I was just thinking the same thing!! Such perfect examples of quietly performing their duties for the people & not for themselves. He just turned 80 & neither has given any indication they want to cut back.

He's a cousin of the late Queen. He's been a working royal for fifty years. He never expected to become a working royal, and is actually a trained architect, but that changed when his older brother was killed in a plane crash and he became the heir to the Dukedom. His wife is Danish and a fine example of how well a foreigner can integrate with the royals when they really want to. They don't get nearly as much publicity as the younger, more glamorous royals even although they do more than some of them do.

@@LizaFergison William was mature enough, even at his young age, to know what he needed and wanted. People make comments about how long they dated but William learned from past experiences. Fergie didn't like Andrew being gone so long during his military service. William knew he was going to be gone a lot during his training. Better to have Catherine know she didn't like it while they were dating until waiting until they were married. They're together for the long run.

There's a big difference between a state visit and a working visit.
Since I subscribed to this channel, this is the first time I am seeing Prince Richard the Duke of Gloucester around other members of his extended family.
Prince Richard is around 80 years of age but he looks much younger.

I love this, it is a very British thing to say to guests `let me give you a quick tour of the house/would you like the 5 minute tour` (even if it just an average house - I know it´s a British thing), King Charles takes it to another level LOL. Great to see The Duchess of Edinburgh, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester there, real working senior members of the BRF. Just my opinion but at 1:18 on the video, could Prince William have got any closer to Catherine? I love their subtle ways of PDA, whilst respecting Royal Protocol.
