How do you think putting Tasty Chance S will on average affect the overall strength of Snorlax when it subs out another helper?
I have been wondering that myself as well. Strangely enough, I have a decent Potato Cramorant and a decent shiny Oil Cramorant, who do put in work when I have to collect more potatoes and/or oil besides Victreebel and/or Toxicroak. In that line-up Cramorant triggers around twice a day at lv 1. However I like Dedenne more, because he reminds me of my pet hamster I use to own and he has a good skill nature with double speed.
I am planning to double down on Dedenne with main skill seed and experiment to insert him starting from saturday. Usely by then I have collected enough ingredients to create 3 first tier meals, but up until now I have only been able to get 1 Crit on sundays. I hope I can crank it up to at least 2 or 3 in the future.
it completely depends on what you are running. my max pot size is 45 atm with an average meal strength of 10k per cook. assuming i get a perfect level 50 dedenne with 5 skill seeds that an extra 10k a day on average + the berries/ingredients it's finding. a decent level 25 berry finder with favorite berries can easily outclass that and is a lot more predictable, so dedenne is just not worth it for me atm
2:50 bro has a full team of irl dedenne. maybe put it next to piggy's cooking and see if it crits

My permanent Dedenne gets 1-2 crits per day so it feels worth it to use, but always nice to see maths backing up the feels
When analyzing dedenne, how many triggers a day doesnt seem as important as *when* the triggers happen.
1 - earlier in the week, means on average that crit is worth more (there are up to 21 dishes the crit chance could apply itself to)
2 - the first proc after each time Extra Tasty happens has more value based on the table I showed

The dedenne at the start looks like he's been in the war.
He got completely green screened out
I'm one of the few who has a lvl6 dedenne at lvl50+. Did a few weeks consistant test now already and you get basically 47-62% crits on your meals, which means he practically gives you 1.5 crits a day more or less. That's all you need to know.
I think there's not enough context there. What about the losses in strength due to lack of a berry farmer or ingredient farmer to take that slot to run Dedenne?
If you crit 47-62%, but you crit a weak meal because you didnt farm enough ingredients, then is it still worth it?
I havent personally invested in L6 dedenne to get a practical feel for it. I'm only running a crit team to increase crit rate first thing monday to get the most value out of the crit.
I don't really agree with the math shown here...
To me looks if we take 0.1 chance of triggering by default and added 0.1 extra from the skill, the expected return is much stronger on long term average.
The first day you get 0.1 extra, thennext day there is 80% chance it didn't trigger, so that's 0.08 extra, then 80%*80% =64% it never triggered before so 0.064 extra, etc until end of week (supposing no special sunday for simplicity). Capping the sum at 10 meals for instance will give 43.3%, i.e. on average you get have 43.3% extra meal value.
So even with a lower meal of about 10k base value, that means 4330 extra for a single activation. The same formula with 20% from two direct skill activation give 64.8% extra, so the second skill activation only gives 21.5%, much less worth it...
It's been few months since I last analyzed this in depth so I can't recall the exact numbers I used. The explanation you provided seems to say "each day" but don't you mean "each meal"? How did you get 43% bonus without a simulation? The "4330" extra strength you had also incorporated the base crit rate of the dish? So it's 4330 minus the usual crit rate for actual output?
If you want an in-depth discussion please ping me on discord. Replying one message at a time for the most complex skill in the game (from a mathematical point of view which basically cannot be humanly calculated without a monte carlo simulation or at least a digital calculation) will lead nowhere.

1:21 this is not correct. It's 10% base rate for crit which is doubled on Sunday to 20%, making the total max 90%. You therefore have 0.1% chance of not getting extra tasty all three meals on Sunday if you have +70% from Tasty Chance before you cook breakfast
The 20% you see is on top of 10% base crit rate. The sunday base crit rate totals 30%.
24:52 the value of the Crit is 3x while the odds of extra tasty is 20% compared to 10% during week days
If you assume the base Crit rate on Sunday goes from 10% to 30%, then you would never see someone with 70% from Tasty Chance not Crit breakfast

Nice use of monte carlo simulations to determine the increase strength of a pokemon skill. Just need to get the right type of mathematician to cheat the answer.
I have a doubt about its ability, when I use it on a Sunday for the main dish on Monday and I also use glaceon flareon to increase the space, in the dish on Monday I only get the effects of the increase in space but the dedende as the probability critical does not come out, then I read that its ability says that the probability increases until it is achieved or if you change location does that mean that if someone changes islands the effect disappears? because I don't get critical and my dedennde is 94% :(
The ability's designed so you can't stack it when going to a new island on Mondays. Basically it resets every week. So you just have to pray your Dedenne procs a lot starting from Monday morning.

Time zone travel is a normal intended feature for when you travel. Besides that it could be considered gaining an advantage against intended gameplay, but you don't have to do it if you feel it's cheating.
