plans to keep going with sims 4 and not make a sims 5, it explains why Sim Guru Grant left the company. He must of knew this was their plan and wanted something better which is why he joined up with an indie company Midsummer Studios instead to make his own life sim. Between the game Midsummer studios is making, Vivaland, Inzoi and paralives, I think we have quite a few alternatives to say goodbye to this garbage of a company and their bad practices.
When you genuinely know the history of EA sports, you truly have no expectations. They’re not the powerhouse company they were 20 years ago. It’s time to cut the cord with them all together. They can’t even make sports games right. And tbh, Paralives don’t even stand a chance against inzoi. Yea people will buy it cuz it’s new but that art style will age like milk.

Welp, I think my long run with the sims is coming to an end. Been playing the sims since Sims 1. Sims 3 was THE best with 2 being a close second. I have a love and hate for the sims 4. I hate it cause the game is shit without mods, broken, don't even get me started on the loading screens. But i love it cause the mods makes me forget about how the game is so empty. I told myself i would keep going cause surely they wouldn't put loading screens in Sims 5 surely they learned from Sims 4. 😢 About to hit up Inzoi.
If ea wants to make a sims game that they can just update the harsh reality the sims 4 is just to broken they need a fresh start. The only way for a sims game to survive for along time honestly needs to recorded from the ground up

If they do come out with Sims 5 in the future, I’m gonna wait and see. What I do want is fixes and the ability to minimize my mods folder. EA is the Grim Reaper of gaming. EA also already knows how this goes. They put out a mobile version of Apex Legends in May 2022. They shut it down last year. Instead of fixing it, they rebranded it and are back to shilling their busted game. Sound familiar? The jokes write themselves at this point. This is just one game; they've destroyed many others and closed lots of studios in the name of CEO Andrew Wilson pandering to Wall Street. People on Wall Street don't care about other people unless it is their wallet being drained. Have you seen the most recent alpha screen shots of Project Rene? They are hideous considering how long the sims franchise has been around. I'll continue to play TS3.
Actually, I’ve played the sims since the original. Sims 2 is my favorite. However, with the addition of infants and the grow together milestones, this has really helped with my enjoyment of family gameplay. I also use a lot of mods to further enhance gameplay. With all the money I’ve put into sims 4, I really didn’t want to have to buy all backs all over again. I will continue to add to sims 4 as I see fit with new content and also enjoy new life sims that come out.
EA's reason about not losing progress on sims is BS, you can import/export sims surely they can keep their generations etc in the next game (not that it's happening) Sims 3 gameplay features are 100% better than Sims 4, I also feel like they felt more stupid in Sims 4
I’m disappointed and sad at the trajectory that they are deciding to take this franchise I love. Like why is it so hard for them to see that the problems and constant bugs that keep popping up with each new patch update or pack is because the sims 4 at its core is broken. Like the intentions they had for the game were completely different from what we got and the adding more stuff isn’t making the problem better just making it worse. I don’t understand why having a new and updated version of the sims is such a bad thing. I think it would have made more sense actually cause now there’s a new base to start on. Like I am glad that it’s happening at a time where there are new players in the life simulation genre, so there’s something to be hopeful for. But I cannot help but to grieve what could have been at this point for the sims. What a shame
Okay , my friend and I go back to back on this topic. VISUALLY sims 4 is perfect and the mechanics they have now is awesome if you go play back the other sims games. I got use to them doing more than one thing at a time and its frustrating when playing the other games. HOWEVER 3 was perfect. IF THEY kept 3 playing wise and the visual of 4 they would have a perfect sims games.

The sims 4 is my first ever sims game because I’m 08, and i expected it to just continue doing with the different generations sims the sims 2 and the sims 3 but nope. I really do think the sims is over and they’re trying to milk it a few last drops before throwing it out all together.
Honestly, I think, at some point, there will have to be The Sims 5 as the current game simply will be too broken and outdated but they will delay that as much as they can. Basically, a lot of people spent a lot of money on the current game (me included, so no judgment) and now they are worried if they stop supporting TS 4, most of the players won't spend money on TS 5.

