Don’t you just love a new planet to explore? I’m loving this game! It’s keeping me occupied while I wait for the hurricane to pass over . Happy to watch some new Surtr gameplay.
Great to see you back doing Planet Crafter, your previous videos have helped me so much. I did sort of give up at one point, but eventually managed to sort out my problems with finding stuff. I've just got to the plant stage, this planet looks fabulous. Tfs
I have been hanging to watch this series, but I only got my copy today, so now I've got a few hours under my belt, I feel safe to watch along lol. Bauxite was the hardest for me to find, but I got it!
Thanks for showing us around planet Humble, Surtr. Look forward to how the playthrough and story pans out. Credit to the devs for providing a new environment and change-ups to resource balance and mechanics. That freshens it up some :)
Picked up this DLC today, nice having a new map to explore and new game mechanic of the ore crusher. Did find some bauxite behind the drop pod to the left along the edge of the map but need to find more.
Wow! I didn't know this would be out so soon! I just bought it, but it has been one of those days, so I'm going to break into it tomorrow. I wouldn't have known without this vid, so thanks!
I am watching after I do. I am going to sweat this one out myself. It is fun to watch how you did it vs. how I did it. Water became my nemesis down the road. But I am close to the water from the atmosphere thing so that is making me happy. I have houses all over and put a food grower in most of them. That way I have emergency rations. Lots of fun here. I enjoy your videos. I just wonder if there are really any ships in this game or if the ore crushers and odd things to feed it with replace the actual ships. Have not gone that far yet. I am almost at rain.
great vid, was struggling to find ice for starters and will defo die as no water left... it's a step up in difficulty in some ways but also good as you need to keep exploring to progress
I played just about three hours this myself earlier this evening, and it was fantastic. I have yet to decide where I should build my base though, so still staying on the crash site. I had a bit of a trouble finding ice at first and might've died a time or two from thirst, because I didn't find any water from the chests either... Now I'm having real struggle finding any aluminium or bauxite to progress, so I have explore even more. I'm just about to reach the blue sky, so I'm continueing from that tomorrow.
Oh this is so much fun - it definitely seems a bit more challenging than the original and it’s great that the “common” resources are harder to get I was also panicking about water for a while until I reasoned that the ice would be in the cold areas (doh!) So looking forward to discovering all about Planet Humble!
I played to about he same stage that you are at, but on relaxed because I want to enjoy it. The thing is, I had lots of blueprint microchips but only ONE water! You have to hunt in all the round containers for them, but it seems I was super unlucky to find only one water bottle. And I only found that in a crate after I discovered the ice region... Thank you for this new series, and I can't wait to watch more.
@@surtrplays only thing, i believe, that is not random is the golden/green chest. green chest are in this DLC. also you prob have figured this out but the robots have chips aswell(u read the msg offline). just finished the other series of planet crafter
I do like Humble. It is definitely a harder map, you need to be very strategic with your bases and movement as ice is very isolated, unlike the normal planet.
Funny thing the DLC downloaded before I purchased it, LOL. I hunted a bit til I found the ice, and that base has some good stuff, I will have to go back and open that big green drone thing, I have a real small place by the landing site, haven't decided where to build yet. Man this is fun
Am I the only person who plays this who doesn't build storage for my minerals? I just leave them lying around, I have piles and stashes and caches everywhere and the only one that I've ever seen disappear is super alloy.
really like your videos, but the many small cuts you are doing can make it hard to watch in my opinion. Example 6:16 . Not sure what the reason is, but I think having less cuts like that will make the whole video feel alot smoother. Anyway, keep up the good content!
have you run across any fields of Aluminum yet? Everything i need now requires it and i cant find an area where it is just on the ground (or being able to mine it) yet. Have you located any?
Mate, there is a good way to get some aluminum. You need to go to the Sulfur plains, it is easy to find because of it's yellow smoke. When you would find it, you would need to go all the way through it, and then you would see huge caves covered in ice. To your left there is going to be a bit smaller cave entrance in a distance. Near the entrance you would find some boulders that you would need to explode. You can find some explovises around the map, and there is some on the top of that cave. My explanation may be messy, but I hope it will help. I may give you the cords if you want
You can also find some in the area where the bauxite is. At the start of the cave system I found a couple. So far (from what I've seen at least in very early game), crushing bauxite is the most reliable way.
@@surtrplays I've seen another content creator only get food and oxygen, so it does seem somewhat random. Maybe they should ensure that you always get at least one water, just so you don't have to panic immediately.
yeah, this is an annoying DLC, I feel like they somehow heard "We want another planet" and thought that meant we wanted them to change the mechanics of resources. Crusher? They are clunky and act like an interruption to the flow of extractors.
@@surtrplays Yeah, me and some friends are not understanding the purpose of them. What was the reason they are necessary and was it game related or a developer choice to account for some problem? We only spent about 4 hours in game today so will give it some time but for now, this doesn't feel like the prime planet and all the things we enjoyed about that. Just in case, for the first time ever, I looked up the refund policy and we have 14 days to decide.

