Dude, you’re super amazing. I think I already have got one out. But now I have another one that hurts like hell and I mean like hell but I know what it is now things to you and what to do in a general sense! Thank you so much I really appreciate it only God knows how much. God bless you.!
I've pulled out 2 from my past 2 extractions without numbing liquid. Mind you I did just have teeth pulled and the gums were still in the healing process and gums still open when I pulled them. It was annoying feeling the little piece of bone inside the socket just catching food debris and wiggling it with my tongue, so when I was using the dental pick to pick out food from the socket, I just decided to grab a pair of tweezers and wiggle loose the bone spur and pulled it out with no pain or no problems.
You’re having the same problem as me. Unless there is lot of pressure on them they don’t hurt. The dentist was surprised I was eating solid food with no discomfort.
Getting this done in a few days. Thnk you for making this page and being real. I too will be awake. Please say prayer for me. I hope it ends well like it has for you!! 🙂🙂🙏🙏

Finally someone in the position as myself. No teeth either. I have my 11 year old niece and 7 year old nephew. This week poor thing immediately noticed. That Auntie Angela had no teeth. Oh well better for her to learn what train wreck her Aunt is.
Yes! It has a name! I had full mouth extractions due to high dose radiation. (See story on my page) I had to do 6 weeks of Hyperbaric Chamber to regrow blood vessels. It’s been a 3 year journey just to get this done. I’ve been able to put in my top dentures but because of bone spurs and big flat protrusions, the bottom dentures hurt way too much to put in. It’s been 3 months since that torture without being put under and I just want a smile again. I never knew what it was called or if would go away but because of your video I feel less anxiety about just knowing that it will or can go away. Now I’ve just to figure out what adhesive I can use because using the Fixodent on the uppers and all that slime left behind, I end up not hardly using them. I am going to use your advise video wisdom and try again though. Thank you so much! 🎉

Hi Justin, sadly I think I have one starting to poke thru lower gum, from large molar extraction. I noticed after taking my lower denture out and going to bed, and then realised I had a slight swelling looked in the mirror and noticed a slight hole in the gum with something white showing, not poking out yet to pull out Thanks again for the information, I hope that's the only one.
I am in the middle of getting my teeth removed for dentures. I have 7 on the bottom left to get removed yet. So far I have 24 bone spurs. 10 on top and 14 on the bottom right. Any pressure is an 8 out of 10 on pain level. The numbing stuff you buy in the store does nothing to ease my dental pain. When I go to the dentist he has to numb me 3 times before he can work in my mouth. Thanks for the information anyway.
I have told my dentist several times.. she looked at me as if I was crazy. I started taking them using tweezers on my own with the help of my husband or on my own if I can reach it. I still have some, and some are painful. I am sorry to say I used a file to blunt them so they didn't hurt. I had to do that because the point would have cut through the skin and it would never really heal up. After I used the file (regular nail file)... then the skin closed on top of it and never had the issue again. I still have some others.... the dentist I got my teeth removed at won't listen to me. I will have to go to another one later on and see if I find one that actually listens and helps me remove those hard to reach/remove.
I don’t understand why the dentist is giving you hard time about this. If they won’t come out on their own. This becomes problem for you with pain. You won’t be able to wear your dentures. Some people can’t eat with them either. Hopefully you can see another dentist and get them taken care of.
Literally just pulled one out wasn't painful or anything I just felt and saw it and knew it shouldn't be there and pulled it out, then I decided to research it.
Thank you for this post. I have a spur on my lower jaw very annoying I pointed it out to my dentist thinking it might be a piece of tooth .He showed me on the x-ray that it was just bone, and didn't seem to think anything of it. I'll have him remove it on my next visit. Thanks again for posting your experience very helpful
My DDS won’t even take an X-ray or remove them. He says just hang in there and left them work themselves out but they’re causing my dentures to not fit. Ugh!
I have one that I probably could remove myself. But I am afraid to try it. I see the dentist next week. To have them removed. If it wasn’t for my fellow denture wearers. I wouldn’t have known about this possible complication. So glad that watched bunch videos. For few weeks before I finally had my teeth pulled.
