The editing on this video is really well done. Loved the cuts to your personal player board overlayed on the main board. Worked really well to help follow along!
Nice play through Tom! Thanks for showing off the game. Like I said on your other video, I look forward to seeing you try this out solo when you get a copy. :)
At approx. 36:47 while Tom is debating placing a bot on a branch from the experiment bonus or taking an investment, he would not have been able to. He has zero chemicals and his particular bonus requires you to pay the cost. However, at 37:12 he did place Marty's yellow bot on the Magenta spot w/o paying the cost (and Marty did not have a magenta chemical). You will notice on the Experiment there is no 'x' through a chemical Icon like you see on the government subsidies. :) He could have spent the green chemical he had though to play in the green spot.
Was the first Lacerda I have been interested in. I liked the concept and art but that board looks busier than a Tokyo train. This looks crunchier than a bag of crisps!
I'm not Tom, but I have played all of Vital's games, numerous times and for me I'd place it as follows - Lisboa>On Mars>Vinhos=Weather Machine. His other games are a bit interchangeable for me, although I'd say EP is my least favourite. My placement is based on not just complexity/Mechanics but also theme. This is why you do not see Kanban EV higher on my list. I think it's a great design but it does not really pull me in due to theme. 🙂
It's more of a first impression because I've played it a lot in the week I've had the prototype, but that's still only a week. I think it'd go Kanban/Gallerist/Weather Machine from the top right now - maybe fighting with Lisboa for its 3rd place :)
Very, VERY, well done! Great explanations with perfect pace and optimal close-ups for details.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!

Wow! Watching right now! Your video is so well done! It's easy to see small details on the board while you explain thoroughly each of your move!

There's a lot going on for sure :D it hopefully seems less busy when you break it down by sections
Oh wow. This game feels mind blowing
It's great skill you have to make a complex game like this understandable - you have done a great job thanks!
Thanks Fredz, glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Where would you rank Weather Machine amongst your favorite Lacerda games?
