I have had three other air fryers The instant is best moderately priced fryer… the best of any I have used! The rubber thingy are a disappointment.. It's recommended in the manuals to swap the trays when it's time to flip the food.
that helps it cook evenly as the heat from the previous top tray will go upwards, and help them brown better all around.
convection is usually better all-around because it continuously circles hot air around the entire cavity and keeping temp control while air fryers only produce heat from the top like a broiler system.

YES EXACTLY, Getting double the amount of items and no reaching down inside the basket. Air circulates better because the racks have more airspace between

The vortex plus on air fry mode tells you to rotate the food during the cycle. It even says it happens in the Manuel. I got my mom the vortex for Mother’s Day and it’s been great so far, I made chicken wings with the rotisserie basket and they were so good

I bought the Instant Vortex Plus Oven because I want to use it to bake. I could never figure out a good way bake items in my basket type of air fryer. I use the rotating basket to cook my chicken breast and they come out great. I do the same with cooking french fries.

I have the rotisserie oven and have made tons of veggies in and out of the basket. I love my veggies well done adds more flavour I think. I've rotated 3 chickens, fries and never been disappointed. Last week I couldn't get my rod to rotate I'm hoping I did something wrong or my chicken was to heavy? I settled for just baking it on the rod which was still delicious.

I’ve told people for so long, practically since the countertop air fryer oven models came out, that they’re just not worth the money because of the reasons you showed in your video. Even though you get more room you get less than desired results on that second layer and you might as well just get a countertop convection oven which can do more. The only saving grace about the instant pot oven is that it comes with the rotisserie basket, so wings might cook a little bit better because they’re constantly being rotated. But that’s really about it...especially with the fact that it has a 400° max Your videos are very helpful and detailed for people on the fence about what to get of all products. Thanks again for a great instructional and unboxing

If you were to pick between the cosori air fryer, and the intant vortex air fryer which would you pick.??? I own the ninja max pressure cooker and love it, but it has its pros and cons. Cons being i have odd angle baking pans that dont fit it but do in my cosori. I only got my cosori yesterday and now ive used it im not sure.
The ninja makes the best toast. But im not 100% sure with the cosori which then made me think to try out the instant vortex. But i dont need or want 3 air fryers. The intant looks more simple to use as well. So im confused. Com 🤔 helppppp!!! I live in the u.k and the intant vortex 6qt is available but the mini intant oven is not available in the uk.

I don’t have either but I’ve had a basket type (which broke after 4 months) and an air fryer oven (power xl afo 6 qt). I have to switch the trays around and it’s really annoying. I bought it for the rotisserie (which I have used 3x in two years). The door handle broke off, they wouldn’t replace it or sell me a new door and it still works but I have to use a fork to get the door open. I am not that happy with the Browning. I think the Mealthy CrispLid browns better (I’ve done side-by-side cooking tests).

I got the Instant Vortex Air Fyer oven. The first time I used it I ran it for 40 minutes at 360 without any food but with the three trays inside it. When it was done, I removed the trays and washed it with detergent and water. Then I put the rotisserie in for ten minutes, took it out and washed it. While I was doing that, I placed a pyrex bowl with lemon and water. I cooked in it immediately after and the food was great. Odor removed! The odor is coming from the manufacturer's oils to protect the coat of the oven and the accessories that come with it.

Why does my Instant Vortex air fryer keep increasing temperature on it's own? I am trying to make jerky treats for my dog. I set on bake at 180 for 1 hour. And after 20 minutes or so. I hear a beep and the temp. rises to 400. This has ruined many treats. What is going on???

