By far my favorite collaboration!!!Black or white, young or old, rich or poor it’s amazing how cars bring us all together!!!we need more of this nowadays!!!
I've been following James and the Topclass team for a while and this kid has what it takes. I'm really happy to see you both supporting each other as that's what this is all about. Awesome content Pan and James!
I think a part of James story that sorta goes under looked is that he has a clear and detailed vision that he's believed in and stuck with. There's even almost a design framework with his business and it translates to him not having to second guess some decisions, and results in his brand being stronger and more recognizable.
Thanks Konsta! I like giving back to the detailing community and helping smaller channels and businesses to grow and gain exposure. If they are good people, are passionate and working hard, I want to support them. When I started on UA-cam, nobody was really helping smaller channels to grow. So it was my mission to make sure I do that if I was to be in a position where my channel grew enough where I could help others one day. :)
Great video Pan and props to the young man showing how ambition pays off! I see a lot of comments re: the ease of making this kind of money in Cali, but most commenting seem to forget two crucial elements…One, there are hundreds or thousands of detailers in Cali/LA, that he has to compete with, so if he’s making a dent in the business, he’s doing something right and definitely doing good work! Secondly, Cali like most of the west coast is dealing with record drought and he had the forethought to equip his vehicle with a water tank which is a more efficient use of a dwindling resource, so kudos to him. The drought situation is a real threat to detailing businesses on the west coast, so they have challenges other regions don’t have to consider. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side!
Exactly. Instead of saying "well I'll never make that kind of money" or finding excuses on why that would be impossible for you, one should look at creating a business plan, being passionate about what they're doing, working super hard, and build their business. Good points man!
This is amazing to watch such a young dude take the veritable bull by the horns and build himself a successful detailing business. You can't help but wish the best for him and also marvel at his will and dedication. Gives a 40+ year old like me hope to give the detailing trade a go. Cheers
I literally was watching his video when he was 19 at the time. Very inspirational. Right now I’m just trying to learn and build up my equipment One at a time before launching any business. So I’m just detailing friends and family cars. Great video Pan!

Great story. I've never started my own business like this young man but I've hired a few hundred young people for the businesses I worked for and ran and so many of them have been hard workers and have gone on to bigger, better things. I always advise to plan for an unexpected future. Get a retirement program in place as soon as possible and contribute until it hurts. Also, set an age goal to cover your minimum living expenses from your investments. Set another age goal to cover your complete income. Spend an hour or two a week just on investing and how markets work, dividends, capital gains, insurance, etc. Things might be going great but you just never know when life throws you a curve and having financial security is one huge thing not to worry about.
Nice of you to put him on your channel. I admire any hard working individual, especially young people. This young man is an inspiration to anyone looking to start a business. Cheers to the both of you 👍✌️☮️

Excellent job, James! Rock on! A well spoken young man and a great representative of the detail industry. Mobile detailing is a sun up to sun down job. It is a lot of hard work and hours. Hey @@PanTheOrganizer. I fell in love with detailing when I got my license at 16 and was given a white hand me down 82 corolla. Paint was oxidized since my sister never took care of it. So I went into Kragen Auto Parts (no longer in business) and got myself a can of the old school turtle wax paste. It took a lot of elbow grease, because as a high schooler with limited funds, it was all manual for me. The results...my mom was impressed as to how clean the car looked, as was I and my friends. From that point on, I always washed it until I got another car and continued with washing and waxing. I never got into the business end of it, since I went into the military and made a career out of it. It was during my military days that I decided to get into paint correction, claying, etc. Now retired for over 10 years and still enjoy detailing my vehicles. Your channel and DIY Detail are the only two I ever really stick around to watch all vids all the way through. Thanks for the channel.
Thanks for the kind words, and thank you for your service to your country! I have tremendous respect for the men and women of military, law enforcement, first responders, and anyone keeping our communities safe!

