First car I owned was a 309 that my grandfather sold to me for 1 franc in 97. He bought it new and had only done 36000k in 13 years … with no radio. Top spec: central locking, electric windows. I proceeded to fit speakers and a decent sound system, then gradually stopped nannying the thing until I was confident the engine could take my youthfully enthusiastic driving. Loved that baby blue car. I wish it was still mine today.
My first car was a 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400 convertible. I got it in December and wrecked it in June. That was replaced by a 1975 Firebird. Thanks for the videos!
My first car was a Lada Riva 1600 Delux, I paid £60 for it in 1987 and sold it for £250 in 1988, ironically it now costs more to fill my current vehicle with diesel than it did to buy my first car. Loving the videos mate, keep up the good work.
1st car was an ‘81 2-door Ford Taunus (Cortina in the UK) 1.6 Savoy with 197,000 km on it. Totalled it 5 months later at 223,000 km. It was an old crappy car, but the feeling of the ability to go anywhere at anytime was incredible…and still is. These days I’m on the dole so my current car is a crappy ‘08 Renault Clio 1.5 dci, but when it rains and the wind blows, it beats public transport by a mile.
First car, 1969 Ford Galaxy 500 with the 351 Windsor engine. I was only able to drive it for a couple of years before the transmission completely failed but you never forget your first.
My first car was a 1994 M-reg nissan micra. I had it for 2.5 years and did nearly 60k in it, with 90% of the gearchanges done on the redline 😂 it was a boggo car but over time i put the SuperS micra bodykit on it, almera front brakes, alloy wheels, lowering springs. Takes me back
My first car was a 1994 Dodge Shadow, red. It was my grandpa's car and he barely drove it so when I got it in 2001 he only had less than 50k km on it. It was the last thing he ever gave me because he died in October of that year. My biggest regret was that I was too much of a chicken shit when I was 18 and I barely drove it, in Ontario Canada they have a three tier licensing system where you start with a G1, then go to a G2, and finally a G. I never got past G1. So my dad drove it back and forth to work because I couldn't and he didn't want it to go to waste.Unfortunately it had to be scrapped when it only had about 60k-70k km on it because the engine suddenly seized up and wouldn't release. We could have probably fixed it but by then it was probably going to cost more than we wanted to spend on it to do. The car wasn't even 10 years old at that time. 21 years later and I STILL regret letting his last gift to me go to waste...
Good to see you back at work. My first car when I was 18, (35 years ago) was a MK1 Ford Escort. Red with a black vinel roof. Complete rust bucket underneath but the bodywork was good and only cost 50 quid with 6 months tax and MOT, so basicly a fiver for the car back then. Never got it through another MOT but I got it looking better than new with loads of Tcut & elbow greese and my mums cylinder hoover. Happy days.
My first car was a Lada Riva, I really loved that car, my dad couldn’t quite believe why I chose it when he offered to buy me a car when I passed my test at age 17, I had many happy hours driving my Lada, even though my friends endlessly made fun of it❤️.
My first chariot was a 2000 Mercedes E320. It saw me through highschool and college until some twerp rear ended it and totaled it. I bought it off an older lady who'd bought it new in summer of 2000. Still miss my little Mergatroid
My first car was a 2001 micra, I was 20 at the time and my car was 18, so almost the same age but my favourite memory in it was driving to download festival 130 miles away two weeks after passing my test as I told myself I couldn’t fail my test or I wasn’t going to the festival, and just the freedom it gave me in general!!!
This will tell you how old I am, my first car was a clapped-out Hillman Imp which I bought from my Dad! The first job was to drop the engine for a complete recon - even then it barely lasted me two years before I managed to wreck both the engine and the car (I was an idiot then!). My best memory of the car was when my Dad still owned it: he gave me and two fellow Police Cadets (all four of us big guys!), plus three lots of luggage, a lift from Fleetwood to Warrington. Looking back, I'm surprised we all managed to fit in!
