    Kool upgrades.
    I love skiers choice boats. I had a Moomba Mobius for 1,400 hrs and had pretty much zero problems. I was mostly wakeboarding back then. I sold it and bought a Axis with surf gate because we are surfing more and more now. The Axis kicks up a huge wake for surfing when you set it up correctly. Factory ballast is not set up correctly. I have had so many problems with this Malibu Axis, constant service issues with the dealer. I wish I had a skiers choice boat again. Great boat builder. 🚤 🏄🏼‍♀️

    Great mods to do.👍. I would add a check valve just after your overflow fitting. It will make sure your bags fully drain like a shriveled prune. I added them to my Max when I added overflow venting to the Wakemakers kit. Game changer for filling and draining.

    I really enjoyed the kind of rapid fire upgrades concept at the beginning of the vid, but it slowed wayyyy down second half. I feel like the ballast portion could’ve been it’s own vid. But still thank you for all the info. Good stuff.

    Great video! I think the WakeMakers products are about as good as it gets. Think about how much improvement you got and how little it cost! Better than factory. Excellent value. I think Moomba should use your content to help their sales 😁
    Luckily I own an Ri245 and it makes a massive wave with just the factory p&p bags.

    nice video man. just FYI the rear bags you pictured in your video are not completely full. they are a pain to get vented but my wakemakers in my makai almost touch the fiberglass edges. they used to look like yours but I ended up filling them with my leaf blower and wrestling around with them to get them to finish expanding. now to figure out why mine are draining down.

    I have a 2021 Makai and was thinking about doing the ballast upgrade. Looking at the WM bag upgrade in your video when you had it full, it appears you could still put the storage bin back in. Is that the case? By the way you need to get on the Moomba Forum. You would fit right in there! I did a light modification to my tower light as well, but used a little softpush switch out of a chep solar LED light and drilled it into the end of the white lens cover. That was actually my first modification.

    • @GreaseMonkeyTV
      @GreaseMonkeyTV  2 роки тому

      I’m on that forum actually. BrentC5Z. The bins are little too deep to fit. However, I may cut them down just a couple inches to keep them useable. Unsure at this point because without them, I can store my boards on top of the bags while they are empty/ not at the lake.

    • @ChaseLandMgmt

      I wish the MB had a more updated dash/gauges but I do think they have one of the better surf waves out of the box from what I’ve seen on the lake.

    So, it appeared you didn’t need to make the sensor adjustments you talked about. Is that correct?

    • @GreaseMonkeyTV
      @GreaseMonkeyTV  2 роки тому

      The bag sensors need to be moved. They tell the pumps to shut of so you have to cycle the switches otherwise until full.

      @@GreaseMonkeyTV I made the mistake of rushing buying a boat. Bought a 2020 Craz. I haven’t surf it yet, but I think I’ll be able to dial it in pretty well. But I think it’s going to be a little small. So now I’m trying to figure out a way to sell it and move up to a Makai. I talk to a dealer about trade and they wanna give me about 20,000 less on trade than what it’s worth retail. Sometimes I make dumb decisions. But I’m sure we’ll have a good time on it. If it sells, I may be reaching out for some details.

  • @josephfleming6384

    Awesome boat. I have a Makai on order from the same dealership! Two questions for you....1st. how long did it take to get the wakemaker bags in? 2nd. Was the better push you had with the bags installed before you moved sensors or had you already moved the sensors to get the most out of the bags??

    • @GreaseMonkeyTV
      @GreaseMonkeyTV  2 роки тому

      Bags arrived in just a few days. They shipped from TN. Moving the sensor doesn’t help anything except getting the larger bags full. Will be installing vents on top of the new bags next.

    • @josephfleming6384
      @josephfleming6384 2 роки тому

      @@GreaseMonkeyTV So they will fill up close to full without a sensor move...but moving them will insure that they are completely full.......is that what you're saying?

    Can't help but notice you're riding goofy foot. Is it harder to make a goofy wave than a regular wave (on the other side)?

    • @GreaseMonkeyTV
      @GreaseMonkeyTV  2 роки тому

      For sure! You must be listed more for goofy foot to overcome the prop rotation. The larger bags help because you can just run less in the port side yet still have push.

    Should've bought a supra! No need for all the upgrades. Biggest issue I found with moomba is there is a massive difference between bag ballast and subfloor ballast. 4 thousand pounds of sub floor ballast on my supra is night and day different from my 2022 moomba.

    • @GreaseMonkeyTV
      @GreaseMonkeyTV  Рік тому

      I would guess that’s due to the boat being much heavier. Saved $100K vs the 24.5’ Supra so don’t mind making some adjustments.