Thank you pan the organizer for showing this young talent man . Watching from Montreal Quebec Canada.I just wish their was a list of detailers in Montreal that I could be recommended too .
I have a lot of respect for this guy’s hustle and ambition. However, in the video, he did not claim to make 130k a year , as the title implies. But tells us he could make 100k + in a “good day/week/year” Also, even if he does make 130k a year, is it really worth it if you have to work 6/7 days a week to earn it? Still, Thanks Pan for giving this Gentlemen a spotlight on your channel. Great video!
I thought that too. Not only working 6/7 days a week but ridiculous hours. It's a very good way to burn yourself out. And of course. What's the point in working so hard if you don't enjoy life? By the sounds of it from what he said, he literally would not have time for friends or down time. Work to live, not live to work. Also on top. He may make 3-4k a week. But don't forget he's still gotta pay for fuel, employees, products, taxes. After all that it could easily be more like 2k for himself.
It would be interesting to know how much he pays his employees. There is a lot involved in running a business that eats into revenue. Is the $130000, profit in his pocket?
If he nets half of that, that’s $16 an hour. Calculation based on 80 hours a week, 48 weeks a year. My opinion, any job you have to work 80 hours a week is not worth it. What’s left over? Maybe while he’s young it’s fine but that doesn’t last that long 😭
@@chrisking6740 I was thinking that as well... When you see 130k a year it sounds good and all but then when he mentioned he at LA and works 80-90 hours a week... That's rough. And like mentioned 130k is just revenue not profit so who knows... I mean great for him being so young and having his own business and I hope he grows to work less and hire a team and make more so he can concentrate on building his business because he will get burnt out doing 80-90 hours in a few years to only make less than $30/hr.
For my detailing business i do it alone. I push for 2 full details a day at 4-5 hours a car and make 500-6 a day. 5 days a week ads only cost 500 -6 a month plus gas and chemicals are not expensive I dont work that hard
@@PanTheOrganizer I've been following you for a few years, especially when I first started. Your channel and knowledge was a huge help early on when very little content on detailing was available. Thank you Pan.

Got an Old soul kid. Mind for business and hard work! Good outlook and wise beyond your years. I see why you picked this kid Pan. Much respect to both of you! 👍👍💪💪🤙🤙!
We are watching a 20 year old making six figures, all through hard work. Regardless of how much hours he needs to put in (heck he just started detailing like 2 years ago, we need to give him a break!) he is making a living for himself and doing the right things to a path of success. I'm sure he will have many employees working for him in the future and eventually get to a point where he doesn't have to physically do detailing anymore. We need to show this guy some respect in my opinion. We're here to inspire a younger generation to work hard to achieve their dreams. Nobody becomes rich by sitting on their ass all day doing nothing, and working just 20 hours per week... I haven't seen that yet. Especially not at 20 years of age.
@@PanTheOrganizer Exactly, not many people are like James. I'm currently 16, I'm a part time detailer, I guess you could call it a side hustle, and if I was being honest, detailing is alot of work, but the work I do, pays off, currently I get paid $60 for a full detail which isn't much but I'm still learning. I have tons of respect for James and his work ethic.
So would essentially be at $65,000 per year working 5 days a week for 8 hours a day or working 80hrs at $130k per year. At 80hrs a week it might be time to start investing in a second van and some more hard working employees. Awesome job!! There is something so nice about seeing a car after a detail.
merci Pan pour cette promotion, c'est une preuve que le travail et la passion permettent d'y arriver, même si la région de LA est favorable à cette activité. Merci pour cette découverte et le sous titrage est de qualité. 👍👍👍👍
Wow, that van is to die for! Four cars a day in that heat….respect! Love the bottle holders on the doors, and the fact he uses distilled water - I guess that’s a must-have in the LA sun. Did I hear him right ….did he mention “tyre dressing gun”? Would have been interesting to hear him asked about his bottom line, i.e. how much profit he makes.
Love all your videos! Got into detailing a few months ago when the wife was begging me for a new car. Now that her black SUV is back to slick and sexy, she couldn't be happier. All because of your help! One question.... How do I restore the rubber window trim that's all spotted and moldy??