My first car was a D reg Ford Escort 3 door estate. Bought for £67 (the cost of the rent the owner owed my dad at the time.) So the car was handed over instead. Of course it got lowered and RS turbo “dog leg” alloys were soon bolted on, that goes without saying 😂
Great to see you back Gary long awaited content love these skankfests haha. Can’t believe 40k plus cars get abused like this , one down the road from me a real skanky beast drives it , shellsuit and slippers you know the kind. My first car was an Astra 1.3gl 85 plate loved it . Take care pal and keep these vids flowing brightens up my day
Great job boss👌 good to see you back, we all been missing your content. First car was a £200 1966 Vauxhall Viva HA, reg no, 3092PZ. Awful thing but I loved it 😁
Another great video Gary. Well done! So, my first car in 1998 was a silver ‘F’ reg Renault 5 GTX called Frank (name close to the letters of the reg no). Normally aspirated but with a 1.7L lump in the front. I loved how I could pull the choke out and cruise around the village at 30mph with my feet on the carpet - cruise control before it was really a thing! It was pretty quick too but I was spending so much money on insurance and fuel, that I couldn’t afford a fix when the temp gauge started to sit in the red. I wound the windows down and put the heating on full blast as hot as it would go to try and counter this, but he eventually caught fire sat idle at a T junction. I luckily had a fire extinguisher handy that I’d bought from Halfords a couple of weeks earlier but the wiring loom had gone so that was the end of Frank! Great times.
Thank you for the video 👍. My 1st car was a mark 1 Ford Fiesta 950 popular. It only had one sun visor which naturally was on the driver's side. Used to make me chuckle seeing passengers reach up for the imaginary one when the sunshine was too bright. Keep up the good work.
My first vehicle was a 1991 Isuzu Trooper. This was before Range Rover decided that utility vehicles needed to be luxury cars and every other car company followed that trend. It had four wheel drive, a skid plate for mud riding and always ran warm to hot. It was a piece of crap and I loved it. I still miss it. It's rotting in the yard at my uncle's house and likely can't be salvaged.
Amazing that transformation in such a short time on a fixed budget 🙂👍 My first car was a BMW badged 1800SA Glas saloon. Several thousand knock down kits were shipped to BMW SA in the late 60's and with beefed up suspension and a lot of BMW badge engineering, produced an amazingly, tough and reliable car. I was in the SADF at the time doing my National Service and me and that car clocked up some awsome mileage, travelling all over SA, often with 3 of my army mates and their kit on board. Soon after I was demobbed in 83' my BeeEem was 'T' boned by a Passat Estate, whose driver locked up his brakes, just after a sudden Summer downpour in Jo'burg. I scraped my car and bought my next love an Escort 16 double O Sport.
Great video, always pains me to see a neglected car, regardless of price, it looked more than £100 better after being with you for 3 hours! My first car was a G reg Citroen AX “Night Life.” Pull out choke, 4 speed gearbox, 45 horsepower and 135 tyres! It meant freedom for me so I loved it to bits.
There are lot of disaster detailing videos in social media but no one can come even close to "Autoshine Cars". Keep those videos coming. My first car was nice blue Opel Kadett gle 1.3 5D 1988 (I thnik it's Vauxhall Astra in the UK). Rust was it's biggest enemy and sadly this car doesn't exist for a long time. It will be always in my heart since it was my first :)
My first "car" was a Berkeley T60 three wheeler and was great fun apart from the keyway locking the two halves of the crankshaft together shearing a couple of times, had a 328cc two stroke engine, happy days!
That’s a great job for the money. It wouldn’t surprise me if the customer came back later on, either asking if you can shampoo the carpets or touch up the paint work if they were able to sort the tears in the leather seats and small dents. My first car was a ‘95 Ford Escort 1.4 LX. It was only three years old when I brought it as If been saving since learning to drive, and well, it took a while till I finally past. I think my fondest memory was fitting a ****k off big sound system. I used to work for a Car Audio manufacturer and so got good discounts, and some of the engineers told me best places to run the power cables etc, so it was fun learning and also learning from mistakes. Only downside was having whole lot stolen, and they must’ve spent a fair amount of time taking it all as they unscrewed the power cables, unscrewed amp from back of seat, took cd changer from underseat and the sub box was heavy. So after that I learned to turn volume down when getting close to home 😂
Great to see you back! I hope you get the 500 sorted out soon before you lose any profit in it! My first car was a Corsa B. Me and my friends all had them, it was rubbish really the steering pump packed in apparently it was common but I absolutely loved it like we all do our first car!
