Hi. I think it's brilliant. Thanks to your first "leak video" I found out about it and thanks to you I was smashing that refresh button like crazy on the 23rd April when campaign started. I managed to get Early Bird package and it would not be possible without you. Probably I wouldn't even know if that existed so THANKS A BUNCH GUYS. Cannot wait till September....
That looks really exciting! Would love to try this out with DCS World and Assetto Corsa Competizione (on Bathurst specifically for some big elevation changes)
It's looking amazing so far. I've wanted a motion sim for YEARS and was ready to pull the trigger on the Yaw 1 until I saw your video a few months ago. Just like Hanys above I was F5ing like a lunatic and managed to get myself a Super Early Bird pledge then added the Pro versions of the Yaw 2 and Yaw Platform plus the seat later on. I too would have missed out on this if it wasn't for your earlier video so thanks a lot! :oD
I have a pro on order from the Kickstarter launch (pro w/ chair and pro platform). Backer pricing came to like $2400+ with shipping to Los Angeles. A little worried about the mystery taxes but can’t wait to use it with Star Wars Squadrons 🙌🏽
What I really want to know is, how high was the seat part from the ground? I would also like to see how high it is from the ground without the yaw platform. I wonder if the forward pitch range changes when you are lower to the ground. Some footage of you playing without the yaw platform, getting into and out of the chair.
This looks really compelling... They seem to have done a great job with it. Personally I would get it because it can also double as a work environment. I often want to lean back, with my feet up, and work at my desk... But this is not really possible with most desk setups. So this ability to do so with the Yaw makes for a very interesting proposition as not just a gaming chair, but also a work setup.
That is actually a great excuse for buying it. I might use it as well, but I am not sure it will pass through the bs control department of my mind 😂. It will be tricky.
Was the movement loud? Asking because I live in an apartment, top floor, and I do want to be courteous to those below me, I don't want them to have to deal with a bunch of banging everytime I make a left turn 🙃 (Nascar joke, get it? No? Okay lol)
That's an awful lot of moving parts. What happens when the inevitable happens and all or some of the parts start to break down? How will it get repaired? What are the repair policies and methods for a malfunctioning unit going to be?
this is what I got as a reply from Yaw VR regarding warranty posted on comments section- "I can confirm that we provide 1 year part replacement warranty, that means if anything breaks, we will send you a free replacement part and video instructions on how to replace it. This solution worked perfectly for Yaw1. Unfortunately, there were quite a few cases of damage due to shipping (we expect far fewer with Yaw2) and in all cases our customers received replacement parts or a complete new device."
9:40 They might be heavy for the Yaw, but they are not heavy as wheels go. About 5.5kg for wheel & pedals? Compare that to the Fanatec DD base (14kg), a wheel rim starting at 2kg and 8kg for the V3 pedals... 24kg is 4x the weight. And that's without an H-pattern shifter or hand brake. 😊
@@Leynad778 multi purpose, so some simulated motion for racing is OK. But yeah, for racing you want jolts and "rear traction loss" mostly, pitch and heave secondary, roll and yaw third.

Amazing. I'm going to get one some day! I'm just curious about the 360 yaw rotation with the additional base. Do you really need that axis of rotation for driving & flying sims? I notice Cas is only using the 2DOF system anyway.

it shook like that because she landed it and run it on a railway track. If you drive on a railway track, of course it will shake terribly unless you're driving a train.
Okay but how do you mount combat flight sticks to this? I don’t like having them so high up so it would be cool to see and mount between the legs or by the arm rests

I have always wanted the Yaw but after reading review about the slipping of the wheels and the constant calibration needed I skipped it. since that problem is solved I couldn't find any other reason not to buy this one now. Surely they need some USB powered hubs or extenders that handle the cable management via the base otherwise yeah that could be a real problem....
Literally would be my dream set up to have this if I had the room or the excess cash to spend and I could see people opening up VR arcades with stuff like this for people to try out
So super cool! Looking forward to the day I can afford one.... and have the extra space to put it. 😂 It's expensive, but honestly, that price doesn't seem unreasonable for what you get.
nice 1st impression girls...thankyou sooo much...as backer 51 im convinced more that i made right decision i will ask though.....as I'm a flight simmer... do you feel the need for a buttkicker ? is the built in vibration enough ?