Honestly I have only played the sims 4 and constantly hearing different features from the previous sims games. My first thought is WHY THE FUCK DID THEY LEAVE SO MUCH FEATURES OUT OF THE SIMS 4 LAUNCH!!!!!!! Like I hear so many features like your sim can cuddle in bed with another sim. In the sims 4 it’s locked by an expansion pack that is $40. Massively annoying. The sims 3 had at launch and sims 2. (I've been playing the sims since 2000 so I have some idea what a good sims game can be like). I have played sims 1,2,3 and 4. I’m not mad at their choice to not upgrade into sims 5. Being here since the beginning, something I know is how greedy EA has been with the series since sims 3 and now is worse with sims 4. Do you guys think that sims 5 will include all what we would consider basic in a simulation game? Weather, pets, gameplay features for the different ages and vocations? They will not, that’s where they make the majority of their revenue. Most people are tired because they want another art style or because 10 years is a lot of time playing the same game. Also another reason why they won’t do it is because they made it free not long ago reaching more people and subsequently those people will buy expansions and packs making more revenue along the way. I personally rather see what the competition would bring.

Open world is never coming to sims 4. The foundation wasn’t built to sustain it. Which is why people wanted sims 5 because then they can implement open world into the foundation and build from there.

They have no personality and don’t feel alive like they did in sims 2 or 3. If they could get rid of the emotion system and give sims personalities and memories, it would refresh this game. Of course they're not doing Sims 5. Why would they when they have Sims 4 apologist who will continue to buy the Sims 4? They don't have confidence in Project Renee either which is why they're having the Sims 4 run simultaneously. This whole not wanting to start over is a weak excuse especially for a company that make video games. The game has turned into a building simulation game with mundane gameplay, filled with Sim characters with no personality and barely have connections to others in a closed world. The fact this game still lacks extended family or other relationships like cousins, half siblings, step parents/siblings, aunts, uncles, adoptive parents, godparents, legal guardian, foster parent, etc. is ridiculous. So many things could have been made for the Sims 5 like more family relationships, newborns and preteens included in CAS as lifestages, Create A World tool or lot placements could have been brought back to the Sims, an open world or semi open neighborhoods, cars and transportation could have been brought back, the clothing system from Sims 2 where you have to buy clothes in the game and the Sims weren't limited to a certain amounts of outfits. It also doesn't help that they kept laying off workers, outsourcing their jobs overseas or having employees keep leaving. That just exposes how bad EA as a company is. Sims 4 really did ruin the Sims franchise. Would not be surprised if they end up selling the company to Disney or Bezos in a few years.

The only way now that they can fix The Sims 4 is if they make it open world and add more stuff to it.Update the character editor ect...ect... Basically add everything in sims three.
They realized they can´t compete with Inzoi so instead of splitting the player base between S4 and S5, they kept it the same and expanded on it so its consistent.
Paralives and Inzoi really shook EA/maxis up and had them cancel it. Paralives shook them up to release this project renee to get people hyped and people still aren’t hyped especially now that you’re trying to fix the sims 4 and people are tired of it. The sims 4 was originally supposed to have multiplayer but y’all had to meet a deadline and release date and the game wasn’t working so you not only released a broken game? Every update has been broken. Give sims 4 up. It’s dying and mods are saving it. Trying to add multiplayer on to the sims 4 is really dooming the franchise. But i think they’re creating a ploy to say it’s cancelled so people can stop asking about it and they can really snatch ideas from paralives and inzoi.
Why would I want a sims 5 if they are going to sell us the same things they released in the sims 4 with the same price tag? Like why would I want to play a potential base game with no occults for them to release vampires, werewolves, etc. again?? Like we all know they're going to not making any content release expanding the game free. So I see no point in a 5th iteration of the franchise.

