Well this is fascinating. I'm a year in to having shoulder pain, no injury, nothing showing up on x-ray, non-dominant arm, PT hasn't shown amazing results, probably due to my lack of follow through with exercises if I am honest. The gp, orthopedist, and PT all say I have great range of motion. But no one has ever mentioned hypermobility. I came across JHS when looking in to some of my other chronic pain, and feel like things are starting to make sense. Now to take the info to my care team and hope for some answers and improvements.
I had no idea that all people who are hypermobile are right handed! I wonder why? I didnt even know i was hypermobile until a few years ago as i had dumbly thought everyone's elbow bended backwards?
I cant even do press ups cause of this hypermobility in my shoulders, I can touch the floor with my palms, knee bends slightly backward, elbows ok, thumb nearly touches forearm, finger dont go back too much, my ball and socket joint, the arm bit does dislocate and hang down, how the heck do \I strenghten this, just stabilisation exercises?
Pullups are more difficult more me than I think they should be because of my hypermobility in my shoulders. It feels like before I pullup I always have to put my shoulders back in socket then pullup, go back down and fall back into both my shoulders being out of socket

I guess I'm a rare specimen cause I'm left handed/ambidextrous and hypermobile XD
@@yumyumlolly Also left handed here. But the hypermobile arm is my right. I guess I got it luckier then most, but still annoying from time to time.

Does the inferior joint capsule appear saggy in an MRI?