First car I ever drove and (subsequently owned) is a 1987 Mercedes 300SDL (North America only). I still own it! Big frigging car, pretty quick too being a 3 liter turbo diesel. It was the first car I ever drove and the lady that owned it gave it to me when I was 16. Long story 😆
My first car was a navy blue Triumph Herald bought for £250 in the 1970s. It reminds of getting knocked off my Honda 350 (which was written off), I fractured my wrist, flew over the bonnet of a Hillman Avenger and woke up in agony in hospital. From the proceeds of compensation I bought the car. Loved everything about it ,they turn on a sixpence and have great character. Suffice to say I never went back to motorbikes.
Great video as per usual… My first car was a 1990 Skoda Estelle. It cost me £195. I only had it for a few months before someone ran in the back of me and wrote it off. I was gutted. I fitted a talking alarm to it which was fitted in the boot at the front. When the bonnet was shut it sounded like the alarm guy had a cold lol. If I could find a decent Estelle I’d have another like a shot
That one was howling, nice job. I didn't get my first car until 2001, 3 years after passing my test. It was a 1996 Vauxhall Corsa Vegas. As a 22 year old, I added big wheels, lowered it and fitted a body kit. I just loved cruising around in it!
Love seeing the videos back, great seeing a realistic turn around & done by a normal guy instead of drone fly bys and etc for a deep valet. Still haunted by that mouldy Nissan Leaf. First car was a V plate Vw Golf 1.4 in Burnt Orange & put original S8 diamond cut fan alloys on it. Looked smart for a first car but took me ages to pass them when I did was in a hurry to get something newer & faster. Cost £2100 for the Car & £475 for the Alloys. Had it just under 2 years and still made £600 profit so really can’t complain.
Nice to have you back. Mine was a 1997 Mk3 Astra Expression. Expression meant it got power steering aaaand that was it. It had 59 rampaging British Horses under the bonnet that was good for 0-60 eventually and a top speed of 99mph. Although I had the speedo reading 110 once 😂
Great video mate, nice to see the transformation. Shame how these lovely cars get abused like that, it's sacrilege. 1st car was a black Mini 1275GT. 1979, clubman front with original Dunlop Denovo Run Flat Tyres. Bronze tinted glass and it was the nuts. Total freedom for me, loved that car and if I had it now probably would be worth around 25k! Oh well 😁
1st car my grandpa wanted me to have his 1991 Ford Tempo that he got from my mom (1996) who bought it in 1991 with 9k miles. When I got it after he passed, it was rough... it was 12 yrs old and pretty neglected. But, it was a great first car, went thru snow like no other fwd I've had. I gave the car to my older brother after I had the opportunity to buy my grandmas car so she could upgrade like 7 months later. I still miss that pos, it was fun.
First ride was a 1973 Pontiac Lemans, it was green with sheet steel covering the rusted out floor. I bought right out of US Army Basic Training in Aug 1985. Funniest thing happened was the transmission took a dump and I lost all forward gears and had to drive it home in reverse about two miles. At that time was living in Detroit.
1990 ford topaz white 4dr i put well over 300,000 miles on that car driving all over texas an oklahoma i remember rip mom i told her it had a shift kit in it, well it was a automatic an the trans was going out i was 18 yrs old iam 42 now i had a big ricer exhaust on it two 12's mtx thunders but dam it took me everywhere i miss that car i had a lot of great times in it
Another great video again. My first car was a mk3 ford escort done up to look like a xr3 loved that car but as all old ford's,it got to state needed loads of welding.
1972 Chevy Vega ,yellow, purchased from my grandmother in 1981. Sweet first car tricked it out with front spoiler and crager wheels classic. Memories? Me and my first girlfriend who Broke my heart ❤️
Nice vid 👍 First car was a Mk 1 Ford Escort 1100cc, old F-reg so 1968 bought for £200, was on cross ply tyres... Fitted a nice pair of Lucas 700 S spotlights so I could see where I was going in the dark 😊 Anyone remember those lamps?