Most importantly, you need to have a market for this. No good setting up with dreams of this magnitude if you’re in a relatively low socioeconomic area where few people will want or be able to afford car detailing.
hard to make this kind on money when you live in a small town and everyone nowadays is looking for the cheapest services.. Good on this kid though he’s killin it and making the most of his marketing skills and definitely has that people person vibe 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Exactly...I was just gonna comment the same thing. You need to be in a metro area with high income clients. Mobile detailing is a little bit easier in those areas because you don't necessarily have to live in the ritzy area, you just need to be able to get there from a reasonable distance, and schedule clients preferably, not too far from each other so you're not wasting time and fuel driving from client to client.
This is all bs. You just needa find your market. I was able to do it in Tucson, AZ. Not only is the population small but it clears out when the summer hits , rather than getting busy. Also, you’re not gonna do it w/ sheer volume in washes. You have to do coatings and corrections. But everyone has their excuse
Great video Pan that show us the path of detailing success if really love this job.. congratulations for this guy who started from the button that is the right way!!!
Yes. Some people are great detailers, but aren't good business managers so their business struggles. Others are ok detailers (not the best) but really know the ins and outs of operating a successful business and they're making bank. I think the best blend is to have a passion for your craft, but also make sure you focus on learning the business aspect of things: how to operate a business and manage people working for you, manage your budget and finances, how to market yourself, etc.
So how much money did you put into it as a startup? A lot of guys started without a van( without water tank) and by using the customers water and electrical. I want to start in this business as a side hustle but, for now, I don’t have enough funds for a van setup. I have a pressure washer, dry/wet vacuum, multiple polishers and pads, a lot of chemicals…I’m just skeptical about how willing people are to use their water and electrical until I have enough funds to get a van. Anyway, I appreciate the video and the info

@@PanTheOrganizer Γεια σου φιλε Παντελη (hope you got it in Greek :) ). I discovered your channel through searching for best products for my cars, mainly looking for improvements etc. Then I was presented with the Awards 2021 video and it all started from there :) When i watched my first video, i said toi myself, this guy, Pan, could be Greek :) and then down the road I watched YOUR STORY and all became clear. I love what your are doing and how you do it. It takes passion and commitment. Definetly you love what you do and it shows. MAy i propose also that on the Awards 2022 you add, apart of the chemicals to detail a car, the best products when it comes to harware, say microfiber towels, pressure washers, pads, etc. etc. Give my Love to your beatiful Isabel , your brother George (Giorgos) and definetely to your little dog who is so cute and lovebale.
I agree with James. Do it because you love doing it. The money will come as long as you do good work. Word of mouth from customers will spread. I recently started social media. Don't know a lot about it yet, but hey at 68 years old I think I'm doing good. My satisfaction is my customers. Their smiles and the joy I get from their satisfaction makes it all worth it to me. As I said before on other posts, I make $60,000 part time. I work 6 days sometimes. It depends on my customers. Sometimes I get hit off schedule and I'm slammed. But that's not a regular accurance. Maybe 1 or 2 days out of the month I will have to do that. All my work is closed mostly from the public. I rarely take new clients. It's my choice. I don't want to do this full time. I have outside income monthly. I don't have to to this. I do it because I love it. Those of you that love a beautiful vehicle know this for yourselves. Do what you love to do. You will be successful at it. There is plenty of work out here, so no need to be jealous of another detailers in town. I have 6 in my small town and the number is growing. In 5 or 10 years I will be to old to continue doing this. Someone else will pick up my customers. My customers know this too. I'm just grateful they love my work.
$200 for a regular car wash is insanely high. In India, car wash costs ranges around 200 to 500rs ,that is $5-$10. And all uses a pH neutral shampoo. That is too much for a wash.
I litterally started with nothng, finacially atleast. Used to be a cardetailer in my twenties and had to quit due to a motoraccident. Few years back, about 20y after the accident, my new gf saw me detailing her car and actually convinced me to start over...so I did. Now 2 years later we have a start-up, still building up. All we had was some bulk-packages of shampoos, some claybars and a polishing machine..which were a left-overs from my old days. After about 3 months now, we have build up to a fully equipped bussiness. It's hard work, but truely worth it.
Amen best thing he said was get in business for the love of doing cars that's correct. Blessings from the Man above opens doors to more clients and friends and the money is incredible
He is from Cali, Cali people are different people he also looks like he is Hispanic. That in itself is a lot they are known to be hard workers. Sadly, here in Maryland, they don't know how to hustle they just want to have handouts. Tried to get an intern for our media company nope. Nothing, they are lazy here. It's dope to see a young person grind for what they want.
Wow. Different locations allow for charging clients different amounts. In central Kentucky, if I charged 199.00 for small cars, rather than having me detail it, they would just go get a new paint job for that 🤣. Good for him. This young man may be the next Pan
LOL That's not how that works. I have had guest appearances before with even bigger channels (like Larry from AMMO NYC who has 2 million subscribers) and that's not what makes a channel grow the fastest. The reason why I had James on my show is because I believe in giving back to the detailing community and helping smaller channels and businesses to grow, as I have done multiple times in the past (Miranda Detailing, White Details, FAB Automotive Detailing, RAD Garage, etc). I appreciate certain values like hard work ethics and a passion for the craft, and James displayed both of those. Also, I like to do for others what the bigger channels weren't doing for anyone when I first started on UA-cam. Nobody was doing collabs with other channels in the detailing world. So I promised myself to change that if my channel ever got to a position where it was big enough to help others.