I haven’t played the sims 4 for about a year now , every time I made a household it would bug at generation 3. I’ve been playing the older games and it’s been great! Sure some crashing but I can complete a whole legacy challenge 😮💨
Be honest, that was you behind the Inzoi image, right? Can the Sims 5 be classed as cancelled if it was never officially announced? Their talk about progress resetting is weak and shows how much they don't understand gaming one bit. A new game doesn't stop earlier games. The Sims 2 and 3 is proof of that. All they've done is cherry pick the comments to show ones that support what they want. I've said all along that Project Rene was not the Sims 5 but it would effectively be a replacement for it, along with the Sims Online and maybe the mobile games. Probably the Sims 4 eventually too, as they're going to continue slowly drowning the Sims 4 in buggy, broken DLC while failing to fix the game because they can't and it doesn't make them money.
I really hate that there won't be a Sims 5. While I understand the reasoning. There are a lot of people, ( myself included) who are tired of TS4. Particularly the aesthetic and lackluster/vanilla gameplay. I guess Inzoi is now my only hope for a more mature game. As for The Sims movie, I really hope the focus of the film is on the disappearance of Bella Goth.

Not even a shock. Do the math and you'll understand. If just 10% of the player base buys a kit? And why make players start over, when now players have somewhere else to go? Nah, it wouldn't make sense from a business viewpoint. But is it good for the game? No.

I'm not surprised that Sims 5 isn't coming. I had a feeling that it wouldn't. But if EA is going to continue to milk Sims 4, they should at least upgrade the game system or something. The game is barely working for some people. I wish it was more open world, or even more lots like 8 lots per neighborhood in a world.

I don't know who the heck thought an always online Simcity was a good idea but i was there for the whole drama and it was insane seeing Simcity die and Cities Skyline replace it.
I dont understand why they want to keep it going when the game is barely working. It's literally hanging by a thread. Adding more DLC and an extension to the game is adding more to the fire. I can understand if the game was working properly and they wanted to add more experience to the game *cough *cough* open world, but we're barely getting challenging experiences with the game currently. Le sigh...I can already tell I'm going back to sims 3 soon. I just don't want to give up a lot of the cool mods that came from Sims 4. The only reason I play is because of the modding community and because I am waiting for my gaming computer to arrive. But soon this may change.

SmartSim Engine is 16 years old. Development started in 2008 and the engine was intended for an online-multiplayer experience. EA continuing The Sims 4 for another 10 years is the stupidest idea yet.

My main disappointment in the sims 4 is that it’s not open world like the sims 3, which is hands down my favorite. I was expecting sims 4 to basically be everything sims 3 was but better and with better graphics. They took away the open world, they took away the customization, the gameplay features, they took away so much and added so little. I was really looking forward to the sims 4 going back to its roots of what made it so loveable and I was highly disappointed when I played the sims 4 for the first time and I’ve basically spent so much money on it to be disappointed with each release from the sims 4 ever since. This is how I felt when the saints row franchise died 😢

I've been playing since Sims 1 came out. I'm now 58 yrs old and while I haven't bought all the kits, I have all the other packs. I want a Sims 5! Something more stable. They say people don't want to start over after they've spent all this money? This game has gone on for 10 YEARS! Of course it's got tons of DLC.
You know what this means? We are probably going to get 100 more expansions 100 more game packs 50 more stuff packs and 1000 kits and that’s probably an understatement

I will take you back to Sims 1 when they tried having a multiplayer online Sims game and it sucked. I have played every version of this game. This literally is gonna turn into SimCity 2013, and it will crash and burn on a 10-year-old engine. They know it will and they want to because EA is not even trying to keep this franchise alive. They have literally gaslighted people into thinking they don't want a new game so they don't have to do any work. That pretty much sums up this whole decision. They are literally trying to destroy his franchise because they don't want to work on it. And you're trying to convince us that we just wanna play this last iteration for the rest of our lives which will not last longer than a year if that long after they switch to all this nonsense they I came up with. My Sims may last a little longer, but as for the main game, it is about to be buried. This is EA's way of putting the Sims dog to sleep.

I think if I didn't have mods or still played on console, I would be like others who are done and ready for something new. I've also had played sims 2 and 3 when I was younger and I can 100% agree those are MUCH better. More depth and OPEN WORLD alone makes them superior. All that being said... patiently waiting for Paralives :P
From an economic standpoint, it's very simple. The executives must continue to be pleased with the sales of expansions and other packs. It is only a concern over this that would inspire either a new iteration or an end to the franchise at large. This is basically reheated pizza.

