I have to say I AGREE with everything you said. His voice has only gotten better. He has certainly combined that with some damn good material and his homage to songs he grew up with or that have influenced him. The man has continued to do what he loves and his fan base has not wavered. I have seen him 2 times in the last 12 months. I made a trip to Nashville TN last June and watched him perform with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra which was Awesome, and just a month ago or so in Grand Rapids, MI. That show was a Stripped Down performance . I absolutely Love unplugged shows and stripped down performances. Ricks material lends itself very well to playing unplugged....
The man is ageless. Finally met him at the GR show and had him autograph a guitar to add to my other signature models.
