I've got a GT-Lite rig. Two, actually, as I have two simracing setups at two locations. I can attest to the quality of construction, the comfort, and ease of assembly, not to mention the utter rigidity. Using the large velcro storage strap to bunch it together gives a rock-solid feel. Fantastic value.
I’m lookin at getting this exact setup but with load cell pedals. But my big problem is that I don’t know how the size is. I have a really small space, so do you know the length of the gt-position and formula position because that’s what stopping me right now.
I got a crappy $80 racing mount to use with my G920 in 2021. While I loved it, since I could actually USE the G920. It flexes horribly and recently one of the support arms started to bend. After finding the F-GT Lite online and watching this video I decided to go for it. It has a pretty big footprint while it's in use but that wont be a problem since it'll fold up to be smaller than the mount I have now ever was! Thanks for this vid man, high quality stuff. 😁
The current version has sorted the shifter mount so that it slides in and out easily and also the seat doesn't have the mesh in the seat bottom any longer but still in the backrest. FYI received mine 4th Nov 22. The UA-cam clips of this cockpit don't do it justice at all. It looks like a flimsy folding sun lounge, however in reality it's surprisingly very sturdy high quality construction and quite large when set up. 👍
The f-gt lite is absolutely worth the money. The fact that it can fold up was a big selling point for me having limited space. I'd recommend this to anyone you'll have a blast.
@josephlauer8980 I haven't tried the dd pro myself but knowing how much torque it can put out my best guess is it would be a bit too strong for this and would be better off on something like the F-GT rig and up for rigidity
This just came yesterday, Those of you that put the Logitech shifter on the right, you have to take the 4 screws out of it so that it wont rub on the tighteners to keep the chair folded in current position, I keep it locked somewhere between GT and Formula like a happy medium between the two. Im playing a lot of Assetto Corsa atm, with a single screen, and a G920 Wheel, Pedal, Shift package, EVERYTHING out the door shipped to house and set up under 600. Next purchase for me will be Oculus Quest 2 so I can use the system, for both gaming stand alone with it and for my Sim racing. 5* though, the quality is great, its easy to set up, and it feels comfortable for long sits.
Racing is the primary reason I bought a Rift S. I started with a Logitec driving force GT on a wheelstand, then a G29 on a playseat challenge (folding chair like this one) and now have an aluminium extrusion cockpit with a Fanatec DD1 direct drive with F1 wheel and loadcell pedals. I genuinally think the playseat challenge seat is more portable and only takes me 25 seconds from folded, to ready to play. Also, the playseat folds upright, which makes it only about 18 inches depth when folded. It may be taller, but its so much more narrow. also i leave my fanatec peddals and my T300rs wheel attached permanently,so its unfold (25 seconds) then plug and play. No brainer.
the playseat is absolutely more portable than this, this tho gives you more flexibility when it comes to setup, my brother has the playseat and while I loved it I really struggled with the only position available :)
PlaySeat Challange only supports 1 position, in between F1 and GT. When you try to set it up in GT position the wheel is too close like nascar positon. F-GT Lite also has option for gearshift/brake mount, it's heavier and bit more strudy, it has less back and forth wobble of wheel (both are great for mainstream wheels like G29 and T300, but F-GT Lite is bit more sturdy). It also has better support for pedals with mounting system, while Challenge only has straps that dont work for wide wheels. F-GT-Lite is also wider has more space for wider people, also breathing mesh (so you don't get too warm). If you want to play in GT position and need to fold the setup with mainstream wheels/pedals get PSC. If you want F1 and GT position, want to use better pedals (in GT position) only need to fold sometimes, then F-GT Lite is better choice if difference in price is not that big.
This is actually pretty cool. Hey Tyriel how much did the whole thing set you back. The seat, the petals and steering wheel if added up. I never really did get into racing sims but this looks like a way to make me get into them if it feels true to the real thing. I just can't justify paying so much more than a few hundred dollars for a whole set up like this just for VR. Some of the reason I still feel the Index is a bit too high in price but if it's the last one people will get then it will be worth it but seems like people upgrade too often plus products have a limited life span under 2-4 years so it's hard to justify paying over $500 for anything that is just an accessory for PC gaming. That's all VR is really it's just an accessory. Nothing that is an accessory of the Playstation 4 or 5 should cost more than the console itself and same goes with a PC. I'm looking for a cockpit for a flat, I have not much space, looks like good. Is it compatible with a logitech G29, anyone knows ? 299 euros in Portugal, looks like fair
I'm not as heavy as you (190) but think this rig would suit you. Larger than the Playseat - which is a GOOD option (more portable, easy to pack away), and VERY stable. Have a look at the manufacturer's video. BTW, I have TWO of these units, owned them for a year, and am ecstatic. For most people the Playseat would be better in that it folds away much easier, but this unit is rock steady and able to fit a larger body.
I have T LCM load cell pedals will this work for that . ATM I have a stand alone basic metal wheel stand and it flexes a ton with my T300 . I really need a solid stand to feel all the ffb.
@@mrj3217 hi there. The set up as shown in their video will decrease the chance of any lift. I have it set up that way with my G29 pedals. I'm looking for a cockpit for a flat, I have not much space, looks like good. Is it compatible with a logitech G29, anyone knows ? 299 euros in Portugal, looks like fair
How well would it work for space sims such as elite dangerous?
Pretty good actually, being so low you can put everything on the ground and it will be completely reachable!
Unfortunately, it's not in stock anywhere :(
Can we have more videos about sim racing
How wobbly it the steering , and I weight 280. .
Admit that they are not load cell, but I have experimented with really banging the pedal down to see if they will move Nada.
BUT u will have to follow their video instructions
Rest of rig(s) are rock solid.
Be sure to use the transportation strap that holds the whole thing together in the box when shipped to you: you strap one end to the wheel base bar, other end to seat base.
Tighten the Velcro as tight as you can BEFORE u sit in it, then it's as rigid as Hell. NO flex.
what game is that
Does this work for ps5 ???
but why you play with oculus quest ? you have the best vr head set
when I use my laptop for VR I always use the quest, the single cable connection is awesome, when in my VR room I mostly use index and pimax :)
Go motion or go home...D.O.F reality or build your own
Bro spent a 3 grand on VR headsets but 249 on a sim? The quest 2 would have done the same job as a VR headset
It's F-GT "light" not "leet"!
Is it scratchy? I like to race in socks. Only.
leeet version lol
FIRST
GT! what do you use?
Tyriel Wood Logitech G920 attached to my desk and my GT racing seat. We should race bro?
@@GAMERTAGVR of course GT! whenever you want really!
this rig is just a piece pf crap, yeah you can fold it or set it in many positions, but the wobbling and movements when you drive is so bad.
Just a load of bollocks. I own two. Rock solid, you idiot.