Expansive?! This game is a shallow puddle on a degrading land mass. Sims 2 and 3 seperate are more deep and stable than Sims 4 with all the DLC. FFS, Sims 4 doesn’t even have cars.
Well let's look at this objectively shall we? If EA was to make a sim 5, they would have to compete with Inzoi and Paralives who are including a lot of features in their base game, such as weather, going to work, relationship date stuff, wedding stuff, etc. EA couldn't monetize that content anymore if that was the case, they would have to add not only that to their base game but more to keep themselves relevant. However, by not competing and just sticking with Sims 4, they can continue monetizing on those packs and milking whatever packs they want to release and as a show of face toward the community, they have the 'most content' compared to the competition. It's a shitty stance and a really bad move by EA. The engine is a disaster, it was NEVER meant to be run as long as it has. I quit playing because of how broken the content was getting and they were just installing rabbit holes for everything. Each expansion pack and content was getting less and less compared to the previous ones but still keeping the high prices. I got tired of throwing money toward a broken product and it's why I'm not going back after this announcement. With EA's weird plans to keep going with sims 4 and not make a sims 5, it explains why Sim Guru Grant left the company. He must of knew this was their plan and wanted something better which is why he joined up with an indie company Midsummer Studios instead to make his own life sim. Between the game Midsummer studios is making, Vivaland, Inzoi and paralives, I think we have quite a few alternatives to say goodbye to this garbage of a company and their bad practices.

Welp, I think my long run with the sims is coming to an end. Been playing the sims since Sims 1. Sims 3 was THE best with 2 being a close second.

EA is the Grim Reaper of gaming. EA also already knows how this goes. They put out a mobile version of Apex Legends in May 2022. They shut it down last year. Instead of fixing it, they rebranded it and are back to shilling their busted game. Sound familiar? The jokes write themselves at this point.
This is just one game; they've destroyed many others and closed lots of studios in the name of CEO Andrew Wilson pandering to Wall Street. People on Wall Street don't care about other people unless it is their wallet being drained.

Actually, I’ve played the sims since the original. Sims 2 is my favorite. However, with the addition of infants and the grow together milestones, this has really helped with my enjoyment of family gameplay. I also use a lot of mods to further enhance gameplay. With all the money I’ve put into sims 4, I really didn’t want to have to buy all backs all over again. I will continue to add to sims 4 as I see fit with new content and also enjoy new life sims that come out.
Maybe they're pulling a WildCard and make us pay for a visually updated version of the Sims 4 and all its expansion packs. Lol

I’m disappointed and sad at the trajectory that they are deciding to take this franchise I love. Like why is it so hard for them to see that the problems and constant bugs that keep popping up with each new patch update or pack is because the sims 4 at its core is broken. Like the intentions they had for the game were completely different from what we got and the adding more stuff isn’t making the problem better just making it worse. I don’t understand why having a new and updated version of the sims is such a bad thing. I think it would have made more sense actually cause now there’s a new base to start on. Like I am glad that it’s happening at a time where there are new players in the life simulation genre, so there’s something to be hopeful for. But I cannot help but to grieve what could have been at this point for the sims. What a shame

Okay , my friend and I go back to back on this topic. VISUALLY sims 4 is perfect and the mechanics they have now is awesome if you go play back the other sims games. I got use to them doing more than one thing at a time and its frustrating when playing the other games. HOWEVER 3 was perfect. IF THEY kept 3 playing wise and the visual of 4 they would have a perfect sims games.

The sims 4 is my first ever sims game because I’m 08, and i expected it to just continue doing with the different generations sims the sims 2 and the sims 3 but nope. Honestly, I think, at some point, there will have to be The Sims 5 as the current game simply will be too broken and outdated but they will delay that as much as they can. Basically, a lot of people spent a lot of money on the current game (me included, so no judgment) and now they are worried if they stop supporting TS 4, most of the players won't spend money on TS 5.

