      Daniel, would you say keeping that right leg steady to be able to fall back is important?

    Holy crap. Shifting my weight off of the right, not to the right. Explains 29 years of inconsistent golf. .....sigh..... got to scratch too from "golf my way" ... doing it wrong.
    Thanks Daniel and your dad. A forty something "coulda been" is enjoying golf again and teaching it to his sons. I hope you both feel some pride at that.

    Dr. Kwon teaches this as well. David Lee was on this before the biomechanics professors started studying the golf swing. I just had a session with Dr. Kwon and he was trying to get me to do this exact thing.

    Thanks again Danny! Had a lesson with Jim yesterday at WW and we worked on the very same principals. That and getting closer to the ball at address. BOOM when it all comes together. Keep it in the Short Grass my friend!

    Danny, I've been glued to my computer screen for 2 days now. I ordered the DVD and the book is on the way. The light just went off for me during this video. I have yet to go to the range, but when I do I'm certain that I will be able to move my weight off the right side. Thank you and your father.

    Daniel, would you say your heave immediately bounces off your right leg 🦵 fairly quickly?

    • @gravitygolf
      @gravitygolf  2 місяці тому +1

      @@chroniclesofahighhandicapp4467 It goes back over the right heel
      This helps elevate the arms on the front side. If done at the right pace, from the right posture, breaks gravity momentarily out of the upper body, as well as the left foot and frees up the rotation in the backswing to idealy turn the whole body in unison.

    • @chroniclesofahighhandicapp4467
      @chroniclesofahighhandicapp4467 2 місяці тому

      @@gravitygolf fair to say that the energy from the heave is released before it gets to the top and then a second release happens after the weight has moved to the left axis point?
      I know the two in one is hard to master, but I especially feel that on short pit shots and even eight and nine irons

    Wow Danny...your phrase "shifting my weight to the right vs shifting my weight off of the right" is profound! That statement cleared up a lot of the gravity technique for me. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but this is why you and your father want a strong heave which will facilitate shifting weight off of my right which will add momentum to the counterfall which makes the whole motion somewhat automatic and increases power? Correct?

    I've used gravity golf for a decade now. I recently came 8ack to it. It's the 8est. Many teachers talk a8out keeping the el8ows down and connected, the upper arm staying close to the chest ala Hogan, Jimmy 8allard, etc. How come you don't do it and it doesn't hinder your 8all striking consistency? I see 8oth your arms way up and el8lows pointing outward.

    Gday. Where is the weight how and where is the weight transferred from start to finish of your swing. I find I sway more doing it your way, I basically have 40 on front and 60 on back foot thru most of the swing except at end where weight is 50 50. Thanks

    • @gravitygolf
      @gravitygolf  6 років тому

      george gonczarek the people who study they weight, like Body Track and other methods, have shown that the most prefecient as well as top players have 100% of their weight on their left heel at impact. However far back you are to start, you want your weight moving forwarsds so at the time of impact all of you weight is there. Keep us up to date and let us know if you have any further questions or need more explination. All the best!

    • @gravitygolf
      @gravitygolf  6 років тому

      +george gonczarek from whatever weight distribution you start with and wherever that puts your center of mass...the ball needs to be forward of that position...that way when your arms get to the top of the shoulder turn... you can start allowing the back of your body to begin moving towards your target (like taking the first step backwards) then the arms can fall and lastly the body turn back towards the target. The whole point is wherever the body starts from, it needs room to be moving forwards and get the body weight flowing. Have fun and keep us in the loop!

  • @thomasdavico3107
    @thomasdavico3107 4 роки тому

    Danny, shifting the mass off the right suggests it moves to the left. At one point does this axis shift become too much and problematic?
    I don't see your head move much to the left at all in transition.

    • @gravitygolf
      @gravitygolf  4 роки тому

      The mass moves back to the left by the completion of the backswing. It will not work correctly if your heave is not intense enough and you don’t release all the tension at the point of first release. As long as you get those right, and you don’t re-introduce tension, you are well on your way to a properly compressed golf ball!

    With the driver is where I sway back then fire my arms and my torso leans farther back. This leads to topping the ball. I don't have this problem with my irons.
