Great job Tom. Love your enthusiasm and insights on the design. I really enjoyed developing this game. Can’t wait to play the game in person. All my testing was done on Tabletopia during the heart of the pandemic. Cheers.
I look forward to you continuing your solo Lacerda Series Tom when you get your hands on a copy of Weather Machine once it ships. It's a shame that it was not available when the protos for reviewers were sent out. :)
Thanks for the amazing analysis Tom. Silly question and then you can block me :D where I can get some of those small trays boxes you use for the game tokens! Thanks!
Lacerda fan as well Tom! So i always love to get your take / watch you play them out. I'm pretty useless at learning them though! Wondering how long a pro like yourself takes to learn a Lacerda game? Like i'm still learning On Mars.. Yet to play a game (solo) that i'm satisfied i didn't fudge anything
On Mars took many many attempts, that’s an exception all by itself 😀 for this it took about an hour of the Gaming Rules playthrough, then setting it up by myself and just jumping in making pretty poor choices but making sure I had the steps down until the flow made sense. I don’t know how much better my choices got after a few more games 😀 there is definitely something about most of Vital’s games that just click for me though
I haven’t played it any other way so it may yet to be overshadowed by a higher player count - I’m sure it’s different, the professor will move more, spaces will fill up faster, experiments will be easier to gamble on, but like I say I had a much much better than ok time so I’d disagree with that assessment 🙂
@@slickerdrips thanks Tom…appreciate your reply. Fact is, if you only ever play at 2P you’re none the wiser as to the higher player counts. So if it works for you at 2P then so be it. Cheers
True, I can only have an idea of how it would play out at higher player counts based on playing it at 2 players but it's 2 players we're talking about, right? Works great at 2 :)
I have played it at all player counts. I was a tester who tested on this game on almost a weekly basis for 18+ months. My 'favourite" player counts for WM are 2P and 4P. For me it's a 'tighter' game at two and four. In 2P You have less research in the Lab and you have Lativ taking research when he moves to the Government or R&D as well as one spot at each location 'blocked' leaving just 2 spots. This can also lead to a tougher management of vouchers (if not playing the 2P variant where Lativ counts as a player) The tension and timing for running experiments is great. I think 3P is fine but for *me* it feels a bit more open. The solo variant is also very well done (bias, tested on it heavily).
You should have a much higher subscription count. In my opinion you are one of the, if not THE top reviewers on UA-cam. Cheers, Tom!
Thanks Jeremiah 😀

Thanks Paul, and for your work on the game!! I'm sad to see the prototype move on, really looking forward to playing in the future :)
Thanks Tom! Glad you enjoyed the game.
I absolutely LOVE this game, as well as the solo mode.

patreon link not linked in desc --thnx for vids!
Thanks Bill, I've never noticed it wasn't clickable!! Needed an http, fixed from now on :)
Hearing that the game is only ok at 2P. Is that a fair assessment?

@@ShelleyDanielle Thank you so much for that insight! Have you happened to have played solo? Very interested in hearing more on this subject.
This game looks amazing so far, I’m exited