I still wish my Kickstarter pledge would have went through, but sadly I was too slow for all early birds and can't afford the regular price. Hopefully there will be discounts in the future so I don't have to wait another 5-10 years to get the chance to own such a product
you do realise that even if you don’t get the early bird price the Kickstarter prices are at least 30% off the regular price after Kickstarter right? so no, you won’t get any chance to buy it lower than the Kickstarter price when Kickstarter ends.
@@DeepSleepRelax I know, but that doesn't change that I don't have the money for the standard Kickstarter price. Just let me dream about a big discount in the next 5 years :( even if it's extremely unrealistic
I definitely would love to see if you can use the YAW 2 in No Man's Sky with VR. I'm really tempted to purchase one of these in the future, they look fun to use in games.
Thanks for this very informative video. I already backed to get a pro version with 3dof. I first went for the normal version until i realized it would be problematic to do more than 360° with hotas or wheels connected to the PC. Not to mention the power cable...
I would like to see a video with a real life pilot who knows how to fly the plane without slip in the turns, using the pedals. And to fly it a 360 turn with 60 degrees of banking. And make a roll and a loop, to see how the chair react. Best would be in MSFS2020 and with a not to fast aeroplane, a Cessna 150 would be nice.
This is so.. perfect for any flight simulator. It looks like made for it. I know you can play driving simulation but I think it is just too perfect for flight simulator. For perfect driving experience you can pay 3x $$$ for other solution.. only if you want perfect one.... but for flight sim this is the best. you don't need to waste more $$ for that. Next time.. please try Star wars type X-wing simulator. it would be great for that too.
Great preview! It's a bit ironic that the base version Yaw 2 ... doesn't have yaw motion ... x-D Nice use of the 2nd screen on that Asus laptop though!
Thank you for your efforts in putting this video together. Good job!! I'm very interested in supporting this simulator project on Kickstarter. Have you experienced any other sim (next level / DOF reality etc.) and if so how does it compare. I know it's not going to be at a 5k level dedicated racing simulator level. But, I'm curious what you miss in-game immersion. Everyone says it would be great for a flight simulator. As long as it is halfway decent for racing it may be a good all-in-one. Please Cas since you tried it tell me the truth not what I want to hear. lol
This could be double use as a zero-g workstation. Have it tilted back and save my tall back from hurting. Have your monitor on a large gas piston arm from the ceiling. I like products that serve multiple functions so this looks promising.
Wouldn’t even spend 50$ on this thing. Have seen dozens of these in the years. None was worth my time my money or even the space required. This one too.
This may already be the case but I hope in the future that all games that are Motion Sim friendly begin to output true force telemetry so that products like this will be able to handle the forces applied to the player correctly. Cruising in an airplane turning left should tilt the chair left to simulate the drag of gravity downwards but when driving a fast race car and heading into a left turn the chair should be tilted right to simulate centripetal forces pushing the player to the right for the force to feel real and give a true sens of speed. Its all about force. Not direction. Games may already be doing this but a system like this needs this to be comfortable. If not you well get hit by serious vertigo very quickly.
Thanks for the review. I am waiting for someone to release an affordable home 6DOF Stewart Platform, one device that will include everything any simmer needs short of a treadmill.
For the review I'd be interested in what are the practical limitations for unrestricted 360 degree experience? Obviously you'd need wireless headset, or for semi-360, overhead cable pulley system, but what about the simulator peripherals? Are they connected wirelessly to the PC though the integrated ports? Or do they restrict 360 degree spin?
So, their first one WOULD have been great, if it wasn't so difficult getting it to ever work as a consumer. I feel we're going to have the same issue with this new one...
Paying 3000$ for a product called YawVR2, without beeing able to Yaw, is just laughable. Yaw movement will cost you 900 $ EXTRA! Im,ho, not the smartest marketing-decision.
Haven't found the full review yet. but get a Moza R21 wheel base and wheel of your choice. They got a few choices. I have the G923, the Moza is heavier (30lbs!) and be careful installing the wheel base, never mind a toe, could lose the whole foot dropping that wheel base on it! I speak from experience and a close call. Better to chip the tile!
So worth waiting for! Best Yaw2 Video content yet. Need Moooaaarrrr to keep me sane till September when we early backers hopefully receive our units. Thanks for this fantastic report about your experience with the Yaw2 Prototype Cas!! Subbed.
Ok... you feel the G forces when the thing tilts to any side (Pitch and Roll, as you said). What does the rotation do ? I have a motion sim rig and I feel no need to rotate the chair on its axis, so I am glad that it is optional. Looking at the video it seems that it is there just to give a "shake" sensation. Could you explain to me the sensation you get when the chair rotates without tilting to any side ? I'm really curious about it.
