I have been obsessed with the burle marx flame lately. I love the shape of the leaves. Absolutely gorgeous! And that large form 🥰 bring it on. Love those massive leaves
Kaylee, your statement about enjoying plants really hit home for me, I have a few plants that are expensive, but I just keep what brings me joy to watch them grow. I keep small ficus trees that are inexpensive and common, and that's been a lot of fun for me, just watching them grow is entertaining
I actually like green on green variegation because it’s such a mystery. From far away, you wouldn’t know it’s variegated but once you step closer, you get a surprised of variegation
If it's real green on green variegation, I like it too. Problem is that many people claim to have one, even though they only have a nutrient deficiency or not enough light or an overwatering issue on a single leaf, lol.
I love this content! 🌱 By the way, the holes along the main vein on the _M. dubia_ (doo-bee-ah, feminine of dubious) are actually *fenestrations* . Fenestration comes from _fenestra_ , Latin for window. The holes along the leaf margins are called *pinnations* (or sinuses).
Note; Pumice is A lava rock, but pumice isn't what we commonly call lava rock. The reds, browns, and blacks of "lava rocks" we see in landacapes and bonsai soil is called "scoria" and it's. Abit different. Larger pores, and can be sharper edges.
I adore any monstera large form. Bring on the drama! 😆 I just love all of them. I worry about the varigated forms, like are they getting enough food with their lack of chlorophil, but also they are just so stunning and beautiful. The mint too!
36:36 KAYLEE ELLEN, are you kidding me??!! That plant is why I'M HERE!!!! I have a deep ROOTED connection with that plant!! It started my variegated Monstera obsession at the start of Lockdown. I remember stalking it in your past videos when it sat in front of your doors in your last apartment!! LEMME SEE IT!!!!! Lol P.S. you know I love ya xx
Hi Kaylee! I was wondering if you could please do a video on the new “princess” philodendrons coming out. I’ve seen new ones like “black cherry,” “persimmon princess,” and “orange princess” floating around Etsy for several bucks more than the regular PPP. Also was wondering which formerly-rare species have come down in price. I’ve noticed that Burle Marx flames and variegated caramel marbles cost ~10x less than they did last year, and was wondering what else might be going up and down.
I have Dubia, but I keep propping it so it hasn't gotten to the mature stage yet. Super slow growing until it gets established then it takes off. I love mine!
Love this video, I appreciate your huge selection, so many people think that Monstera is just one thing which is so sad. I would love to have a small shop like you one day.
For the fading coloration. There are a few things happening, the permanent variegation as to do with the lack of chloroplasts in the tissue that come from the meristem of the growth point that could have or not the beloved chloroplasts. But when a plant has in his genetic that the leaves come out white there is a way that can move some chloroplasts through their stem to make a leaf more green when the plant is exposed to low light
The white monster is a dream plant… it’s so pretty. Would love to know what that obliqua is if you can get an accurate id. I’m one of the weirdos interested in similar looking monsteras🫣 I have so many! So so excited for the anthurium collection video 😬
The mint is what is called NOID - it’s not a large form (or a small), it’s more an intermediate form. The large form aurea is definitely a mature small form. They are all lovely! :)
such gorgeous plants! I have a brazil form, and just really noticed how flat the lobes are, cool plant! Here in Australia the BM flame is outrageously expensive, more so than mint deliciosa.
I feel like the monstera brasil common form has less lateral veins and the veins radiate from the apex of the lamina more. Idk i just think it's cool that it's so similar yet so different.
"It's like losing a game of Jumaji." Sounds glorious! That's the goal for my home. ❤ I've only been collecting plants again for about 5 months. I've only managed to get a standard deliciosa, some adansonii, and an El Selvador siltepicana so far. Next week standleyana albo will be joining the collection. Yay I'm on a mission to collect as many epipremnum, monstera, and philodendron species/cultivars as I can. lol
I feel like the standard deliciosa is so underrated! Even though I own about 40 ''rare'' tropical plants, my regular deliciosa is still my favourite in my collection at the moment because it's getting massive! It's two and half years old but I've only taken good care of it in the past year and was able to bring its leaf size from 1-foot wide to 2-foot wide and there's no sign of slowing down!
I like the obliqua Peru, got a wetstick in a prop box and hope it will start growing (was only 10 euro for a rooted wet stick). That said, I also love my adensonii and would love an esqueleto and burle marx flame. And the dubia is struggling but I still hope it will take of in spring