My first car in 75 was 71 K reg Escort 1300 GT fitted a pair of Lucas square 8s driving lights with the black lens covers on self made T bracket/steady bars plus uprated standard tungsten bulbs to the then newish Halogen bulbs almost the 1300 E look.
My first car back in 1999, was my Mom's 1981 VW Jetta 1.3GL.....it had only 42000 original miles on it. I crashed it within 3 days of passing my driving test😵 Happily, it was a cheap repair and gave me quite a few years of fond memories.
My first car was a Renault 12TL. My parents bought it new in 1976 and i got it when i passed my test in 1981. Back in those days a car was a girl electro magnet ; ). A tip if you aren’t aware - those nightmare white polish stains can be removed easily with an artists eraser for soft wax pencils. Just use it like any eraser and wipe off the residue!
Mine was a 1978 Ford Fairmont. Had some good times just driving around. Paid $500.00 U.S. for it if I remember correctly in 1996. Still ran good, just looked like crap.
Fantastic video as alway 👍 First car is a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant V6 Sport, still learning to drive but won't be long now 🙂 It's the same car my Dad used to own, he sold it to his friend and I bought it off of him a few years later. We used to go to the Lake District on holiday so have lots of fond memories with it.
My first car Gary was a White 1975 2 litre GT Ford Capri with black vinyl roof, at 20 I thought it was the bees knees. Corrosion got the better of it I’m afraid. Keep up the good work son, love your channel. All the best from Dunbar up in Scotland.
Great video as always! Quite a turn around on the inside, and yes surprising how rough some folk can be on cars. First car for me was a 1400 petrol Peugeot 306 field car. Biggest memory was the absolute smell of brakes from it after wrecking up lanes lol
First car was a 1982 Ford Laser hatchback. White, black interior, and chrome bumpers. My fondest memory is the manual choke, and how panicked I would get if I had to stop at the lights at the top of a particularly steep hill 😂.
White Vauxhall nova 1.2 flare 🤣 it had a big white sticker in the rear window sayin “ON A MISSION” loved that car made it out of 2 knackered novas & crashed it 2 days after passing my test showing off 🤦🏻♂️ my pops bought a new wing n painted it straightened the front end & had me back in the road in 2 days,, that car took me absolutely EVERYWHERE loved it would definitely have another
First car was a blue Peugeot 106 loved the wee car 1 of the things I will never forget was driving from viewpark to Blackpoo for a day tripl and the cluch going on the way back home I had to hold it in gear all the way back😁
Great Video as always mate! What acidic wheel cleaner did you use on this one? worked a treat! As to your question: A Citroen Saxo VTR! many fun times in that. Cheers, Michael.
That’s a good job for the price. It wouldn’t surprise me if the customer returned later on asking if carpets can be shampooed or paint touched up. My first car was a ‘95 Ford Escort LX, it was only 3 years old. I’d been saving money since I first started learning to drive, but, it took me a while till I passed my test. One of my fondest memories was, fitting a ***k off big sound system in it. I used to work for a Car Audio manufacturer so got great discounts, and had a little help from engineers on how to install it, run the cables etc. Must’ve traveled all over the uk for it.
Welcome back, another great job, I have just bought an evoque and cant believe someone would do that to this car but looked great after your touch. My first car was a VW polo MK1 (past my test many years ago) reminds me of my friends racing around and my mate smashed into the back of me at a give-away (squashed bumper time) and is dad welding a new back end on.
Nissan Bluebird, the RWD one. I learned how to wash, detail and polish on that car, how to do basic mechanics. I drove it hard but never abused it, and it served me well for 6 years and my sister 4….
Bit late on the band wagon, but still, my first war was a w202 Mercedes C-Class, the c220 to be exact. Loved that car but it absolutely rusted to bits. But have to say the first time driving alone somewhere for no real reason was probably the day in my life i felt most free. Good times...
I've been watching your vids for over two years now. The narration is watch caught me first, but what turned me into a subscriber was the great work. Shame this fellow didn't have the seats removed. Always a fine job and if the time comes, maybe an AutoShine Blackpool T shirt to order. All the best from the States....CJ
My first car was Mk3 ford fiesta 1.0. I got as a gift from my father for passing my 1st year in a university. It was not very expensive car around 500-600 Euro. It was almost 20 years ago now, but it was a much better choice rather than taking a bus or a trolley to university :D Sadly though i had her only for 1,5 years, as one idiot crashed into me and the car ended up as a unrepairable and went to scrapyard.