For flight simulators, having a yaw axis would be very helpful, as you can feel when the aircraft is yawing to one side or the other, versus rolling. If you're trying to keep your turns coordinated, this is essential.
That's showing off, I already talked about the Oculus Quest 2 issue on my channel but they won't understand it since it's in Spanish, in my Argentine country it's impossible to have an expensive VR, but Nelson succeeded, except me. I'm suffering a lot for stupidity if i sucide, remember me like a solider
idk, the marketing doesn't really feel like it's talking to _me_ somehow, who is this sim motion platfrom really for? I've just upgraded my gaming rig, GPU, and HMD so this should be right up my ally, but I'm just not feeling it for some reason. Prob hold off parting with my money just for for now.
Pitch Back and Yaw look ok but Pitch Forward and Roll look almost non-existent. Shoulda stuck with the lower center of gravity to allow for more scope for movement without the danger of toppling. The main problem with the first version was none of these things though - it was the software. The centrifugal feedback on all axes was backwards, creating a feeling of reversed inertia, which totally killed immersion - looking at the video of you playing shows that hasn't changed. Without realistic centrifugal feedback, you might as well save yourself 1000 space credits, sit on a sofa, and lean.
Mmmm, $800!!! to ship to Canada 🤔..that’s a third of the price of the entire unit, almost $3k Canadian, to your door, it will be well into the $4K range G29 is a light wheel and pedals…would like to see it with a Fanatec base and pedals? I actually watched another vid with the FFB in action and the pedal base had a lot of movement…so if you’re anyone who does any sort of SiM racing…this will be a problem, especially for those of us who use anything with a loadcell…forget about it.
The 'basic' version using mostly plastic parts is pointless. Plastic everywhere is the last thing you want in a motion rig. After six months you'll be putting up with nonstop creaking and serious buyer's remorse. The pro-version where they're claiming to forgo the plastics for aluminium is reaching the price point where you could just pick up a more established and higher quality platform like an NLR v3. Why would someone serious enough to be building a motion rig go with either of these?
What do you think about the Yaw 2? Drop it below! And let me know your questions or what you want me to test for the full review. I'll take it into account 👌

I have always wanted the Yaw but after reading review about the slipping of the wheels and the constant calibration needed I skipped it. since that problem is solved I couldn't find any other reason not to buy this one now. Thanks to your video I just backed this project. Hope it will make it so that I can play with this later on :). First kickstarter project I ever backed .
Did you receive yours already if you did what do you think of it
@@bobzealand5692 I didn’t receive it yet and I expect it to take a few months more. They are starting the shipping now but production is not up to speed yet
@@lampie1973 ok I’m thinking about ordering one I do hope they are working on the heave that they showed in their earlier videos looks like it’s gonna be a great sim
so if you have your PC VR Headset on and Hotas, wheels, pedals etc attached and they are of course all USB cabled peripherals how does that work with the Yaw motion? Surely they need some USB powered hubs or extenders that handle the cable management via the base otherwise yeah that could be a real problem....
My question exactly.

yes so good i cant wait to recive my Yaw 2 pro with 360 rotation :)
now we just need full 100% tracking with extremely sensitive haptic, wind simulation and smell simulation, or we can just do a sao with pain
wind can be done with a fan, synchronised to whatever trigger it.
Smell, you don't want it, really. Especially horror fans, just don't... xD
@@renookami4651 but... immersion
lets get married and stuff
Literally would be my dream set up to have this if I had the room or the excess cash to spend and I could see people opening up VR arcades with stuff like this for people to try out
More reasons to never leave my house! Yes! Haha great video!
So super cool! Looking forward to the day I can afford one.... and have the extra space to put it. 😂
It's expensive, but honestly, that price doesn't seem unreasonable for what you get.
Can this be used without vr and just a monitor?
nice 1st impression girls...thankyou sooo much...as backer 51 im convinced more that i made right decision
i will ask though.....as I'm a flight simmer... do you feel the need for a buttkicker ? is the built in vibration enough ?
This thing looks absolutely incredible!!! I need one!!! 😂
Hey how does it synchronized to a private video? can i control the movements live with external operator person?
I definitely would love to see if you can use the YAW 2 in No Man's Sky with VR. I'm really tempted to purchase one of these in the future, they look fun to use in games.
