The game timeline was 2009-2010 and Jeff was gone by than, which is SVR 10 was his last Apperance until recently
The main reason i didn‘t play SvR 2011 was that Jeff Hardy wasn‘t in the game😂 I go for SvR 2010 even these days

They did this game right. Everything went downhill from WWE '12 - 2K14.
13 and 2K14 aren't bad, they aren't as good as this but they are in no ways bad.
***** How about not good enough? A game that came out in 2010 shouldn't be better than a game that came out in 2013. The gameplay is so fucked up in these games now. The commentary is horrible, just like the wrestling. The graphics have been at a stand still since WWE '12.

This is the game I still play to this day. Universe Mode seems to always surprise me with insane moments, cutscenes, cash-ins, and inopportune interferences at unpredictable times before, during, and after matches. It truly astounds me just how much replay value WWE SVR 2011 has compared to the newer installments. There isn’t a WWE game I cherish more.

This is my favorite WWe game so far with a few things I wished this game had:
-More WWE legends
-playable Managers like Hornswoggle & Paul Bearer
-more playable staff like Teddy Long,& Stephanie McMahon
-more weapon choices in Extreme Rules match
-a Buried Alive Match
-a Casket Match
-Special Referee
-Jeff Hardy&Chris Benoit
-a WWE HOF character thing like they did in the 2009 or was it 2010 ds version
-make it easier to get your character or wrestler you want to rank up or appear automatically in the MINB match
-have more room to CAW you really want
-feature custom music for your wrestlers/current Wrestlers
- have specific gory ECW and WCW title Matches
With all this being said, I would still give this game a 8.5/10 !

I honestly think every game between SvR 2008 and WWE 2K14, SVR 2011 had the best gameplay. It had elements of a new engine/system (which was pieces of WWE '12), and the SVR 2008/2010 (Like the Ultimate Control system which debuted in 2007). If you wanted to have 5 star matches with the Ai, the game was perfect for it.
I like to have realistic matches in these games so I use 2-6 controllers to have authentic matches, so this game was the perfect one for it. This game along with WWE '13 had to be the best WWE game for PS3 to date.
SvR 2011 is certainly the best

John Cena was my man, I remember not pinning the enemy just to get those signatures and attitude adjustments and using them on the enemy.
He's wrong about the grapple system, too. I pull off awesome moves, right off the bat. The backstage brawls don't take long, either. Normally a minute or two. I love it.
Making backstage brawls longer in this game is awesome
I remember hating making someone the tag champion because they would be stuck with this lame tag champ entrance which you can see here. 0:24

HCTP was the best, had everything. The wrestling and moves had weight, great controls, 4 grapple types with own subset of moves and great choice based-story mode and backstages. All I want and many others is a HCTP expanded and using todays tech. That simple.
Agreed, HTCP was the fucking best. After that they just got lazy and kept just doing the same thing over and over again, the graphics on PS2 are still pretty much the same, the gameplay is considerably worse and throwing off openents from the ring on the Royal rumble just got retarded and too hard. The only thing HTCP really lacked was the feel of the crowd and the commentators.

Last amazing wwe game with excellent gameplay , graphics, physics, music and fun I used to play this game on Xbox 360 so much I miss it now Idc I'm buying it again .
WWE Universe mode is so awesome. I actually end up playing as superstars I don't even care for just because of the random shit that happens during a match. You can choose to push certain stars, too. It's pretty cool. My biggest gripe--I bought the "Unlock Everything" dlc so I miss out on a lot of surprises that I would've seen otherwise. As usual, any superstar that isn't in the game can be downloaded (I have Goldberg, Lesnar, NWO, etc.).

