I think you missed to take two free moves on any track when you built your two statues... An easy thing to forget. As is taking ideas when building farms.😅 Appreciate you making those playthroughs 👍
Still need to watch the rest of the video but as of the end of Act I, appears you forgot when getting research cards that you get to draw 2 from face down card stacks and choose 1 (placing unselected card at bottom of its stack). Might have helped with finding preferred cards.
Depends what your focus is, the cards between them use all the resources, you can go into trade which lets you buy and sell them, having many different gives you lots of diamonds which can be important for scoring, and the goals need them too
Gaia Project is heavier and probably a lot more strategic really, even though you can see the scoring in Civolution you’re not guaranteed of good ways to achieve some of them, there’s a bit more go with the flow with the cards you’ll end up with (although you’re choosing from a bigger pool yourself at the start). For pure fun factor I’m enjoying Civolution more than I enjoyed my run returning to Gaia Project this year (which I really enjoyed!)
I’d recommend the other playthrough I did, I’ve had a lot more fun every other time I’ve played 🙂 I think the production issues are sorted now too, it was just for Essen pickup the manufacturer had messed up the farms and settlements
@@slickerdrips Thanks for replying, I watched your other solo. Unfortunately, retail buyers are getting mixed language materials with no feedback from the publisher in the US. I can always buy the game next year when things are sorted out. Civolution was going to be my only 2024 title.
Delivering today and this will be fun with a full 4 player game I think. Although I do love Civ style games. Thanks for the play through.

So at 59:07 how did u get a reset while u still have 6 dice?
Was it from my calendar? Last turn of each age I get an action then a free reset regardless of the number of dice

I think that’s just when you do the research action, for the income bonus I was getting it’s just the top card of a face up or face down stack

After 6 plays nowhere near to beat him on easy lv.....sometimes he is really overpowered..but its a fantastic game.

I pre-ordered Civolution but am considering cancelling, This solo did not look fun and the production issues are worrisome.