@kayleeellen On another video I watched about white monsters (from a monstera collector), they said one of the features of the white monster is that the first few leaves will come out all white and die off. You have to wait (and lose a few leaves) before they start going green. It’s part of the reason for their expense, as some burn all their energy making those albino leaves and they die. So looks like your old white leaf had just enough green in it not to die off.
The Burle Marx 'Flame' should grow faster if you add some calciumnitrate to the feed. The harder the leaf, the more calcium they need to build a new leaf. Calciumnitrate is one of the few water soluble versions of calcium. Other forms aren't accesible to the plant if there's no soil. Also, gimme that Burle Marx 'Flame'! It is a pretty as it is expensive.
I rescued some regular small form Monstera deliciosas from my last job and one of the plants in the pot I kept back for myself turned out to be green-on-green variegated and I love it. Only have that and adansonii but siltepecana is next on the list, hopefully soon!
I rescued a deliciosa from a dumpster, it was right on top in the pot lol that was a few years ago now and that thing is a MONSTER! Haha I've gotten adinsonii and last fall I got myself an El Salvador, love my monstera though
I want one of each! Except maybe the Dubia (shingling one) because I wouldn't have the wall space for it. Love all the variegations, thank you for sharing your collection. Also I swear in another video you mentioned a monstera albo that was only throwing out white leaves. Just saw another grower mention the first 2 are always white, then the greener ones come in. (hope I'm leaving this on the right channel!)
I thought (from watching your videos) your posture reaaaaally looked like an equestrian's one! The shirt confirmed it lol! We seem to gravitate thowards very expensive hobbies I guess! Your thai is the prettiest one I've seen so far, there's so much cream in it!
Been dying to get my hands on a Brazilian common form for years. I've been keeping my fingers crossed that they'll become common enough to drop onto double digits at some point 🤞
Hello I'm new to watching your videos. Absolutely love your shop and all the plants in it. I was wondering if you have an absolute favorite? Or what is on your wish list. Thanks April from Wyoming USA
I actually bought a brasil form and I love the BIG fenestrations in the juvenile leaves. I think the juvenile plant looks better than the regular form because of it ❤
5:38 that’s what I want! I don’t want a big boy to start off with I want a lil baby Thai that will one day be big. I don’t want a cutting of a massive leaf. I just want a juvenile Thai constellation. But who knows when that day will ever come 😅
Jumanji situation …😂 I love that. I live it in my home too, they all love my green wall growing too big and keep coming forward. Too much love every day, lucky us ❤
Question I have 2 of just the normal monstera deliciosa one is a cutting and the other is a plant that was given to me and it has big leafs and holes how do u tell if it a huge or normal form ,can tell or do you have to wait to see
hi kaylee, do you know if there is a large form deliciosa variegated . or is the thai constellation basically it? i have a cutting growing that has ruffled petioles and is darker green than the borsigiana .. nose spacings are wider than the thai . ❤ my favourite has to be the yellow large form. didn’t think i would like it when it first came on the scene but it’s won me over for sure lol❤
So that's the name of one of my monsteras ~ the Brasilian common form! I also have monstera borsigiana and also another monstera deliciosa with big leaves. I can't wait for your philodendron video.
After watching your video on tai constellation and hearing you describe the differences between what you call type 1 and type 2, I have paid close attention to everyone I've seen. Now to my point, I think the type 2, which you describe as having a more stem than leaf, tend to have much more variation. I wonder if you have noticed this as well, and if this is a product of introducing another variety of monsteria to incorporate more varigation. The tai constellation you showed in this video had so much varigation it looked more like an albo or mint. What do you think?
Kaylee I am not trying to be nit picky I promise I just don't get why there's a need to differentiate fenestrations from "holes". Fenestrations means windows, which in this case are holes-or perforations. The 'splits' of deliciosa are still fenestrations because even though they are long oval shaped cut-outs they do not fully extend to the leaf margin--though they do come super super close and very often tear.
In Japan they say that the white monster gets whiter when its roots are struggling a little. Cut roots back and your next leaf will be whiter. Also, fertilizer promotes more green. I don't own one so I can't say, but thats what I'm hearing from some Japanese producers.
The burle marx flame is so up my alley!!
Love it❤
Same! I stopped and showed the wife and told her I had a new long term goal to find one 🤑
I don't know if it's just me but it'd kind of looks like those fancy knifes in fantasy series.
I have been obsessed with the burle marx flame lately. I love the shape of the leaves. Absolutely gorgeous! And that large form 🥰 bring it on. Love those massive leaves

