We usually always regret buying what we do. because something better is always there to remind us that had we spent a little more, this is how much better it'd be.
Had mine since January... no issue with it at all. I love it. I am 6'5" tall and fit in it great. I beat the hell out of my Elite pedals and I don't recognize any issue with the brake flex... seems people are a bit nit-picky. My concern is upgrading to a direct drive wheel. I am not sure it could handle it without some tweaking. Sitting in the F1 position you just feel comfortable, there is a zero-G kind of vibe to it like on good adjustable beds (I have one, I know)... I can play for hours and hours and have no fatigue in the seat.
I'm in Africa so it impossible for me to get this beauty even if i have the money. It's very frustrating. You have the money to get it but you can't. So enjoy guys your sims and don't complain too much. One love
I wanted to try this out because i loved racing all my life.. i dont regret it. I ended up getting a amazing set up second hand for cheap. Tgt2/loadcell pedals/ tha8 shifter /sf1000 wheel and next level racing track rig. This cost me 1k cad and i love it and even mt buddy who has a 12k rig actually was blown away how good it felt. If you want plug and play and enjoyable and something you feel u can compete with , look into this set up. Now i know 1k might be too much for some people but comparable to how people jump into 3-4-5-6 k for a set up this is amazing value. Hope this helps .
Guess it is all about expectations and personal demands. Some people even complain about noticing a tiny bit of cogging in their dd wheelbases when turned off while I am completely hapy with my gear-driven Logitech G920
People who complain about cogging while a DD base is powered off don't really understand why that happens only while it's off. In short: magnetism. When the base is on, this effect disappears because the electromagnets cancel that out.
I just bought it and I love it only complaint is my legs rest against the side rails and it hurts after long sessions so I bought roll bar padding and put it on the side rails and up rails that hold the wheel plate and it’s now perfect! Oh and the newer models have support bars for the wheel plate and they also come with support brackets for the pedal plate! Very very sturdy now as they listened to the customer complaints !
Had mine since March this year right before quarantine, and quite honestly I do believe your initial video for the FGT persuaded me to purchase it. With that said, the FGT has been wonderful in F1 and GT positions. I use a Logitech G29/PS4 and it works great. The seating is great for endurance races as I race in a league. But, I do use the lumbar as thigh support for long stints in GT position. I’ve got the butt kicker gamer 2 on the way, along with the true brake mod from AXM... we’ll see how those two items work with the rig once I get them installed. One more thing, I did purchase the monitor stand as well, using a 35” MSI curved screen and it works pretty good. All in all great rig and accessories, great reviews as well...keep em coming!
Absolutely no need for bolsters when there aren't any lateral G forces. Looks like it has about twice the padding of a real racecar seat too. I suspect people who find it uncomfortable might not be making the most of the adjustments provided.
This video answered all my questions about this cockpit I stuck between buying this and the omega gt titan. Just not sure which one to go for most important thing for me is flex.
@jason I’ve contacted NLR re the monitor mount and they are sending me updated / stronger outer arms. I tried so hard on the weekend with your hacks, and even used a $4 “pole” from K Mart that is 120cm long to support the outer arms, but the lack of adjustability makes it so hard to use... I’ll keep you updated re the new arms
Hey, thanks for the feedback, let me know how you go with them and I may contact them about this also but are they just stronger or will the arms new design fix some of the fitment issues?
Jason Storm I’m not to sure... I’m guessing they are just stronger arms (judging by the lack of response regarding adjustability). NLR jumped on it within hours, and no issue with free issuing the updated arms. But we shall see. I’ll report back.
I use mine with castors for flight simming; no regrets eh! The lumbar cushion is a nice bonus eh! I have only used in GT position for sim flying; as I have a Playseat Formula Red for F1 racing eh
I SURE DO! I've had this for years and years and as the time goes on I keep finding more and more downfalls and issues. For 500 it's okay but if you were to get one in 2024 get used and don't pay full because it isn't worth it anymore
What the idea height from the ground the television needs to be enjoy this racing sim. I’m planning on getting this and my current setup puts the base of my TV 12-13 inches off the ground
I agree with you, They have now come out with an additional bracing kit that comes standard with this cockpit that reduced flex in the pedal plate, I have the video linked in the description
GREAT video ,, i almost bought this seat ,, but im really looking for seat with totally NO flex on the pedals,,, you have a tip for me , what seat to buy ?? think im going for the GT TRACK seat !!! regards from amsterdam
The seat is fucking terrible!!!!! Completely flat, flexes like crazy, sticky cheap vinyl, the list goes on. I personally swapped out my seat for one from a Subaru WR-X. Night and day better. My brake peddle plate I put an “L” bracket to stop the flex. Now I absolutely love the rig.
Hi, getting comfortable in it can sometimes be a compromise, I’ve never been able to set it up in the exact position and angles I would like but everybody is different with what they like, this cockpit had 2 major issues, the pedal plate breaking and side to side movement of the wheel mount when you mount higher torque motors on there, they both seem to be rectified with now with additional braces that now come with it
In the instructions it shows you which slot in the frame to put the monitor mount, I didn’t put it in that one on purpose because that limits you to how close your monitors can come to the wheel I put it in the one closer to the wheel
Hello mate! Great video first of all! Secondly, I’m interested in buying this but have not a lot of space. What’s the minimum size of this seat in the formula position? Thank you!
@@dwightschrute782 it’s okay for a cheaper price point, depending on the country your in and the competitors rigs in that price range, in Australia I know there are some sim rig companies selling 8040 rigs at a similar price which I would buy over this now

It can take it.
Go watch Shaun Cole at the Simpit
He does a review and adds a DD wheel
Zero flex
@@nflisrigged1395 thanks!

I don't see why the flex in the pedal tray would be an issue, it doesn't exactly take a degree in engineering to figure out how to fix it
Easy fix for a handful bucks. Just fixed that a few days ago with dreaded rods.
So what do you recommend then? Asking for a friend lol
Bought it last week. It now comes with stabilizing bars for the pedals and wheel as options. I guess it didn’t used to come with the seat new in box?
I think its good got it for a year now still happy

Your flex test actually was too far outboard and in the wrong direction as the flex test should be from the direction that the brake pedal travels.
For me the pedal plate flex is a deal breaker...
Since this video they have now come out with additional bracing to fix pedal plate flex, I have updated the description with a link to my video on it
can confirm the newer version comes with additional bracing for the wheel mount and pedal plate and has absolutely NO flex whatsoever