My first car was a 71 Mercury Capri. It was a nightmare. Made the mistake of buying a car from a mechanic. At the time needed the car for work. You name it there was a problem with it. :) My favorite memory of the car was when it caught on fire. Thought I was rid of it. Unfortunately a fireman, off duty was there and he then called fire department and they put out the fire. Rats!!! :D. Only a few wires got burned.
Good to see you back with a cleaning video. My first car i owned was a peugeot 206 1.1 didnt have it long as wasnt my cuppa tea so got rid for a mk4 astra 5door 1.6 was what i passed in
First car was a Robin Reliant when I was 13. My grandad bought it me to play about with and get to learn about repairing cars. First car I had on the road was a Vauxhall Chevette. Had about 50 cars since then.
First car after passing my test in 2003 was a 1979 Triumph Dolomite Sprint, it wasn't in the best condition but I dearly loved that car! FRW 180T if I remember correctly.
Hi Gary another enjoyable vid, my first motor was a 1972 Austin 1300 bought in '77 for £200, drove it up and down from Dumfries to the south of Englandshire for 2 years without missing a beat. BTW you're video editing skills are 1st class as well.
I love these Evoques, but heard they have a few nasty issues. Thanks for sharing. First car was Escort Mk2. Had a lot of fun going out in the stick and trying to be Colin McRae.
Good to see you're back. 😎 The best disaster detailing channel on UA-cam. 😀 👍
By far!!!

I was literally thinking last night during my shift that you haven't released a video in a while.
Here he is 💪🏼
GREAT JOB!! My first car was a Citroen AX GT. My mates all have Nova SR's, Nova GTE's , XR2's etc. My GT left them all standing!!!
My first car was a 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400 convertible. I got it in December and wrecked it in June. That was replaced by a 1975 Firebird. Thanks for the videos!

First car was an Escort mk 3 in 1988. Great memories of that time
Great job, I got a few tips. My first car was a Riley Elf, similar to a Mini but a bit more luxurious, ha ha.
Nice to see another video man
My 1st car was a C reg rover 213S, got it given off my uncle with 235thou on the clock. It was shit, but I loved it.
My first car was 1964 Ford Falcon Station Wagon. Loved that car. Gave it to my brother when he got his driver's license.
My first chariot was a 2000 Mercedes E320. It saw me through highschool and college until some twerp rear ended it and totaled it. I bought it off an older lady who'd bought it new in summer of 2000. Still miss my little Mergatroid

Nice to see your putting out fresh content it’s been too long , first car was a 1980 w reg opel kadett 1.2 best £100 spent on a car
This will tell you how old I am, my first car was a clapped-out Hillman Imp which I bought from my Dad! I always finish of spraying the carpets with black carpet dye as it brings the colour back to life.
Great to see you back Gary long awaited content love these skankfests haha. Love your videos!

Great video as always!
First car was a VW Caddy pick up.. and 20 odd years later I've still got it and it still runs;-)
Cor, that evoke was abused. Nice job for the time you were given.
First car was my grandads ‘88 Astra 1.6L estate.

Moose should give the cars a Smell rating 🤣
Glad you are posting again 🙂
He loves anything that stinks 😷
Great video, always pains me to see a neglected car, regardless of price, it looked more than £100 better after being with you for 3 hours! My first car was a G reg Citroen AX “Night Life.” Pull out choke, 4 speed gearbox, 45 horsepower and 135 tyres! It meant freedom for me so I loved it to bits.
And being a Citroen didn't take long to fall to bits either, I remember these well, the AX was a good little car in its day

Did they call her Mrs Robinson lol
Absolutely love these videos, it's something about seeing the results at the end.
Keep up the great content 🖖🇦🇺
I had a 2000 Focus Zetec 1.6 had it 7 years and did over 112k in it, only thing that failed was the coil pack!
