James Taylor another many awards winner of the 70s. Story teller in song. 2 great songs. James Taylor - Fire and Rain" got to #2 in 1970 and "You've Got a Friend" 1971 a Carol King song on her album the same year, but James version went to #1 as a single. If you can react to James Taylor?
Carly looks GOOD here, and sounds great. Looks like she's having a great time... which is sort of a minor miracle: She, like many people (and for a lot of them it WORKS), took up singing to help with a stutter. She is also a naturally shy, introverted person. And has a pretty major case of STAGEFRIGHT.
Thanks again Jake for reacting to this live performance from 1979 at the No Nukes concert. Yes, Carly and James were a (married) couple for almost a decade though they rarely performed together on stage. James and Carly both emerged in the early 70s as singer songwriters. When they married they were considered Rock n Roll Royalty, Carly never wanted to be more successful than her husband. She took a backseat to his career and focused on raising their family while she put out a record album every year, she wouldn't tour. Sadly James had a longtime heroin addiction which finally led to their breakup in 1980. Please react to her breakthrough song from 1971, "That's The Way I've Always Heard It Should Be". This was before she married James, but as she says, it's a weird song about marriage.
Try reacting to a current band - but very old school and bluesy - The Teskey Brothers - 'Pain and Misery' is a great one to start - official video is great - And react to Cold Chisel - great band - legends in Australia as big as AC/DC who are also Australian and they followed same time line. You will get all the Aussie followers come over to your chanel
James and Carly were married. James Taylor is a fantastic song writer and guitar player as well.

My favorite James Taylor is Sweet Baby James. He mostly does ballads but every once in a while rocks one.
They were rock & roll royalty - married
James Tylor and Natalie Cole (daughter of Nat King Cole) are great together singing "Baby It's Cold Outside."
I love this performance. What a fun song, too!! p.s. They were married.
Two awesome performers!
I have the original vinyl of this. So much fun 💃❤️