Uggh, I’m having a huge one coming through right now! It’s FINALLY broken though the gum after being sore for months now. My extractions were done in November of 2017! They left the upper left side wisdom tooth, because it was impacted and laying sideways, and they said it would never move…so no need to worry about it. Now I don’t know if it’s just a spur, or if it’s that wisdom tooth. 😢
Had a tooth pulled TODAY. I was mad at the dentist when I got home lol being it's now the weekend. But yes I feel a piece of smthn there. Guess it's a bone thingy like you are mentioning. If I'm feeling it now when I rub my tongue there Hopefully it's really to blow soon... I'm not in pain but eating soup was strange. I was like what da hell am I hitting. 😂 Haaaa. 💃 Thanks for the advice dear
That’s probably not a bone spur. There’s always a feeling of a bony ridge on back molars and wisdom teeth that you can feel after they are first pulled. I’m surprised your dentist didn’t tell you about that. Once your empty tooth socket has closed up, you won’t feel it anymore. Bone spurs take several weeks to years to make their way through the gums.
@@thefloridamimi9278 wow I thought about that the other day. It's been a week and now or ..as days passed. ..... me rubbing my tongue over it, it seems that it's going under vs out.
@@thefloridamimi9278 straight to the point! 🤗 hugs Mimi ... I appreciate that knowledge. You clarified everything I wondered about. Thank you . Honestly, thank you 🙌💃
@@twelv yeah, that sounds like it was just the bony ridge of the empty socket, which is starting the healing process. I didn’t start seeing the tooth fragments/shards/spurs until about two and three months after the extractions, and I’ve had 6 so far, and have one that just started busting through! My teeth were pulled in 2017! 😂 I hope you are doing okay, and most of the pain has gone away. Warm salt water rinses helps to speed up the healing process, and helps with the pain and swelling too.
@@thefloridamimi9278 hiii yes the pain is gone but that tooth or bone thingy is still there. Seems like it moved. Not sure if that's good but yeah I'm healing well I guess . Been taking your advice ...salt water rinse etc. Have a good weekend
Thank you for this video! Think I had small ones before that cmae out on their own, had my wisdom extraction and have 2 now, they started popping up awhile ago before the extraction though.
I had 2 teeth out 5 months ago and still have pain in the gum where 1 of the teeth came out . The area as healed over but I've still got pain in one little area . I myself can see a tiny hole and it feels hard underneath and very sore . I went back to my dentist who x-rayed the area but said . All is okay and nothing is in there . But every day I am in pain . I still think there is something but whatever it is it won't come to the surface. My dentist did say it could be phantom and says she doesn't see any holes I'm at a loss as to what to do . I'm in UK .
you just made me put my uppers in after trauma. its missaligned upper and lower part. stil in my first denitures after being toothless for 6 months due to infections.
Thank you, I just had thirty extractions and have 4 "boney" prominences. I got some curved forceps for a better grip as they are deep. I will go t the dentist if I need to though.
I did the extraction before actually watching the video but I ended up here checking if it could have been bone, cause once I took it out, it fell through the sink drain lol At least I know I didn't mess up too much taking it out myself
Getting extractions in a few days will be awake . I will be getting my dentures right away . Have had partials and removing 11 teeth . Lots of bone loss so Dr thinks in a year I could get implants . Seems to be a lot of denture adhesives out there .
Hey Justin, after 2 months from my extractions and my 1st reline now got a bone spur coming thru top left gum, must be from molar. The gum has an odd pin shape, like something wants to poke thru, painful, doing salt water gargle, but nothing thru gums yet, will have to wait for it to raise its ugly head to pull out. Also after day 7 of relines, my Dentures feel tight and uncomfortable, will have to wait it out as speech and eating back to normal.
I am so sorry you are in pain. Mine only bother me when I put pressure on them. Otherwise they are fine. I had soft tacos last night. Ate with no pain. But I am so ready to finally get my dentures.
