I laughed way too hard at 26:58. Love the videos! There is not enough mold making / injection molding content on the internet.

Oh my ! Didn't know such things could happen to an alluminium mold ! Quite impressive, but i do think the clamping of the injection unit might be too strong (because i already used alluminium mold for high quantity of parts on a 160T hydraulic, the clamping of the injection unit was manual, so i could set it myself to low clamp and i never encountered the same problem you're facing in this video. I'm now using electric presses like you do with your 200T (Haitian if i'm not mistaken), and the clamping being automated goes directly to full clamp (But it is only a theory, i did not try to verify this particular point about the automatic clamp on electric). Hope there's a way to set to lower clamp your injection unit !

No, I actually found the problem after watching the whole video. At 37:15 , I see that the injection goes far in the mold to shorten as much as possible the sprue, but the thickness is way too thin between the nozzle and the cavity part in my opinion to counter the clamping of the injection unit for long term usage.

to make it easier to set the position why not mount the dti by the dove tail on top of it so the dial sit horizontally?
