I find a 2-3 inch lift with factory or maybe slightly larger tires to be the best balance of performance and still getting your MPG/comfort for daily driver.
I think what a lot of people don't realize, is that wheel travel is far more important than "lift". You can be on a 2"-3" suspension setup, but if done properly, you can maximize wheel travel and articulation. Some trucks (and I'm picking on bracket lifts here, sorry not sorry) will install a 6" lift and have the same "wheel travel" as stock, or sometimes even worse.
Great job. I smiled watching that. Not sure why I enjoyed it so much but having the same truck, same lift, I can totally relate. I wanted something understated as well.
Thanks for posting! 😊
Right on!
I totally agree 2 inches of lift is just right for an all-purpose daily driven truck. You should get a few MPGs back as well. I'm picking up my 2023 Pro4x tomorrow and I plan to do a 2 inch lift and slightly larger tires as part of my long term build out. I don't want anything crazy that's annoying to drive on-road everyday. I want just the right balance between off-road capability and on-road comfort.
I think the main sexiness of a Titan Swap is the "bulldog" stance. My 05 Xterra w/ 285/75/16's, stock wheels and 2" lift doesn't look wide at all. Would love to do a spacer on the wheels, but just too many horror stories I'm not mechanically inclined enough to really understand the pluses/minuses of.
The 2" lift on your rig doesn't even look "intentionally" lifted in the front. Just looks like what stock height should have been from factory.
Agreed, the titan swap is a great stance but not practical in most cases. We try to build for what we use the vehicle for.
And yes, should have been similar in height from the factory, but here we are lol
Chad, you are soooo laid back. It just blows me away how you do your job while wearing flip-flops...lol
BTW I'm loving my 2 1/2 inch Kona lift. It's just under a year of having it. You guys do phenomenal work. Thanks again.
Nice! You guys supplied my Koni 82 kit and front e locker on my 2022. Been nothing but extremely pleased.
Awesome video. You guys supplied almost all the parts for my T-swap'ed 2015 Frontier. Highly recommend you guys to anyone needing parts.
Right on! Glad to help!
Can you please make this a shirt!?
"Two inches is all I need"
-Chad
We'll consider it 😂
I would buy that
Add me to the preorder
I'm in send it 😂
This is how great merch is made, :D.
Such a great video, and I'm definitely staying tuned in for the end result.
Gonna be a good one!
Bravo, Chad and ADO team!
Thanks!
Good morning chad
I will have to say that I’m still rocking the all dog off road Broverland kit for my 2005
Nissan Xterra with the stock upper and lower control arms and still going strong will see you at the PNW EXPO in Redmond this year going to be fun 😊😊😊
Strong mighty car mods vibes with this video. 👏👏
Well, what do you know.. Just this afternoon I was looking out the restaurant window at an SV 4x4 thinking "Yeah.. I like that truck." So I look on UA-cam and find your videos and guess what.. we're in the same town! Don't know that I'll ever be a customer (still totally love my TDI Touareg) but keep up the good work!
Awsome videoe!
Good one.
Thanks!
I have a little over 2 inches with the 5100's on my '14 and it really needs UCA's
I LOVE my Koni lift I got from yall.
AWESOME! Glad to hear!
Does it come with everything you need and how difficult is it to do
@Richard Bierbrodt Yes. I opted not to get the upper control arms & it has been on my truck for about about 2 years with zero issues. I also put bigger tires on my factory 17s. The ride is so much smoother than Billies. Konis just soak up bumps & ease out of them.
Chad doing a suspension swap in sandals and daisy dukes is hilarious to me 😂
But on a serious note, how do the konis do for suspension travel up front?
i think you'll like Oregon dude. Not sure about Redmond specifically, but PNW is awesome.
Looking forward to it!
PNW here. Washington State, approx. 50 minutes North of Seattle.
Great video, excellent camera work / sound track. So the factory rear sway bar clears with the ARB rear diff cover?
Thank you and yes appears to fit just fine! :)
After market really needs to step up on some Nissan gear.
Great video I got an 2012 frontier and I also don't think I need the Titan swap but I'm looking to upgrade and looks like this is a good start. Was going to ask about running Titan brakes or a suggestion on a brake upgrade? Thanks
Would recommend the Armada brake kit. That's what our 2015 Titan Swapped Frontier is running with our 17" wheels. Keep in mind that if you have the 16" wheels, they might not clear the bigger brakes.
What is the intro song? Awesome build btw, looking to get a lift for my 3rd gen soon!
Might have to look into that haha I have it somewhere... but yesssss do it!
Bro can you guys lift the pathfinder 2023? Make it aggressive. Im from Socal
I put 3 spacer, and 2 inch shackles on 2014 frontier.the rides sucks.would like suggestion on thst coil shock combo,i was trying to level my truck.now the fronts higher then the back.
If you want to keep similar height, our Fox extended travel kit would be our recommendation.
How much for this exact lift kit
How is this lift kit with towing? I know you have parabolics on, does it improve towing performance or make it worse than stock?
Our springs are a little more heavier duty than stock, so you will gain more towing capacity.
I might have missed this, but did you go back to factory UCA or do you need aftermarket due to CBC?
Nope, went to our UCA to prevent any chance of CBC :)
how much travel do you get with the koni shocks? i’m really debating titan swap or not
Stay tuned for a little wheel travel video currently in the works.
Do One inch spacers Exit I just want a 2.5-3 in lift…. My 1 n 3/4 don’t cut it… I have 285s I want 33s… hope you can help?
There are a couple companies that make a 1" spacer, we are not one of them though.
285 is pretty much a 33.
My Falkens 285s are a 33 - 32.8 or something super close. JS
@AlldogsOffroadCoop which companies make the 1" top spacers? I'm set on buying the koni 82 with the ado uca but I want 3" lift. Will there be any spring sale soon (lol)?
I currently have 2" leveling kit. I could go with mikellis body lift but never done body lifts it will have to be a shop that will do that for me. The koni and uca I can install myself.
7 months in. Which do you prefer?
Konis for sure, but either one has its benefits
What wheel spacers u used
Spidertrax
Did you use the 82 or 90 series Koni’s?
We used Koni 82's on this
What size tire were you running with this down size
chad had 33x10.5x17s at the time. he's currently running 255/80/17 tires now
Would titan swap allow bigger tire then 33s?
We have a titan swap 2nd gen that currently has 34s on there and did require trimming of sheet metal.
@@AlldogsOffroadCoop thank u for the reply!!
Did you go with stock UCAs? How do you avoid CBC?
We went with our ADO High Clearance UCAs
www.alldogsoffroad.com/alldogs-offroad-high-clearance-upper-control-arms-for-05-nissan-frontier-xterra-pathfinder
Omg what's next?
Give California back to Mexico?
Well wait! Maybe its not a bad idea
