It's cool and all and but why not just machine a sprocket and screw it on the end of the roller? Seems like a lot of extra work. Or just machine the roller.
I needed the sharp corners down so the EDM process flips the tool radius to the top side of the finish part. I couldn't get an off the shelf sprocket to match my radius either. Also, the shaft was sort of hard and the small spindly endmill was used. Graphite cuts super fast and easy. so it was faster than machining another part and screwing it onto the steel shaft. thanks for watching
I’ve turned the color of Kermit - watching this while fiddling with my HEIZ S720 router is inspirational and depressing at the same time . All the best with what to me looks like an awesome piece of equipment 👍
Thanks again, I always look forward to what you share with us in your videos! I sure enjoyed the EDM work, I've never yet run one of those.
thanks for watching!
That's a whopper of a took change arm!
Graphite, yes it is realy fast and easy to edit, but the dust is a problem.
Yes, it can be messy. I got a heppa wood dust fliter for the shop to help. Thanks for watching
I was just curious, what model of EDM machine do you use?
What is the roller setup going to be used for?
it is used to pull fabric where a hole punch op happens. Thanks for watching
That is entirely too much effort and too many machines used in too particular of a sequence to make a little roller
True, but I replace the word “effort” with play and “machines” with toys. Then its not so bad
