2 1/2 years Marty has gave to me hours and hours of personal one on one training via youtube, everyone says now , well done teaching yourself how to play, I never thought I could ever play a tune , got given a guitar by chance and now thanks to you Marty I can play , THANKS
As I beginner, at first I was like "oh that's easy I can totally play C and Em" and then he started playing barre chords all over the place and I was like "no No NO!"
EDIT: Now I can play the whole song. If you are just starting out don't fret (pun intended). I've realized it's easier to learn barre chords than you might think.
@@tamircohen1512 Nice! Easy for you maybe..... I will give it a whirl... I am famous for faking the $hit out of it. Even my buddies who barre are like wth you can play the barre easier than that but that worked!
You have the chords for almost EVERY song I've been wanting to learn. For someone who just picked up the guitar a mth ago.. it's really a godsend.. thanks Marty!
My Boyfriend had a stroke, and he's in a nursing home now it's over abilitations nursing home and he's able to have his guitar and this helps so much thank you for all you do. Now he'll call me and he'll ask for Marty music guitar songs.
I have watched many of these online line acoustic lessons. You were my first and now my only as you are by far the absolute best teacher out there.I just wanted to thank you for taking me in a very short time from an average campfire strummer to a 1/2 decent 12 string guitar player. You da bomb. if you are ever in Boston I have plenty of acoustics if you want to hang.
The best thing I like is he plays the entire thing first so you know exactly what you will be learning first instead of them teaching you something then they play it and it turns out to be a different version of the song not the actual chords
More than anything else I’ve seen or heard you play, this, just in the first minute, shows real spirit and heart. This is how and why we love playing every person’s instrument. It’s like you forgot the camera was rolling. I’m an actor; to mr that’s the best. Rock on, Marty Schwartz.
Thanks to Marty and 2 years of dedication... I was able to learn how to play this within about 5 minutes, just from watching the intro. Marty, I wish you had a subscription thing or a patreon or something because I would totally be willing to spend $5 or $10 a month!
as a beginner it would help to have the chord shapes on the screen even if you don’t talk about them. other than that which is honestly not a big deal ive been loving ur videos
Marty, on December 19th, 2021, will be 2 years since I bought a guitar and started learning from you and others. Now I can play almost any song you teach fairly easily. Thank you. 😊 🤗
Marty u are The Man!!! I've been following u for as long as i can remember & ive been playing for around 7 yrs . now... Keep doing what u do & I will always recommend your channels 2 anyone who plays or is willing & wanting 2 learn how... Keep it bro!!!
Actually, the E minor chord in the 'floating round my tin can" part is actually a G major with an E. You can see it in the video for Space Oddity as well as live shows.
You are nearly right. At around 3:50 in the official video at „floating round my tin can“ you can see that he moves the Fmaj7/C chord (033210) two frets up which gives 055430 or EDGBDE which is just an Em7. Interesting way to play the Em7. Did not find this in any chord library but it works.
Great diversity, listening to your tutorials makes a few chords with a couple of spicy advice sound like the real songs. I really enjoy all the free stuff, learning from you is a great honor. Thank you so much for your dedication into those beautiful adventures into the world of music.
That’s one of best videos I’ve seen recently , just happened to be a perfect challenge for my level but you made it really clear but fun aswell , thanks
Thanks Marty for your time with this. Lots of chords on this one but as always, your patience and quirky "mistakes" make this another great and enjoyable song to learn!
Marty, Just thought I'd say thank you for your easy to follow music lessons, it's been a pleasure and a great way to get in touch with ones-self and others.