Thanks for the video! Keep up with the detailing videos; they are your core. Regards from Canada!
Love your results. My first car was a 1968 maroon automatic Chevy Impala. Took over payments from my brother. I ran it until the springs gave out.
Glad you are back, keep the videos coming. My 1st car was a 1979 Pontiac Firebird.
What you achieved in 3 hours is amazing. Customer must be over the moon!
Another great video...My first car was an R reg Escort mk2...with a vinyl roof!!! 👍
1990 ford topaz white 4dr i put well over 300,000 miles on that car driving all over texas an oklahoma i remember rip mom i told her it had a shift kit in it, well it was a automatic an the trans was going out i was 18 yrs old iam 42 now i had a big ricer exhaust on it two 12's mtx thunders but dam it took me everywhere i miss that car i had a lot of great times in it
Ford capri. I absolutely loved it!! Rear wheel drive in the snow canny beat it!!
Another great video again. My first car was a mk3 ford escort done up to look like a xr3 loved that car but as all old ford's,it got to state needed loads of welding.
You're back, happy to see a new cleaning vid again!
Great job! Considering the shire condition it was in. Always breaks my heart seeing such wanton neglect!
First car, Hillman Avenger. Turning the steering wheel was a workout 💪. Rusted like the Titanic.
Amazing amount of work in 3 hours!! 1972 Austin 1100 in Harvest Gold, all rust and no brakes.
1981 Chevy luv. Dented up but I was 16 and it was freedom! Loved it!
Mine was a 1978 Ford Fairmont. Had some good times just driving around. Paid $500.00 U.S. for it if I remember correctly in 1996. Still ran good, just looked like crap.
Fantastic video as alway 👍 First car is a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant V6 Sport, still learning to drive but won't be long now 🙂
It's the same car my Dad used to own, he sold it to his friend and I bought it off of him a few years later. We used to go to the Lake District on holiday so have lots of fond memories with it.
Alfa Romeo 33 1.3, it spent more time in the workshop than on the road, still a great car. Greetings from Spain.
First one was a Ford Taunus 17m p3 Lovely one
Great video the guy got his moneys worth £100 well done well worth it
My first car was a 1976 Cortina mark 3
White Vauxhall nova 1.2 flare 🤣 it had a big white sticker in the rear window sayin “ON A MISSION” loved that car made it out of 2 knackered novas & crashed it 2 days after passing my test showing off 🤦🏻♂️ my pops bought a new wing n painted it straightened the front end & had me back in the road in 2 days,, that car took me absolutely EVERYWHERE loved it would definitely have another
First car was a blue Peugeot 106 loved the wee car 1 of the things I will never forget was driving from viewpark to Blackpoo for a day tripl and the cluch going on the way back home I had to hold it in gear all the way back😁
My first car was a mk2 escort 1.3 GL. It went like stink after a good tune, the power soon dropped off though so didn't last long at all.
Nice video, First car ... a 1964 Ford Anglia 105E, a massive 997cc. Bought for £90 and dissolved into a pile of a rust after a couple of years.
Good times...
this is what happened when u love ur job!!much respect..
Good to see you back! Great work!
Nice job, looks much better, I'm sure it smells better as well. Good seeing you back. 👍👍👍👍👍😉🇺🇸
@Lancashirelad I sold it to a guy in Ireland so that would be when it was exported, I really do miss it!
First car Ford Fiesta mk2 1.1 Ghia. love the fords growing up, escorts, driving one now a focus 😂
Good to see you back. Mine was a 1999 Citroen Saxo.
Hi Gary another enjoyable vid, my first motor was a 1972 Austin 1300 bought in '77 for £200, drove it up and down from Dumfries to the south of Englandshire for 2 years without missing a beat.
BTW you're video editing skills are 1st class as well.
875cc Hillman Imp, bought from my brother for £200, loved it...
I love these Evoques, but heard they have a few nasty issues. Thanks for sharing. First car was Escort Mk2. Had a lot of fun going out in the stick and trying to be Colin McRae.
Loved mine, 3dr dynamic in this colour.
My first car was a mk1 escort in red an it made me feel great
Datsun b210 . No good memories of it. The muffler kept falling off! Great video..