Definitly got some new love for monstera after this! Specially this green on green one, truely amazing honestly

I have a tiny aurea that I got about a week ago, and it’s already giving me a new leaf!! I can’t wait to watch it grow!
Oh I'm sooooo looking forward for the Philodendron collection 🥰
It’s crazy and amazing how many variegations of Monstera there are now. Thanks for showcasing them 😃👍🏽🌿
I adore any monstera large form. Bring on the drama! 😆 I just love all of them. I worry about the varigated forms, like are they getting enough food with their lack of chlorophil, but also they are just so stunning and beautiful. The mint too!

Monstera Burle Marx Flame... Drool omg I love it so much!!! The shape is S.E.X.Y!

I’ve seen cotton candy ppp
Yea right? Also saw some of them
I have Dubia, but I keep propping it so it hasn't gotten to the mature stage yet. Super slow growing until it gets established then it takes off. I love mine!
What a cool idea for a video! Really looking forward to the other species!
Love this video, I appreciate your huge selection, so many people think that Monstera is just one thing which is so sad. I would love to have a small shop like you one day.
My favorite plant is the Monstera Deliciosa and I had no clue there were so many varieties. Thank you for showing all of yours!
The way you popped on screen with the last monstera😂😂adorably funny!
For the fading coloration. So so excited for the anthurium collection video 😬
I keep on replaying the 17:30 karstenianum moment, somehow hilarious to me! Nice collection!
Absolutely loved this and I can’t wait to watch the Anthurium collection! 😊
The mint is what is called NOID - it’s not a large form (or a small), it’s more an intermediate form. The large form aurea is definitely a mature small form. They are all lovely! :)
The regular deliciosa is one of my favorite plants if not the favorite of them all
After your video on plants you still love, I got a pinnatipartita. I love it! It's on a moss pole so hopefully it'll start sizing up soon!
I think I need a “hanging plants” video from you. Belts, wild, neat shingle types…
Also... that BURLE MARX FLAME... like stahp.. Ugh I want one.. sssoo frigging badddd 🥲😭
Great video! I just realized I don't have enough Monstera in my collection 😁
P.S.: hello? the eyeshadow?! lovely ✨
Love your monstera collection. I just received the Dubia & can’t wait to plank it. Thanks for sharing!
Oooooooooooh, love the Lechleriana idk if that particular one had my jam in variegation or if that’s the way it typically variegated. Noice!
Thank you so much for your videos! Your generosity is amazing! I love your sense of humor, and I feel like you are my friend.
What is your opinion on moss poles? Do you grow anything on moss poles (or planks) and if so what has your experience been?
I loved this video!!! so many beautiful monsteras 💚💚💚
such gorgeous plants! I have a brazil form, and just really noticed how flat the lobes are, cool plant! Here in Australia the BM flame is outrageously expensive, more so than mint deliciosa.
I love these videos❤️🔥 I love learning about plants and just seeing them and it’s just chill vibes. I loooove that burle marx flame!
I feel like the monstera brasil common form has less lateral veins and the veins radiate from the apex of the lamina more. Idk i just think it's cool that it's so similar yet so different.

I like the obliqua Peru, got a wetstick in a prop box and hope it will start growing (was only 10 euro for a rooted wet stick). That said, I also love my adensonii and would love an esqueleto and burle marx flame. And the dubia is struggling but I still hope it will take of in spring
I got a siltepecana 8 inch basket last yrs. Love it

I would like to ask about the Monstera Burlemarx Flame tree for a root cutting . What is the price including delivery?
Wow! Amazing collection you have.♥️♥️♥️
Soo many stunning babes!!! Hard to choose a favorite, that’s for sure!
What happened to the one monstera you had that grew like a BOP?
Thanks, now I want a burle marx flame 🙄, haha.
Such a cool plant.
Me too 😂

