😁👍 crazy! Rusted bearings are a bad thing...this is why I always tell everyone coat all the metal parts with grease gears rods everything! and also the bearings and the inside of them that rides on the rod going through it plus the rod going through also or axles because they can rust on like yours did and you can't get the buggers off!!!

Use marine grease on you axels and gear box. It will push out the water and keep it from rusting. You should be able to get a lifetime supply at any auto parts store.

great video kevin, having no maintenance done to that axle and bringing it back to life with just new bearings is a pretty good show of this truck being tough for all the abuse you do to it!

Your videos are amazing and super fun to watch, but heres some advice from a real mechanic. MAKE SURE YOUR WORKSPACE IS CLEAN. While you were rebuilding that differential from your trx4 all the dirt and rust you cleaned out pretty much when back in it cuz your ands were covered in grease and touching the dirt on the towel and you even had an O-ring sitting in the middle of it lol. that was just super sloppy and if you ever want things to last a long time make sure they're perfectly clean when you put them back together lol. Other then that your videos are super entertaining and keep up the great work.

Hey kev things seize all the time mainly gearboxes but there is one way to prevent it. You need to take the diff apart every time you've been out in the thick mud and even if you haven't been in the mud say for like a month that month you need to check your diff so it doesn't seize. So that was just a tip so you don't have to replace things all the time.

Yep dirt gets in everywhere try cutting nitro fuel line to the length of the axe to fit the tube and add silicone sealant around the fuel line when it dries the shaft will spin in the tube as it will be held by the silicone.
On my 5th scale FID and Kraken solid axles I have used motorbike valve stem seals.
Have you used the Arma chassis end pieces for the skid plates to protect the billet chassis, almost to pretty to use, I felt the same every time I fitted a new chassis to all of mine apart from the FID Dragon Hammer the chassis has stood upto more abuse than all my others. Give me a shout when you need a new HPI Baja Chassis I have a couple laying around.

Kev - a thought and a couple of questions. I know you love monster trucks. Have you seen the Trigger King R/C monster truck’s? They do some impressive freestyle on that channel - similar to the bashing videos that you do but with smaller ramps. Seems like you would enjoy one of their trucks. Next, I know you have not tried Redcat. I highly recommend their monster truck, the Ground Pounder. With a metal chassis, four wheel steering, and a reasonably low center of gravity I’ve been amazed at how quickly mine can change direction and how well I can control it. You will need to add power and stiffen/improve the axles,. Finally, I am in the US and have followed Monster Jam since 1987, back when Bigfoot vs Grave Digger was the contest to see. My first hobby grade RC was /is a Tamiya Lunchbox. Here is my thought. Rather than show up with another american truck that we”ve all seen before (as much as Inlike a chevy C10) have you considered using a Land Rover body, on your monster truck, like Andy the Landy,? That would really differentiate you on the Monster Jam circuit. That or a mini cooper body shell. Since you would be unique as a driver from the UK it looks like something you could market and merchandise. Thanks for keeping up your channel and keep having fun.

    Hello,
    Great channel.
I’ve never seen you do archery but I’ve always had an idea of building an RC moving target. Any interest?
It would make a cool video to see guys like Cameron Hanes and Joe Rogan shooting their arrows at an RC Turkey Target doing 20mph.
I always thought 3D targets actually moving in 3 dimensional space would be the future of advanced archery and firearm training.
Or like a Rumba type target?
Anyway, thanks for the entertainment and inspiration.
