@@Dev56189 first thing is to believe you can do it. Next is buy the basic products cause products can get expensive. Try lowes, Home Depot and Walmart, advance auto parts etc. watch a lot of UA-cam videos and ask questions.
How do you justify what to charge when starting I don’t have a car or truck with the tank and all that yet it’s a start like raw rough start ❤ and I am all about work and I got good products just don’t want to undertake myself or my cost for products can you please advise a young

Charge well but at least clean the inside of the wheels . That's how the cars get break dust on them making you need to clay bar more often .

I feel like this dude still didn’t know his prices 🤣 I thinks it’s weird you don’t clean barrels on all packages. How can you clean something but then leave it dirty at the same time?
To give him credit, im sure some want a hand wash and only care of things they can see. If you look at a car, most wont really bend down and see the inside of the barrel and im sure some would want to save money by just having him clean the face if the wheel. Likewise, if you go thru a car wash, the machine dont clean the inside if the barrel either and most people don’t really care.

I just got quoted $700 for a full detail. Black Hyundai Elantra 2014. I do have a lot of water spots that are baked in and have been there for years. Can someone tell me if that’s too much? I live in the Napa Valley.
Look into who is going to be providing you the service!
However , make sure you know what you will be receiving and matches what you’re looking for . assuming the detailer is qualified in anyway . A good detail will definitely add more value to your car then the 700!
I don’t understand how detailers wipe down the door panels and use the same towel to wipe the windows. There are certain things you can do to set yourself apart. I will never not clean the barrels on wheels. It literally takes 3 mins extra. If money is an issue just add $5 bucks more to the lowest package.
@Chris Camez he just said he doesn’t clean the barrels on the the lowest detail. It takes my 30 seconds to run the ez detail brush threw the barrels bro 🤣
@Chris Camez lol ok calm down dude… it’s called educating the customer. You can’t get a great clean on the barrels unless the wheels come off anyways. I still run the ez detail brush threw it and never had any issues. 🤷🏽… watch the video about the windows. Clear as day.

I just got an estimate for a full detail and was quoted $700. Can someone tell if if that over the top? It just seems like a lot. I do have a car with baked in water spots that are years old. I live in the Bay Area California.

@Chris Camez correct barrels are hard to clean if the car hasn't seen a good cleaning. Plus, some customers are very picky and it can take longer. Time is money so he will be loosing money.

Too many packages, losing money, confusion with customers. Do what Joel detailing does, just 1 packages, all outside and inside for $299, add ons are extra. Keep grinding man but all these little same packages is way too much to read and remember, as a customer. Keep it simple
lol doesn’t mean he’s loosing money, but he should make a website it would be easier for people to look at
There’s customers who will ask for just a quick whip down and vacuum and a basic wash if you only have 1 price for just inside and outside customers are not willing to pay 299 for something they don’t need people like basic packages but also website makes it easy for clients to see your different types of packages
@@adrian22556 lol watch Joel’s video about that. As a detailer, there’s no such thing as a quick wipe down. They hire you to do a professional job, not basic drive thru car wash. Quick wipe down is not a thing, as a detailer, you don’t know when to stop with that quick wipe down or if you’re doing too much. The client may not be happy because you missed a stain with that quick wipe down. What a quick wipe down for one client may expect can be different for another one . So yes, his packages are too confusing
@@Mr.Torres831 you got to factor all the overhead and the fact that if it's only one man you can usually only get 2-3 done a day and your capped out when your filled unless you add more workers

Finally someone honest sharing a realistic prices! This young man is going to go a long way handling his business! I just started my mobile detailing business and like he said you have in the beginning you have to keep it real until you establish your business don’t ripped off your customers if you show them some love they’ll show you love by tipping you a few extra bucks and they will return plus they’ll put the good word for you and the word of mouth is way better than FB,Google etc specifically in the beginning when you don’t have the resources to pay for advertising I started with a kit from chemical guys a bucket and some soap detailing my own , family and friends vehicles Later after saving every penny I bought a portable vacuum cleaner, pressure washer, foam cannon and a spray gun now I have a small apartment complex 12 customers plus my friends and relatives and for now that pretty good since I’m working alone don’t have a van I’m working out of my pickup truck 2015 Ford F-150 don’t have all the fancy expensive tools more like middle range but I’m using top of the line chemicals and products that help me achieve great results my customers or happy they show me their appreciation all the time I’m making more money than my previous job I’m having fun doing this job and the best of all I’m my own boss! I’m leaving the high prices and high paying customers to the pros the shop owners and the mobile hustlers who have more bills to pay then me I’m very thankful to each one of them that have shared their knowledge and experience with me and the rest of the community I wish them nothing but the best!