What in the world?! I had the last 14 teeth I had left extracted over 10 years ago. I have always had trouble getting my bottom dentures to fit. Yesterday something came through my gums in that area and I swear it’s a “bone spur” or piece of tooth. Is it possible after all this time?? It’s so darn sore!
Hi, thank you for this information. I got my first reliner yesterday on the first set of dectures, the temporary ones. And yes bone spurs are happening now, but the dentist did not remove the worst one, so I am guessing it wasn't big enough to be a huge bother, but my question is what happens if it is not removed? Does it just fall out on it's own or do I have to eventually have to have it removed by the dentist. It feels like the tip of it is gone now. 2 days before the reliner was done I could not wear the bottom dentures, to much pain to get them in and then to keep them in, but since the reliner is done now I am wearing them again, but still can not start to chew food yet, so liquids it is. Thanks for your help... ~~~Peace~~~
Hi i have a third bone fragment in my gum iam really scared as isaw a maxilofacial consultant who said that if it was removed i could end up with being numb in my tongue lip and chin for good i dont need this on top of having facial pain of neuropathic in origin
Idk if i have a bone spur or what is going on. I had a molar removed on the back lower right side and a month later i started to feel bone coming through the side of my gum, not the top but the side right by the side of my tongue. It's a good inch long/wide but not something I'm able to extract on my own. I currently have Covid and unable to get to my dentist but will go as soon as I'm feeling better. I guess I'm so use to dental issues, this doesn't seem to bother me that much. I will say this, I need seven dental implants but don't have the money for even one. Why aren't they affordable!?
Had a molar removed 6 days ago. All seemed fine initially but i woke up day 2 with a small piece of tooth in my mouth. 4 days later I felt a hard substance near the hole with my tongue. I managed to remove some but there’s a piece that’s really wedged in there. Should I just leave it for it to come out itself?
I had my lower, back molar removed. Ibhave a spur coming through. Ibhave wiggled and wiggled it. It feels so deep. I have this internal fear that it's connected to my jawbone. Have you ever felt like yours were that deep and ended up nit being so huge?
I’ve got 7, had my teeth out 2 weeks ago and can not put teeth in. Havnt got the dentist till another week. My bone spurs are solid is that normal. There’s no way I’d be able to take them out myself
i had my lowers extracted one month ago. I have bumps on the side of my gums. I cant get a denture in my mouth.. is that what these bumps are bone? Going back to the dentist soon. had to miss a couple of appointment due to not feeling good. have had upper denture for 10 years no problem there. J eez lower nothing but pain.
Yes they are very painful and no fun. Give it a few days and see if it comes to the surface more. Then get the numbing liquid to help pull out with little pain
When you have good dental work there is a lot less of that and this gentleman has had very bad dental work I don't know who did his but I can tell you it was bad from the start and I'm going through the same thing I have bone spurs coming through she ripped my mouth apart scrape the bone I was in excruciating pain and I don't have very much good to say about those dentists.Good dentists have a lot less complications.
@@MicheleMaramarco-w5zI was thinking the same thing….I had teeth pulled years ago and Never had any bone spurs….now with these current extractions I pulled one that was sticking out but another developed after four weeks that’s internal and very sore……everywhere you read that it’s Not the Drs fault…….I question that too!!!!!!!!! I agree with you!
I had chunks...not splinters. A couple of them I had to dig out. 16 months later, my gums are sore and I can't stand to keep my dentures in and I can barely chew.
I'm sorry....did you just say have your 24 teeth removed 😱??? I had a tooth extracted four days ago and I still haven't recovered from the trauma 😅. However, I developed a bone spur as well, I tried taking it out on my own but it hurts and its uncomfortable. I'll visit my dentist again to take it out.
I am 3wks post full mouth extractions and I have pain and I believe it’s a bone spur it’s long though. Everyone else is saying theirs are little. However, the bone is sticking out a little at one end should I pull it out? My whole left side is hurting.