I have only managed to find ice after exploring the Sulfur plains and then finding some iced caves😂 I am playing The Planet Crafter for 2 years😂
It is a bit more challenging than before, which is not a bad thing.

Honestly I can’t wait to play this DLC!!! I’m currently on holiday and I want to play this DLC right now lol!
Well try to enjoy the holiday anyway.
Great ep, Surtr! 😄
Thanks!
He's back! Looking forward to this series bro!
Me too! Thanks for coming.
Let’s Get Stuck The F in! Welcome back to Planet Crafter! Started this am myself
Heck yeah!

It sure does.

It is for sure and it is a nice challenge. It feels good not really knowing where to look for stuff, but there are always hints.
The DLC is awesome. Trying to find a good place to build a permanent base is a challenge though!
I'm probably going to do more playthroughs and get to know the map more before I finally commit to a favorite base location. For now, I have an idea.
@@surtrplays I found somewhere near a very large structure

Oh wow! Pretty cool. Enjoy.
Honestly, I started building my base near that big mountain as well. Because it looks so nice. I wanna climb it and build on top of it.
That will be interesting. Go for it.
Ooooh...I'm liking this.
Thanks.
Like 249 WOW. Way to go Surtr!!!!! Here for the 👀👀👀
Thank you 👍 I will pay you a visit very soon.
I started building in the same area but I was thinking it might be good to go cross and up because I have a funny feeling it will be under water

I do tend to try and keep things looking organized. There isn't a 'right' way to play, you be you.
Oh no is this the end of satisfactory content?? Surtr my man, I think I'm not alone in saying more satisfactory content would be amazing 😃
Satisfactory content is definitely not over. I will be doing a lot more. I just need to do this first.
Just started my new planet wow it’s hard finding iron and colbalt
It is tricky. The ore crusher is very handy.

I haven't. It looks like Bauxite is the only way to get Aluminum. I will be looking for it in the next episode.

This dlc seems a bit harder than Mars in the beginning
I think the hardcore part in this dlc is much harder than the hardcore part in Mars
I agree but maybe it is because I know the other map so well.
The starting items in the drop pod chest must be random. Mine had a Lirma seed and a bunch of food. No oxygen or water.
That is very strange. Were you playing on the Standard game mode?
@@surtrplaysYes.
@@surtrplays I've seen another content creator only get food and oxygen, so it does seem somewhat random. Maybe they should ensure that you always get at least one water, just so you don't have to panic immediately.
My first attempt, there was absolutely no ice in the starting area. Definitely random.
I'm playing intense mode, can't find any food in chests, got 4 space food at start and thats it 😭so I keep dying 💀
That sounds tough. I hope you manage to work it out.
Not that they will, but youtube really needs to fix whatever it is that is messing with your guy's playlist.
It is weird but thanks, I fixed it.

You will figure it out. The crushers actually increase the resources that you get. It's almost like having a bigger inventory in the early game.
