We make our meatballs exactly the way you do! The method was passed down for 4 generations! My kids and now my grandchildren are always hanging around the kitchen waiting for the fried meatballs. ☺️. So delicious! I just found your channel and LOVE your cooking!
Dear MaryJane. You just made me so happy. The little ones and big ones all love fried meatballs. Lol It’s so wonderful that you still make the same recipe. This was the idea behind my cooking channel. I hope to pass down the recipes to my daughters to continue with the traditions. Thank you so much for watching. God bless. Happy new year 🎆 🎊
Just watched this video. Reminds me of growing up with my best friend, whose Nonna was from Italy... what wonderful food. They called the Sunday sauce, Sunday gravy.
Thank you for the beautiful words. We call it the same. It’s the only time I don’t put my exhaust on because my kids love waking up to the stomach of sauce cooking over the stove. Then the fight starts for them not to dip in the pot! 🤣😂♥️♥️thank you so much! 🥰
I like your approach to meatballs , soaking the stale bread in milk will make for very soft and palatable meatballs. I have been out at restaurants and they served what I would call meatball hockey pucks, even those lousy frozen meatballs at the grocery store are horrible. But t you are making legit meatballs. My girlfriend loves my version of meatballs which is very close to yours, she loves the soft style of meatballs so it’s an instant success, she is so happy when they are on the table with pasta. I may tweak my version and lean more towards your version
Thank you Daniel! Looks like you know good food and how to make it! That means I’m honored by your beautiful compliment. The main ingredient is the love to feed my family and the happy faces when everyone is around the table enjoying the food. Grazie di cuore 💖
I make my meatballs just like you do. Exactly. This is how my great grandmother, grandmother, mother made them. I love that you use bread and not bread crumbs, too. Aren’t they delicious?
This recipe looks epic. Can't wait to try it. Your hands had meat, eggs, and milk on them when you grabbed the naked block of cheese (and the pepper mill). How do you clean that block of cheese, or is it fine that way?
Wow you're bringing back so many memories to me and I will definitely make these meatballs, I laugh when people use the Kraft cheese from the supermarket they don't know what real cheese is but that powdered stuff, and making homemade breadcrumbs instead of using the chemical laden breadcrumbs from the supermarket, I started making my own again because it's scary what the ingredients are in them and the sodium is so high, thanks again
I"m making these right now, I love your videos. Also, thank you for mentioning the removing of jewelry. It drives me nuts to see people with rings on getting it into the food. I"m also making your Sunday sauce.
I feel the same way. Inevitable remove my watch. Lol thank you so much for watching. 🥰 truly appreciate it. Food is indeed love and sharing even more. 🥰
Sorry for not replying sooner. I missed your message somehow :( I used the 2 handfuls. As a guideline for every one pound of meat I use about a 6 inch piece long italian bread. A little more doesn’t hurt it just makes the meatballs super soft. Thank you for watching
Hi Geraldine, thank you for watching. I don’t put onions in my meatballs. Hope you try and like my recipe. Every region makes them slightly different. These are the meatballs I’ve learned from my mom. 🥰
@@alessandrasfoodislove I make them very very similar to yours. Only difference is I do put onion and I use American Bread instead of Italian. I wet and squeeze. I will have to try it with the Italian bread.
My little one likes surprise meatballs... in that mixture I add chopped onions and in the middle I add a piece of mozzarella. Shape them them oval and a little flatter. I then fry or cook in a George Forman grill. They’re delicious too. Love to try new things all the time. Thank you! 🥰
Dear Alessandra I'm making these meatballs right now .My son got some great meat from the farm. His friend delivered it so to make him happy I have to do what he desires .He doesn't like any meat it has to be the best .Anyways I made tomato sauce with a clove of garlic diced onion and scallions .I used garlic in the meatballs with the stale bread like mom and your mom .
@@annalupis7921 Dear Anna, I know already that they’ll be delicious because it sounds like the mai ingredient is love. Thank you for watching. I’m in the kitchen too. Made 5 batches of pizza dough to make pizze fritte and I’m making zeppole too. All for my little girl. Grazie 🙏🏻 be safe and let’s keep cooking together. 💚🤍♥️

Can I use less oil
Hi Mario, yes, just gently brown them in very little oil and finish cooking in the sauce. You can also bake them.
Thank you so much for watching! 💚🤍❤️
Did you just use 2 handfuls of the squeezed bread or did you put all of the bread in?
Sorry for not replying sooner. I missed your message somehow :(