The fact that this has more accurate wrestler models and have far less bugs really makes WWE2K20 a laughing stock. Shame on 2K's end.
This game in my opinion is up there with the best of them like here come the pain and 2008 it's just so good I hope they make the game backwards compatible for xbox one 🙌

The only thing I don't like about SvR 2011 is that you can't put titles on the line whenever you want to. You can only do that at PPVs when the system already has a championship match setup for the PPV.

i love how they barely changed the animations and feel since SVR 2007. They keep adding more content but they never seem to refurbish and improve the old things. It's still dodgy animations that don't make me feel like a wrestler

wwe 13 is one of the best wrestling games ive played in a long time waaaay better then 2010 which was the last i played...n plus the attitude era in wwe 13 is like a love letter to the fans who watched those awesome times and definatly pulls at my nostalga and heart strings
if the AI reversing bothers you so much, turn the reversal rate down in the settings..

i really like the game, the WWE Universe is a great game engine, the fact you can ram someone through a cage is brilliant as well as doing finishers off ladders, and that fact you can also do finishers off the top of the hell in a cell, the only thing i didn't like was the camera when you are free-roaming RTW, but it brought back elements of WWE gaming that haven't been seen since Here Comes the Pain!

This was my favorite wwe game after 2006 and here comes the pain I loved the weapon physics. My highlight reel is full of table crashes and other ridiculas stuff. Will upload it someday

damn, i just wish they kept the same controls from hctp!!! i love how they want to add more for the players to be able to do new things, but hctp was a perfect wrestling game. i got this game today and hopefully i can enjoy it without bein frustrated wit controls!
Still liked the control moves from HCTP and SVR2006 the best. For myself I typically 2 player the controls. Those two games I mentioned make it easy to switch back and fourth between controllers and work a great match. From SVR 2009 onward it's been a pain in the ass. You never can learn the moves and I always miss finisher opportunities

JHOT247 people have favourites based on different things, 15-17 have no story mode but universe mode is great! I prefer them because they look good and have the largest rosters! The older games have wrestlers who are now persona non grata today so people prefer them. I personally enjoyed the story modes but enjoyed the showcase mode just as much, so either wwe13, wwe 2k14 or this one. Hope this helps
I've had this 'gem' for a week and I won't me sad when I return it to Blockbuster on Monday. Before this, the last one I played was SvR 09 and the horrible ai is still a problem. I was watching a Cena vs Miz match, and after Miz gets a knock down, he goes for an elbow drop off the top rope, 1 min into the match!
Other times the ai just stands in the ring confused, really pisses me off. I don't know why they haven't added logic into this game like in Fire Pro Wrestling.

Sorry for this reply being a year late. Being a WWE fan for 9 years doesn't mean you are a hardcore wrestling fan. You are a 'wrestling' fan if you watch more than just one wrestling company. You are a 'wrestling' fan if you watch any match you can regardless of what company it is. If you just watch WWE, you aren't a wrestling fan, you are a WWE fan.

I think SvR 2010 is the best approach in the SvR series.The hardcore presentation is good.The atmosphere feels like wrestling unlike the newer games that uses "Show" style presentation.The roster in 2010 isn't the best one but is really interesting.The crowd is awesome.I like the new games but I think 2010 really made the wrestling genre present than what the others did.I mean older games are awesome but of course,people will like a dash of newer element to a video game so,2010!
I'm a 'real' wrestling fan and I fucking LOVE this game. this game is the reason I got into wrestling. I have been a wrestling/WWE fan (when I say wrestling fan, I mean not only WWE, I watch indies and backyard wrestling as well) for a year and a half and I know more about it than my friend who has watched it all his life. This game is amazing. I like it mostly because it introduced me to a fun series and very entertaining shows.

They NEED to remake Day of Reckoning with more features, match types, better graphics etc. Day of Reckoning gameplay is WAY more fun then SVR every was. Sucks that the game was so underrated. The developers care about making money more than giving the fans something awesome
SVR is probably the ONLY exception to sports games. In games like NBA, NHL, and ESPECIALLY NFL, the games always feel the same as the one before it with almost no changes in gameplay. But with SVR, they ALWAYS feel new
The physics system is really neat and so is the create a match and universe but God fuck just gives us the dynamic story mode back from Shut Your Mouth and Here Comes the Pain

one thing they should get rid of is how close the camera actually is on the wrestlers!
Yeah u can turn camera cuts off but u cant see half the moves properly cos the cameras are too close its not a boxing game just look at the difference between the first smackdown and the new one, the camera angle is way better on smackdown 1! Or maybe make a setting for it
