    Fantastic video that 99% of all golfers will not take advantage of. I have balanced for end over end putting, but never thought about ball flight/shape. With your marks one can easily read the lie of the ball in the fairway as well and see if there is a draw/fade/high/low bias. Thanks for taking the time to explain your process. (PS, the dixie cup tip is priceless!)

    Now that is a tip! I've always suspected as much, especially using range balls out of round and placing them in certain ways on the tee for the desired effect. I really enjoy your videos about the golf swing in general. Keep up the great work!

    Thanks for posting! Coconut oil seems to work well enough too (oil/grease may not be needed at all). Big difference maker for me!

      @@gravitygolf On earth we are constantly living with gravity, how can you make a perfect ball when weight is involved? Take a golf club and balance the shaft horizontal in the palm of one hand. With your other hand turn the shaft then let go, the toe of the golf club head will always point down to the floor because of the weight. But if you drop the golf club with the shaft horizontal, the club head will stay in any position that it is in when you let go. This happens because when the club is in free fall it has no weight. As long as there is weight involved when they make a ball, they cannot make a perfect golf ball...CHEERS ! BTW, you made a great video.

    Fantastic theral video. Thankk you so much. One question? If you place the ball down on the green. Lets say its a 15 foot putt. And you have the heavy side of the ball on the left side and your putt has right to left break. Can I expect the ball to lightly break right to left? Like you said the irons and Driver do. Your thoughts

    To complement the tips about alternatives to using WD-40, I found doing individual balls to be a very long process, so I decided to drop in 4-5 balls in the bowl then take a picture. It was quick and easy to compare the photo to a second spin of the balls and determine which ones had a lighter spot.

    Thank you for the lesson. I have 2 dz TM TP5x and they spin back to same spot 2x as fast as ProV1's is it safe to assume that they are not centered.. I tested 6 and gave up because how quickly they spun back

    All I know is that kitchen better be put back like Momma had it? Otherwise she's gonna be balancing your ball!! This is wild; I'll do some ball balancing today when I get home! Thanks guys!!WOW, didn't realize how important the WD40 is!! It really does allow the ball to rotate better in the salt water!

    Instead of using WD40, you might want to use dish soap. It does the same thing, and is much easier to wipe off the ball and get it off your hands. Just a little warm water and it's off. Much better than using WD40 which is an oil.

    What is the orientation if a straight shot is desired ?

    • @gravitygolf
      @gravitygolf  2 роки тому

      Just poin it end over end. If you put the heave side up yo begin with it will promote a lower ball flight and vice versa.

    You use to be able to tell with the older golf balls. There would be 1 line around the golf ball without any dimples covering it. I use to mark line on it and helped a lot. They don't do that anymore =/

    I do float all my golf balls but only for the purpose of putting. I think that is where you will see the most impact. Hitting an aligned the ball tee to green has less impact on ball flight than you indicate. Keep this in mind: you can not pick the ball up and align it after you tee off and until you reach the green. Also, range balls are some of the cheapest (usually) on the market. I don't align those and nearly all my shots start slightly right with a little draw. That kind of busts your alignment myth tee to green......Still a great idea for putting!

    If you don't have WD-40. add a little Dawn dish soap to the water.

    doesnt seem to work, the ball settles, but when i press on ball again it settles in different spot each time???

    • @gravitygolf
      @gravitygolf  7 років тому +9

      If the ball moves to different spot, making sure that you have put the wd-40 or water resisting agent on the ball, than it means that you have a well balanced golf ball. Save that one for competition =).