How do I feel? They are going to turn Sims 4 into a game I don't want to play, which will mean all the money invested in it just went down the toilet. Well I will never make the mistake of investing in EA ever again. They are trying to make it into a game that isn't "The Sims" at all. I guess I'll just find another game I like or two and move on. Honestly I have only played the sims 4 and constantly hearing different features from the previous sims games. My first thought is WHY THE FUCK DID THEY LEAVE SO MUCH FEATURES OUT OF THE SIMS 4 LAUNCH!!!!!!! Like I hear so many features like your sim can cuddle in bed with another sim. In the sims 4 it’s locked by an expansion pack that is $40. Massively annoying. The sims 3 had at launch and sims 2. I never played them but I’m fully aware of certain features that should have been in the sims 4 from the start
I'm a bit disappointed because I tried to play sims 4 a lot of times, but it felt super boring, and I just gave up. (I've been playing the sims since 2000 so I have some idea what a good sims game can be like). So I had hopes that the sims 5 may won't be a rushed, boring, buggy game and it might be enjoyable and I can sit on the hype-ride with the sims community about new expansions etc.

I have played sims 1,2,3 and 4. I’m not mad at their choice to not upgrade into sims 5. Being here since the beginning, something I know is how greedy EA has been with the series since sims 3 and now is worse with sims 4. Do you guys think that sims 5 will include all what we would consider basic in a simulation game? Weather, pets, gameplay features for the different ages and vocations? They will not, that’s where they make the majority of their revenue. Most people are tired because they want another art style or because 10 years is a lot of time playing the same game. Also another reason why they won’t do it is because they made it free not long ago reaching more people and subsequently those people will buy expansions and packs making more revenue along the way. I personally rather see what the competition would bring.

Open world is never coming to sims 4. The foundation wasn’t built to sustain it. Which is why people wanted sims 5 because then they can implement open world into the foundation and build from there.

I enjoy the sims 4 but what keeps it from being a good game isn’t the lack of elevators, fairies, or even cars. It’s the sims themselves. They have no personality and don’t feel alive like they did in sims 2 or 3.
If they could get rid of the emotion system and give sims personalities and memories, it would refresh this game. Even if sims5 came out, I invested too much in 4 to invest in sims5 expansions 😂
Of course they're not doing Sims 5. Why would they when they have Sims 4 apologist who will continue to buy the Sims 4? They don't have confidence in Project Renee either which is why they're having the Sims 4 run simultaneously. This whole not wanting to start over is a weak excuse especially for a company that make video games. The game has turned into a building simulation game with mundane gameplay, filled with Sim characters with no personality and barely have connections to others in a closed world. The fact this game still lacks extended family or other relationships like cousins, half siblings, step parents/siblings, aunts, uncles, adoptive parents, godparents, legal guardian, foster parent, etc. is ridiculous.
So many things could have been made for the Sims 5 like more family relationships, newborns and preteens included in CAS as lifestages, Create A World tool or lot placements could have been brought back to the Sims, an open world or semi open neighborhoods, cars and transportation could have been brought back, the clothing system from Sims 2 where you have to buy clothes in the game and the Sims weren't limited to a certain amounts of outfits.
It also doesn't help that they kept laying off workers, outsourcing their jobs overseas or having employees keep leaving. That just exposes how bad EA as a company is. Sims 4 really did ruin the Sims franchise. Would not be surprised if they end up selling the company to Disney or Bezos in a few years.

They realized they can´t compete with Inzoi so instead of splitting the player base between S4 and S5, they kept it the same and expanded on it so its consistent.
Paralives and Inzoi really shook EA/maxis up and had them cancel it. Paralives shook them up to release this project renee to get people hyped and people still aren’t hyped especially now that you’re trying to fix the sims 4 and people are tired of it. The sims 4 was originally supposed to have multiplayer but y’all had to meet a deadline and release date and the game wasn’t working so you not only released a broken game? Every update has been broken. Give sims 4 up. It’s dying and mods are saving it. Trying to add multiplayer on to the sims 4 is really dooming the franchise. But i think they’re creating a ploy to say it’s cancelled so people can stop asking about it and they can really snatch ideas from paralives and inzoi.

Their talk about progress resetting is weak and shows how much they don't understand gaming one bit. A new game doesn't stop earlier games. The Sims 2 and 3 is proof of that. All they've done is cherry pick the comments to show ones that support what they want.
I've said all along that Project Rene was not the Sims 5 but it would effectively be a replacement for it, along with the Sims Online and maybe the mobile games. Probably the Sims 4 eventually too, as they're going to continue slowly drowning the Sims 4 in buggy, broken DLC while failing to fix the game because they can't and it doesn't make them money.
