Visiting the Gullfoss Waterfall in Iceland (Golden Circle attraction)

In July 2023, during my month long trip in Iceland, I visited some of the most popular attractions in Iceland, including the Gullfoss Fall.
This is one of the main attractions on the Golden Circle route.
Note that this was filmed in July, the warmest month in Iceland, and I couldn't spend more than 10 minutes next to the waterfall.
But the views were gorgeous.
Here are some fun facts about the waterfall:
Double Cascade: Gullfoss is a stunning two-tiered waterfall, cascading down a total of 32 meters in two stages. The sight of the water plunging into the deep gorge is both powerful and mesmerizing.
"Golden Falls": The name Gullfoss translates to "Golden Falls." On a sunny day, the mist from the waterfall can catch the sunlight, creating rainbows and giving the falls a golden hue, adding to its enchanting beauty.
Hvítá River: Gullfoss is located on the Hvítá River, which means "White River." The glacial water of Hvítá originates from the Langjökull glacier, contributing to the pure and pristine nature of the falls.
Environmental Preservation: In the early 20th century, Gullfoss was at risk of being used for hydroelectric power. However, the daughter of the farmer who owned the land, Sigríður Tómasdóttir, fought tirelessly to preserve the waterfall. Her efforts were successful, and Gullfoss was later designated as a nature reserve.
Accessible Viewing Platforms: Gullfoss provides well-maintained viewing platforms that allow visitors to experience the waterfall from different angles. The proximity to the cascading water creates a thrilling and immersive experience.
Part of the Golden Circle: Gullfoss is a key attraction on the Golden Circle route, making it a must-visit destination for those exploring the wonders of Iceland. Its accessibility from Reykjavik makes it a popular day trip.
Dynamic Weather: The weather conditions around Gullfoss can change rapidly. Visitors might witness the falls in different atmospheres, from clear sunny skies to dramatic cloud cover, adding a dynamic element to the viewing experience.