That monstera laniata looks incredible! Definitely adding it to the wishlist 😂 28:55
Omg.. Honestly Kaylee, your monstera collection is INCREDIBLE 😍😍 that mature large form aurea.. like.. STAAHHHPPP 🤤🤤 That is the thumbnail!! 😂🤣😅
You need to get a monstera esqueleto, they would be right up your alley i think!!
Been dying to get my hands on a Brazilian common form for years. I've been keeping my fingers crossed that they'll become common enough to drop onto double digits at some point 🤞
Wow Just love those large form monsteras !
I have a few monsteras in my collection still loads more on my wish list tho !
Townhouse Tropicals
Hello I'm new to watching your videos. Absolutely love your shop and all the plants in it. I was wondering if you have an absolute favorite? Or what is on your wish list. Thanks April from Wyoming USA
I actually bought a brasil form and I love the BIG fenestrations in the juvenile leaves. I think the juvenile plant looks better than the regular form because of it ❤
Hey. Do you know the difference between a brasil form and a compacta by any chance?
it should be quite obvious if you search for pics. The compacta is a dwarf version and does not look anything like the Brazilian Common Form
5:38 that’s what I want! I don’t want a big boy to start off with I want a lil baby Thai that will one day be big. I don’t want a cutting of a massive leaf. I just want a juvenile Thai constellation. But who knows when that day will ever come 😅
Im waiting for you to get M.Oceana/OceanMint, Yellow Marilyn, Thaicon's varian (Creme Brulee, Medusa, Legacy), and any Monstera Contorta
Thank you, I loved them all!!
I have 7 different types. Monstera Standleyana albo and aurea. And one called Monstera Acacoyaguensis on top of a few of what you have.
It’s a green on green WE LOVE THAT- 🎉 HELL YES!!! 🤩
Ughhh…. So much more to love and wish.. i have monstera thai, albo, aurea and green on green, wishing to have more
I love that mint monstera 😍
"Like losing a game of Jumanji."

I can't wait for Anthuriums!!! They're my favorite. Such elegant beauty.
When do we get your nutri product in the US . I just tried to order and it’s UK only ☹️
Ooooh am looking forward to the Anthurium one.
The mint one is gorgouse I've got a albo bit would love a Thai with it been stable verigation and a pinnapatita. X
Loved this !!!!
How about the Dubai? Did they ever reach the ceiling? I have an Amazing green on green that's bright chartreuse
The obliqua variety could be ‘Tambo’ . Love your videos!
Great video! 👍
Love them all! 💕
Love your collection. 😊
I’m surprised you didn’t have any variegated adansonii varieties! Love the plants
Jumanji situation …😂 I love that. I live it in my home too, they all love my green wall growing too big and keep coming forward. Too much love every day, lucky us ❤
I wrote to you in instagram, as Delphine, so glad 😊
Question I have 2 of just the normal monstera deliciosa one is a cutting and the other is a plant that was given to me and it has big leafs and holes how do u tell if it a huge or normal form ,can tell or do you have to wait to see
Hi i have monstera Siltepicana and Monstera Pinatipartita thts awsome and i have propagated lot from that too
How to you tell the difference between a monstera and a philodendron and a thamatophyllum?
hi kaylee, do you know if there is a large form deliciosa variegated . or is the thai constellation basically it? i have a cutting growing that has ruffled petioles and is darker green than the borsigiana .. nose spacings are wider than the thai . ❤ my favourite has to be the yellow large form. didn’t think i would like it when it first came on the scene but it’s won me over for sure lol❤
I have half of them, I love monsteras 😍
so that vegetated trailing monstera at 29 mins ish is that some form of adansonii? thats all im seeing when looking for it ?
We have Obliqua in garden centers for 80€ in Finland 🤭
So that's the name of one of my monsteras ~ the Brasilian common form! I also have monstera borsigiana and also another monstera deliciosa with big leaves. I can't wait for your philodendron video.
Love the BM flame
hi can you make an update of your monsteras pls!
hi kaylee, what growing media did you use? are you using full leca hydroton? or just for topping?
After watching your video on tai constellation and hearing you describe the differences between what you call type 1 and type 2, I have paid close attention to everyone I've seen. When buying younger Monsteras is there a way to tell if it is Large form or Small Form?
Burle Marxe Flame 😍
Do you still have the variegated adansonii?
I love the flame monstera but that's definitely one i'll have to wait for it to come down in price😅
When will you be shipping to the US?
Kaylee I am not trying to be nit picky I promise I just don't get why there's a need to differentiate fenestrations from "holes". Fenestrations means windows, which in this case are holes-or perforations. The 'splits' of deliciosa are still fenestrations because even though they are long oval shaped cut-outs they do not fully extend to the leaf margin--though they do come super super close and very often tear.
“Like losing a game of Jumanji”! 🤣🤣 The way I CACKLED.
Costela de Adão is the common name we call in Brazil the monstera Brazil form. Translating "Adam's ribs"
In Japan they say that the white monster gets whiter when its roots are struggling a little. Cut roots back and your next leaf will be whiter. Also, fertilizer promotes more green. I don't own one so I can't say, but thats what I'm hearing from some Japanese producers.
I picked up an Obliqua at Home Depot in USA