Hey brother how long would you say it can take to expose itself enough to pull it out myself? Iv had this for at least 2 weeks and it’s very painful I have a lot of trouble eating. I see a little white piece showing itself but not enough to grab it with tweezers. Btw I got my 4 wisdom teeth removed 2 months ago
You need to give it time. After 3 weeks of my wisdom teeth removal, 2 shards finally came out. The feeling of release afterwards is amazing. I have some more pieces but the body will eventually get rid of it naturally.
A week ago I had my last 17 teeth extracted. My bottom gums are tender but tolerable. The top is a whole different ball game. I have HUGE bone shards coming thru, one is 2 sockets long in an unstitched tear on my left side. I called him and he said they work themselves out. I have dropped 14 pounds since 8 days ago. I can't even sip soup. Broth burns like rubbing alcohol. I can't even bite down on jello.looking for ANY advice I can get, PLEASE 😢😢🙏🙏🙏
I'm a 64 year old man, I haven't had my bottom right side teeth for at least a few years but now I have something sharp growing out of my gum, it feels like a tooth but it can't be. Can you tell me what this is?
I used my fingernail because those things suck Just pulled another one, no joke listeners. 6 months later (monster too) now I feel another. (Aggravating) I'd like to call on the dentist but how?? Such a weird thing to deal with.
Geez…..Six months later and still getting bone spurs!!!!!!??????? Is that what I might be looking at? Pulled out one that was on the surface but another developed inside on bottom front and is sore…….
My one wisdom tooth took 3 hours to extract. Awake obviously. Then I got dry socket. He put a bone grapt in . Then I went and he had to scrape the area to get a new blood clot and clove pack. Extremely painful. And i only took tylonal. I can't take opiods. Now i just got the bone spur ground down. It's been a nightmare.

Ugh!
Thanks for sharing. Very helpful
Thank you Justin, God bless.
Thank you
Thanks for the tip
Thank you and God's Blessing
I just felt one about 10 days after a tooth extraction. Really weird. That’s why I’m here. Disinfecting my diy kit now 🤓
Did you extract it?
I have one that I probably could remove myself. But I am afraid to try it. I see the dentist next week. To have them removed. If it wasn’t for my fellow denture wearers. I wouldn’t have known about this possible complication. So glad that watched bunch videos. For few weeks before I finally had my teeth pulled.
Thanks for this video
Hello Justin B
My dentist did say it could be phantom and says she doesn't see any holes
I'm at a loss as to what to do . I'm in UK .
you just made me put my uppers in after trauma. its missaligned upper and lower part. stil in my first denitures after being toothless for 6 months due to infections.
I don’t understand your comment
I just had to pull one of those suckers out. I think I will feel much better.
Omg I had one and it was digging into my tounge it was so painful
Thank you, I just had thirty extractions and have 4 "boney" prominences. I got some curved forceps for a better grip as they are deep. I will go t the dentist if I need to though.
I’m 6 weeks post op after having all my teeth removed, and on my journey to getting dentures, I got my first impressions done at 4 weeks post op
your awesome thank you !!!!!
Good video thanks for sharing, heading over to my drug store now haha
I did the extraction before actually watching the video but I ended up here checking if it could have been bone, cause once I took it out, it fell through the sink drain lol
At least I know I didn't mess up too much taking it out myself
Sounds like having a splinter in your finger. Very tiny yet painful.
How long after your extractions did you get these bone spurs?
Getting extractions in a few days will be awake . I will be getting my dentures right away . Have had partials and removing 11 teeth . Lots of bone loss so Dr thinks in a year I could get implants . Seems to be a lot of denture adhesives out there .
My top adhesive is Fixodent ultra max hold paste. It is amazing
THANKS
Thank you for the info💯
Hey Justin, after 2 months from my extractions and my 1st reline now got a bone spur coming thru top left gum, must be from molar. The gum has an odd pin shape, like something wants to poke thru, painful, doing salt water gargle, but nothing thru gums yet, will have to wait for it to raise its ugly head to pull out.
Also after day 7 of relines, my Dentures feel tight and uncomfortable, will have to wait it out as speech and eating back to normal.
Had teeth extracted and one chip was
Left and I was able to grab it with forceps when I pulled on it the pain
Was so intense my legs buckled.