I've been following James and the Topclass team for a while and this kid has what it takes. I'm really happy to see you both supporting each other as that's what this is all about. Awesome content Pan and James!
Thank you! :)
I think a part of James story that sorta goes under looked is that he has a clear and detailed vision that he's believed in and stuck with. There's even almost a design framework with his business and it translates to him not having to second guess some decisions, and results in his brand being stronger and more recognizable.
Good point. You need a plan, and work hard to achieve your goals and dreams.
Truly inspirational video Pan! It's so amazing to see you supporting the whole detailing community no matter big or small, absolutely loving it!

My 2 favourite detailing you tubers definitely happy with this
Thank you!
@@PanTheOrganizer Agreed

Thanks for sharing!

I have a lot of respect for this guy’s hustle and ambition. However, in the video, he did not claim to make 130k a year , as the title implies. But tells us he could make 100k + in a “good day/week/year”
Also, even if he does make 130k a year, is it really worth it if you have to work 6/7 days a week to earn it?
Sounds like gross profit, but even if he only nets half of that - he is his own BOSS ;)
If he nets half of that, that’s $16 an hour. Calculation based on 80 hours a week, 48 weeks a year. My opinion, any job you have to work 80 hours a week is not worth it. What’s left over? Maybe while he’s young it’s fine but that doesn’t last that long 😭
@@johnnyv5995 True and there is value in that.
Sweet interview! Very inspiring.

Great to see a young man working hard and with such ambition.
Absolutely
Already have been watching James it's crazy how he's 20 and making more money than most 30-40 year olds.
Hard work pays off. :)
😁👍🏻
Wow, that van is to die for! Four cars a day in that heat….respect! Love the bottle holders on the doors, and the fact he uses distilled water - I guess that’s a must-have in the LA sun. Did I hear him right ….did he mention “tyre dressing gun”? Would have been interesting to hear him asked about his bottom line, i.e. how much profit he makes.
Awesome content buddy. Inspirational..

Do it anyways screw the police
That same authoritative BS is coming to the USA.
Hi Gart. Are there already states in the US that are banning car washing outside?
I wanna see him make a video detailing his detailing van
Most importantly, you need to have a market for this. No good setting up with dreams of this magnitude if you’re in a relatively low socioeconomic area where few people will want or be able to afford car detailing.
hard to make this kind on money when you live in a small town and everyone nowadays is looking for the cheapest services.. Good on this kid though he’s killin it and making the most of his marketing skills and definitely has that people person vibe 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Good luck doing this in Canada with 7-8 month long winters lol

It's one thing to know your trade - It's another thing to know your business. You HAVE👈🏼 to know your costs and #'s. Good work my young brothah!
@@PanTheOrganizer amen Pan.

IRS is like oh really???? 😂
The most unexpected crossover on this channel!

congratulations for top class detailing
Thanks for watching!
Been watching him since day 1 💯 .
Cool!
What a great video. Lots of key info especially for the younger crowd.
Thanks!
$200 for a regular car wash is insanely high. In India, car wash costs ranges around 200 to 500rs ,that is $5-$10. And all uses a pH neutral shampoo.
That is too much for a wash.
That's because you guys are poor as fuck. As a business owner is just right no make your business grow slowly and have a decent life.
Pay attention to the area he services. Everything is expensive.
Not if they're willing to pay it...
That's India. Whole different country and economy
Don't let money influence you into anything you don't love to do!!
Wish him nothing but the best 👍🏼
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing your story! It’s nice to see people inspired and hard working!
Looking to hit a mil by bringing in James. I see you pan
That’s right broo cleannn 💯🔥🤙🏼 thinking Big!
Thanks for watching Rami! How did you discover my channel?
this guy has the hustle behind those eyes
Ca me détend ;)
bonne journée mon chum.
Exact!

I'm slowly collecting the equipment and chemicals. 1 piece of equipment for each paycheck.
