I’m stoked so far. I just think that there are some things ARB missed. Will record a video of set-up and breakdown next. I should have recorded and install video.
I NEED to know how you mounted the tent to the ARB BASE RACK. I have a FrontRunner Rtt and the base rack and had the toughest time putting the tent on. Am I missing something??
Thanks a lot for being the pioneer here. A lot of the things you mentioned that you are disappointed in, I would be as well -maybe even more so. I think overall your review has persuaded me to go with a higher end brand to avoid some of these design and MFG issues. Skykamper is expensive but has extensive and really good reviews. I'll have to think on it.
ahaha I saw his other video about the tent and he's ridiculous... XD he doesn't know how to use a zipper and he complains that the rain cover is badly engineered, he doesn't know how to roll the ladder cover and he cries about it being built wrong, then some BS about something touching his spoiler, while he clearly should have taken some measurements before installing it... Now he complains about the rods snapping because he doesn't know how to put the rod in the hole....
I'm uploading another video now. But it's not of set-up/breakdown. I will do that next for sure. Rig is having an aux battery installed so that is next as well.
I had to chat with ARB as none of the ARB Online Dealers knew what to do. I used the ARB Base Rack Narrow Bridge Plate, 1780420 The included hardware for the tent is generic - would not work with the BASE Rack.
Just went to the 4wp show. Ordered mine. For the price i think it's good deal. Wondering if you could give me the Width left-right between Esperance RTT mounting rails measurement?
27.5" outside of rail to outside of rail, 26.75" center of rail to center of rail. I'm also interested to hear if anyone sees any issues with water/moisture. Blowing up into the tent while driving, or sitting in the rubber seal around the base.
i got my tent few weeks ago, the water moisture condensation its pretty normal, but i live in california , its pretty dry here , only rains less then 20days a year.
Interesting. Thanks for posting this as I’m thinking of purchasing one

It's waterproof. And I read the directions. It will tell you what the strap is for
what about the mattress, I see that it's only 4cm thick, wondering how acceptable that is to sleep on for a number of nights?

Mate you have no idea how the tent operates. Goodness me. Have you even looked at other brands and now you are bagging a really good tent.
Was thinking the same

Thanks mate. Very informative video. Looking at getting one of these due to the size and weight. Do you have a video of it being set up / packed down?
