I have about 8-people, that I wash there cars regularly, two to three times monthly, and I make about 1400extra monthly, is not bad, but I’m trying to get more people, the people cars I wash, live in my neighborhood!!!
thanks again for the great video. i brought my gf n her 17 yr old to help me with my 3 fleet vehicles, work trucks with welders on the back. so i can teach her son more or less the principles n methods without worrying too much about messing anything up. what i did with my client after watching your vieos and listening to you is i cut the price in half as long as he agreed on a detail for all 3 every 2 weeks. building a maintenance base and still making money. i still make the 360, but its every month not every3 months or so. thanks again
but im still working on getting the time down, i avg'd 3 hours doing everything by hand but as i got my steamer, drill brushes, extractor i guess i overkilled using them all every single time every single place i can use them. but now im cutting a lot of that out, and i dont snowfoam every vehicle like i used to before my handwash but still do a good pre rinse.
Thanks fro another informative video Luke. Extremely relevant since your last encouraging contact. FYI I did one detail of my rehab clinician’s car and I’ve now booked another 4 clients each wanting multiple cars fully detailed and then maintained. All your advice is now going to be put into practice aa I build my reputation, but as this is my ‘retire to’ plan I’m at capacity in 2 weeks!!!! Crazy
Depending on how you guys operate one of the best things you can do is higher on an assistant. Once you two are in a groove youll more than double your efficiency's
in detailing work unless you hire someone on for equal share of the earning, good luck keeping people to stick around for min wage. aslo an assistant will most likely poach cheaper clients.
@@asadb1990 that's definitely something you should worry about. But I've found that if I pick up a couple of high school kids looking to make an extra thousand a month they tend to be loyal enough to keep the business running
How do you clean up the cement/driveway after a detail? I’m not even an amateur-I just love watching details and you are so good at education (I’m a teacher, so I notice those things). Keep up the great work!!!!
I heard you say it doesn't take a crazy amount of experience to detail a car. It seriously does not, watch some videos on the basics, and give it a shot! The only way to get really good at it is to start.
Great video but was hoping to see what all you do in the interior for a maintenance cleaning, that is where I struggle and take WAY too long. Quick question....that wheel well dressing you used is a interior dressing, seems like it wouldnt last long in the wheel wellsl. Is there a reason to not just use tire shine in the wheel wells? I've been trying to figure out something good yet very economical to use in the wheel wells to make them look nice. (The stuff you used in this video is no longer available)
Man, that looks fantastic, Luke! Great work! Just out of curiosity, what was in the aerosol can that you sprayed on the front and a few other places at the very end?
Another great video! Thank you Do you prefer the pressure washer to apply soap? I’ve seen a few detailers who moved away from that method to save time and product waste by using the traditional high end soap/bucket. Just curious about your thoughts
So brake dust build up is what can partially ruin the look of the barrel of the wheel. Even if it makes it look less uniform, isn’t it a lot more considerate to simply let the customer know and do your best to clean the wheel as best you can?
Now if I were to make over 18k in a year providing this kind of service, would I have to file taxes for it? Should I consider starting off as a sole proprietorship instead of just doing it as an unregistered freelance service?
Did you do only an exterior detail this time? Then, can I charge by time? If interior detail takes me less than an hour how can I estimate time by minutes? Greetings and great job.. as Always!! 🤝
Hi, I’m Mexican and I can’t get the subject on this video. I live in the valley of Texas and there are so many car wash that charge like $25 for wash and vacuum a car. Obviously, they are like 8 persons washing the car or truck
Before i started my small mobile detailing business. I would get the 8 guys for $35 on the car. Wasn’t unhappy with it. Still payed a few hundred for an interior and exterior detail and paid a few hundred for paint correction. Just offer a service thats worth the cost and people wont mind paying. I used to get a detail maybe like once a year and a wax 1-4 months appart and weekly $35 maintenance washes to have them basically remove pollen or road dirt drom rainfall
I purchased a 50ft pressure washer hose, I don't get a tangled mess anymore. I keep my pressure washer electric cord wrapped up and keep it stationary.
@@phillip9392 Same, mijes 35 ft i think but I rolled the cable up around my armand put it into the slot in the back with zip ties holding it all perfectly together with the plug hanging just below the handle.
@@phillip9392 Same I also got wheel rollers to help keep the hose from getting wedged under any tire. Having the extra hose length, keeping the power cord wrapped up secured in the slot on the back, having the pressure washer stationary and not in the way, also with the wheel rollers makes washing my vehicles a breeze.
Can you do a review about the chemical guys rinse free wash. I get a lot of my products from my local Walmart so I use a lot of chemical guys and meguiars
Dude, I have some questions about this detail? Were you clay baring the car? If so, why didn't you polish the car after clay baring? That's detailing 101. Why did you use TW Ceramic Spray Coating? That is not a stand alone product, should only be used with their line of TW Hybrid Solution products?
The cars paint was already in good condition. There looks to be no reason for a polish. You don't have to always polish after a clay bar if the paint doesn't need it. Wax, yes. He just used the ceramic protectant instead of a traditional wax. Looks good to me.
I want to start a detailing business, but don't have the means to do mobile. Is it still possible to be successful without doing mobile when starting out?
Love the content. I have a question that I'm sure someone has asked.(please forgive me) if there was one chemical company you would go to for everything, which would it be? Megs? Jax? CG? Nick's? Ammo? Adam's? (Strickly for convenience) thanks. I'm doing a bunch of back logging your vids. Thumbs up my dude!
Great information Luke. I noticed in your contact wash you ditched the regular MF looped wash mit. The one you used looks like the old chamois type or at least a MF towel. Is this your new ‘go to’ method? Please explain.
Just like any type of line of work. Some people are there for the money and do a half ass job, then there is others that actually care about their work and take their time and try to perfect it. I used to work at a detail shop and there is ALWAYS people who come and go because they are only there for the money but don't like the work.
With the client's vehicle being so close to the house, did they ask if you needed to use electrical outlits or did you use a generator? I use a generator in my mobile business and sometimes I'm doing washes where the neighbors live rather close to where I'm detailing and sometimes I feel like I'm being a bit loud with it.. Wasnt sure if there was any advice you could give me.
Hey man is there any way i can get some personal questions answered by you privatly? And thanks for the info! Im just starting out and setting prices is a little difficult