為看先猜五千鎂起跳 市售一萬鎂 87%準確 因為我就是做這行的 HEHE
I didn't even know equipment like this existed. It looks great.
Huh. Stuff like this has been out for 20 plus years

Thanks for this very informative video. I already backed to get a pro version with 3dof. I first went for the normal version until i realized it would be problematic to do more than 360° with hotas or wheels connected to the PC. Not to mention the power cable...
Will it work with PS4/5 PSVR?
cant I just order this pro devise ?
Need one of these! Btw - does Chary get motion sick? Never see her testing this stuff! Cheers.
Hungry has badass people 😎
I would like to see a video with a real life pilot who knows how to fly the plane without slip in the turns, using the pedals.
They’re not going to tell you how loud the machine is
Voodoode UA-cam review on the yaw2 said on his comments that he didn’t notice the sound and confirmed it will not bother your neighbours.
quien viene de un poco de todo?
Great preview!
It's a bit ironic that the base version Yaw 2 ... doesn't have yaw motion ... x-D
Nice use of the 2nd screen on that Asus laptop though!
Please Cas since you tried it tell me the truth not what I want to hear. lol
This thing right here Santa! 😇
This could be double use as a zero-g workstation. Have it tilted back and save my tall back from hurting. Have your monitor on a large gas piston arm from the ceiling. I like products that serve multiple functions so this looks promising.
Wow for only 2000 dollars!?? That’s probably one of the most worthwhile investments when it comes to this kind of stuff! Great video!!
This is so so cool ! I really wanna try one 😁
She's talking about that @ 4:38 . The pro version will have a build in USB Hub for peripherals
So, their first one WOULD have been great, if it wasn't so difficult getting it to ever work as a consumer. I feel we're going to have the same issue with this new one...
The Yaw 2 really seems interesting, tho, I really need to ask, Does it bring 4 portable chargers for 120hz?
Paying 3000$ for a product called YawVR2, without beeing able to Yaw, is just laughable.
Yaw movement will cost you 900 $ EXTRA!
Im,ho, not the smartest marketing-decision.
Haven't found the full review yet. but get a Moza R21 wheel base and wheel of your choice. They got a few choices. I have the G923, the Moza is heavier (30lbs!) and be careful installing the wheel base, never mind a toe, could lose the whole foot dropping that wheel base on it! I speak from experience and a close call. Better to chip the tile!
AND the thing is absolutely silent ! Cause not a single word about something that obvious with motion platforms !
So worth waiting for! Best Yaw2 Video content yet. Need Moooaaarrrr to keep me sane till September when we early backers hopefully receive our units. Thanks for this fantastic report about your experience with the Yaw2 Prototype Cas!! Subbed.
Inaccurate, unnecessary Yaw amount, nothing more than a children's toy. I doubt the roller wheels will last long.
Brilliant detailed hands on review! Really enjoyed watching the video 🙌🏾 I'm definitely going to purchase one.
Having one of those would feel like owning my own Animus. Shame they take up so much space :p
Ok... you feel the G forces when the thing tilts to any side (Pitch and Roll, as you said).
Nice Video. And very equipment. Will it support DCS ( Digital Combat Simulator)? I would definitly free up some space at my home❤❤❤.
DOF Reality rigs are WAY WAY cheaper than Yaw2. They don't look as cool though.
Looking at the kickstarter, up thru $4,000.00 you still don't get the seat? $2,300.00 final price? On what planet?
*me getting in the yaw 2*
Oh wow this is great!
*hops in game with all my gear*
OH THIS IS AMAZING
*has to use the bathroom*
I'M TRAPPED
That's showing off, I already talked about the Oculus Quest 2 issue on my channel but they won't understand it since it's in Spanish, in my Argentine country it's impossible to have an expensive VR, but Nelson succeeded, except me. I'm suffering a lot for stupidity
if i sucide, remember me like a solider
idk, the marketing doesn't really feel like it's talking to _me_ somehow, who is this sim motion platfrom really for?
Mmmm, $800!!! to ship to Canada 🤔..that’s a third of the price of the entire unit, almost $3k Canadian, to your door, it will be well into the $4K range
G29 is a light wheel and pedals…would like to see it with a Fanatec base and pedals?
Why would someone serious enough to be building a motion rig go with either of these?
expensive trash, spent about 12K on my PC, and about 1600$ on my monitors, i refuse to spend this much on a stupid seat
Wow 360 degrees in one second, that's actually kind of scary! Seems really cool, though!