I just happened upon this review, I bought my Instant Vortex Plus Oven on Black Friday, 2022. I have several things I agree with you about this model.
First, what appealed to me about this was the window! I do love that feature, which was my main decision as to why I chose this model. I agree with you about the dual shelves and the cooking results - disappointing. The top shelf does cook better and faster, but the 2nd bottom shelf leaves a lot to desire! You need to swap the shelves out OR at the end, put the bottom shelf up to the top position to finish crisping whatever you are cooking, ad the result can be dried-out foods, bummer! Also, getting a chicken in the cage for a rotisserie can be "challenging! Wow! Better have a small chicken! It can also dry out quickly as well if you don't babysit it.
My #1 complaint about the Instant "brand" itself is the non-stick covering for both their air fryers and their Instant Pots! The accessories made by the company, both air fryers and the Instant Pots, the accessories that come with the devices and the ones you can purchase in addition still by the same Instant brand itself, the non-stick coatings ALL rub off way too EASILY!
The company either needs to either not use the coating OR use a better quality coating that will not rub off and yes, it does easily rub off even using a sponge to wash it with. The company does go 'cheaply' with the non-stick materials they use for any of the appliances they make, at least that is my experience with purchasing and using their products.
I do not want to ingest the coating! You cannot cover the trays of the air fryer or you block the airflow. I've tried using aluminum foil and poking ALL the holes in it, but that does not work very well. Small bread loaf accessories for the Instant pot, or the shelf for the inside, and the spring cheesecake pan, ALL their coatings are scratched and are coming off.
With the popularity and supposed high quality this brand has become, this company has really disappointed me in this area. I DO feel it is a harmful health concern we should not be having to deal with over the life of these appliances/accessories. From my experience alone, it is pushing me towards a better brand that may cost a little more, but I know their product does not have this issue, I know this due to friends who have a different brand and have no troubles with the coatings used.
Next air fryer I get I will go back to and purchase the basket type due to inequal cooking in a dual shelf and as you said, it takes more time. I will not be purchasing the Instant brand. Disappointing.
I should point out here that the liner for the instant pots is stainless steel, thankfully! They did go correctly in that aspect, as well as the basket they provide, or was that accessory available for purchase separately, I cannot remember now?
I do love the instant pot, oh yes! I cannot cook without it now!
I am still going to purchase a regular 'oil' deep fryer in addition to the air fryer. I find some foods just get too dried out with the air fryers and would taste much better deep-fried instead with more fat in them. Air fryers can often dry foods out too much no matter how carefully you cook them, in my opinion.
Getting a little off-topic here, but in my opinion, the creation of air fryers does seem to go along with the government food guidelines and the appeal to some people of lessening the number of fats in our diets when we know it's not the fats that cause harm! It's the seed oils! Just a funny little fact, one well-known company that makes deep fryers, in their instructions, does state not to deep fry in animal fats, ha, ha! From everything I've read, there is nothing wrong with using lard, tallow, or duck fats! In fact, it is said animal fats are proven not to go rancid as quickly as the seed oils do, lol! Oh, anyway, that will also become an addition to my kitchen regardless of the air fryers!

Never carried for the ovens reason air fryers are 1 level. One reviewer said it goes into preheat by default?. Its the physics of cooking, air fryer blows hot air directly onto food in confined space, convection oven blows hot air around whole cavity of oven gently passing over the food. You need a wire basket in convection oven so air passes 360 around food to get air fryer effect

Pulling out trays crumbs falling.... I just put a pan on the door so nothing falls down. Plus if I need to take something out before others it's right there.
you are getting double amount 2 trays vs 1 basket. sticking my hand down in the basket vs pulling out trays to load or flip.
I cook daily just for me in the vortex more than IP...but even freezer prepping food is a breeze ready for air fryer quick meal..
easy peasy breast strips oiled then oats grind up with seasoning coated then frozen single sheet freezer then bagged pull out place on rack no preheat 400 F 20 minutes. $2.00 lb Walmart breasts homemade vs. premade with more ingredients....I buy 3 packs of breast and on the day I buy, I separate cut and leave some whole. while I am preparing for the freezer I have my oat breaded strips cooking ready for my lunch or dinner while I whip out freezer meals. I grind my oats and store plain and seasoned, I have oil already preseasoned with seasonings sitting in bottles for daily use.
I (63YO) come home at 7pm from work pull out my frozen chicken either plain or beaded, using the seasoned oil for the plain, and use the solid bottom pan & coat the chicken on it and 400F top shelf 15 min no preheat, flip and check for done ....preheat if your preparing for faster. The oat coated strips already are oiled pre-frozen cook top trays with holes ...add some frozen veggies, below the oven floor with solid pan and seasoned oil or micro or instant pot or really on the stove add my seasoned oil and I have dinner ready 30 minutes and my pans already washed to sit down and eat.OOH and don't get me started with pre-cooked potatoes in micro or oven keep them in the fridge or whip them up while you are doing prepping then cut them into disk or wedges SEASONED OIL and top-shelf basket tray such crispy potatoes and fluffy inside. I do the whole meal meat pot and veggies at once then potatoes go on the top shelf to finish crisping while I plate and wash my other few items.
YES I LOVE MY VORTEX PLUS :)

I had the Votex Plus but returned it.
I was mainly interested in doing the whole chicken.
I was unable to find chicken 4 pounds or less.
It seemed to cook other things ok but I’m not big on that kind of food.

"handle breaks all the time on the bucket style." Surprisingly low quality from this a very highly regarded Brand in a brutally competitive market as absolutely perfectly said here.

Oven is terrible, thanks for sharing. I will buy a Philip's stainless one.

With the noisy beeping and non-stick coatings, I am so turned off by these appliances.

FYI when the Vortex tells you to rotate or turn your food, move the bottom rack to the top and top to the bottom. I hope that helps 😀