dang I never thought about using the drill brush on the tires, I'm gonna give that a shot.
I have 2 coats of the turtle wax ceramic spray, on my car, and one on my wife's, and after 4 months we still have hydrophobic beading.
I love that stuff
Maybe I need to check that out then.
Xavier how long did you wait between coats?
Turtle wax seal n shine is also quite amazing 6 months and still having effects of hydrophobic and protection
The turtle wax ceramic spray is AMAZING! I use it on my Black Explorer Sport and my Blue Civic Si and man it works wonders!
Try Gyeon wet coat and Koch chemie spray sealant, you won’t ever go back

P&S brake buster works good for rubber floor mats to
This was actually really helpful for me and therefore I thank you sir
What what chemical did you spray in the black trim in the back of the car
Came here for this too!
How do you do it so fast I did a 160 detail today it took me 4 hours how do I cut my time down to make more than $40 an hour
Man, that looks fantastic, Luke! Great work! Just out of curiosity, what was in the aerosol can that you sprayed on the front and a few other places at the very end?
it seems like it might have been an exterior chrome shine
Seems like the tires been protected with optimum tire coating
Thanks for the video. I was wondering if you can share what spray did you used at the end of the video on the grille?
How’s the ceramic spray work ? And is it effective ? And how much should I charge for a ceramic spray ?
I have tried those sprays and don't have the beading like dri wash n guard.
What did you spray on the front (aerosol can)?
Nice job, Luke! I’m loving your content.
What were you spraying at the end in the aerosol can?
Even though you rinse the cloth often, Does the regular microfiber drag dirt across the paint as you wash?
It does this guy is a clown
Great informative video as always mang!

Very nice job i very very like your videos. Brake buster is the BEST wheel cleaner for me.
I almost feel like you under charged. That's quite a bit of work you did on this car. Guy must have been stoked!
Loving this style of videos your putting out lately bro looks like others are also!
Really appreciate the details of your detailing business. I use for my own personal vehicle😊

Do you ever do a rinseless wash in your maintenance plans?
How on earth would the brake dust be corroded in on such a new Lexus.. Maybe use some Wheel Brightener instead..
What is the purpose to do the foam and rinse it and use a microfiber towel to wash it. I hope someone can answer my question. Thanks.
Was that your car that was parked in front getting all that over spray? Did you get over spray on the neighbors car parked on the other side
what was the last thing u sprayed?
So this was an only an exterior detail for $150 doing only the stuff you showed in the video?
Thank you so much for the knowledge starting my own detailing channel
Great video...keep em coming
You worked double you should of sprayed it down first then tires and rims then foam cannon and used a 2 bucket method while the studs where on the car
The car came out very nice Luke.
can you link an extension cord wheel roller you use and a good extension cord? thanks
What did he apply to the glass and did he use the clay bar to apply it? Why did he?
Normally would you useDegreaser and pressure washer for the bugs?
What was the product you for the tries shine ??

Don't charge for your time, charge according to the service you are providing.

YO LUKE, love your work. I need to meet you in person so we can do a disaster detail.
Whoa! what spray can dressing is that?
9:26
The con of wearing shorts during detailing, some of the spraying and rinses gets on your legs.
should wheel well dressing be an add on or come standard in packages?
Add on
I have that same pressure washer, but always end up in a tangeled mess 😂
I purchased a 50ft pressure washer hose, I don't get a tangled mess anymore. I keep my pressure washer electric cord wrapped up and keep it stationary.
Oh yea

What kind of pressure washer are you using ? Thanks
Looks amazing. Is that spray wax that you’re putting on the windows?
was the 150 for the exterior only?
What carpet cleaner do you prefer?
Does this maintenance detail include the inside ?
Here in Ecuador people sadly would call you crazy if you tried to charge more than $40 :(
What nozzle is on your pressure washer
I think we use the same foam cannon
Just wondering why the microfibre to wash the car?

what u spary in the end ? 17MIN in the video?

Doesn't have to be the line ups I mentioned
Joseph Vela Optimum... watch their videos, I’d recommend that line for simple convenient line and no BS products
Joseph Vela Luke uses ONR (or used to in previous videos) its great stuff
wolfgang bro
whats the ratio on break buster? 5:1 didn't work too well for me
I use 3:1
I'm a big fan of your enthusiasm and commitment to excellence
What power washer do you have?
Hes talked about it in other videos. I cant remember the model, but it's a sunjoe
0:59 The nurse prepping me for my colonoscopy
Why not clay bar the entire car? Or at least not the entire hood if your gonna put a ceramic spray on it?
You should only clay bar a car if you are going to polish it after. Think of clay bar like going to the emergency room.

Hmmm....must be where you are geographically. People around west Michigan don't want to pay more than 150 for a 6-8 hr complete interior