Ya if it’s already sore and you don’t numb it, it can be pretty painful
Thank you ❤
I just had one removed, it never came through and excruciating pain.
Gee more fun. I have to get rest done and mess😥
Ya I’m sure it just slowly made its way out
Really helpful thank you
Glad it helped
~~~Peace~~~
What's the name of the numbing spray?
So glad i watched thus
Hi i have a third bone fragment in my gum iam really scared as isaw a maxilofacial consultant who said that if it was removed i could end up with being numb in my tongue lip and chin for good i dont need this on top of having facial pain of neuropathic in origin
where were these bones spurs, on top of gum or side?
Sometimes they are still connected. Or not out enough to remove. Give a few days
@@JustinBsDentureJourney omg
What if it isn't right by the extraction point?
Could this happen randomly 2-3 years after tooth extraction. Because im feeling something now and the whole left side of my face in pain
I’ve got 7, had my teeth out 2 weeks ago and can not put teeth in. Havnt got the dentist till another week. My bone spurs are solid is that normal. There’s no way I’d be able to take them out myself
I have a 2nd one coming in after just 1 tooth extraction. It really sucks.
They are painful
Is it normal to get bone spurs 2 years adter extraction?
i had my lowers extracted one month ago. I have bumps on the side of my gums. I cant get a denture in my mouth.. is that what these bumps are bone? Going back to the dentist soon. had to miss a couple of appointment due to not feeling good. have had upper denture for 10 years no problem there. J
eez lower nothing but pain.
I’m trying to save my lowers as of right now I have to have my tops pulled some on the left are gone already E day august 31st
I have one now that hurts sooooo bad 😭 I can barely eat and I can't seem to get hold of it yet. I hate them!
Ty, was wiggin
I have one on the top right of gums where I got my wisdom tooth out and I can’t grab it with tweezers because it’s in such a hard spot :(
I had chunks...not splinters. A couple of them I had to dig out. 16 months later, my gums are sore and I can't stand to keep my dentures in and I can barely chew.
Your gums shouldn’t be sore. Dentures may need to be adjusted. I would go see dentist because 16 months later and you shouldn’t have issues
Yup full mouth extraction
Ten weeks ago, I had 19 extractions and got my immediate dentures. Now I'm dealing with 5 bone spurs, I did have 13. They're very painful.
@@GracetheWestie I couldn't bare the trauma of just one tooth removed. I can't imagine what it was like for you. Do take care.
I am 3wks post full mouth extractions and I have pain and I believe it’s a bone spur it’s long though. Everyone else is saying theirs are little. However, the bone is sticking out a little at one end should I pull it out? My whole left side is hurting.
Hello i just have my wisdom remove and i think i experiencing this bone spurs because it is causing me pain when hit by my tongue...
If it’s real sharp and hard, then most likely bone spurs
I just pulled one out cause it was hurting my tongue and I had a wisdom tooth removed over a month ago
watched this after i removed 2 from my mouth . numb stuff may of bin nice tho .
Just got to give time. Not sure how long it will take
You need to give it time. After 3 weeks of my wisdom teeth removal, 2 shards finally came out. The feeling of release afterwards is amazing. I have some more pieces but the body will eventually get rid of it naturally.
hi is every think ok now
A week ago I had my last 17 teeth extracted.
This video shows the best advise. Numbing liquid and tweezers
I'm a 64 year old man, I haven't had my bottom right side teeth for at least a few years but now I have something sharp growing out of my gum, it feels like a tooth but it can't be. Can you tell me what this is?
Could be a bone spur or part of jaw. I noticed one recently and I tried to pull out but it wasn’t a bone spur
I'm having constantly after two alveoplasty. Nothing left:( I'm so tired of nerve damage from surgeries. This can't be normal.
That’s unfortunate.
What nerve damage????????? From what???? Can you elaborate please…….
I used my fingernail because those things suck
Just pulled another one, no joke listeners. 6 months later (monster too) now I feel another. (Aggravating) I'd like to call on the dentist but how??
Such a weird thing to deal with.
Anyway that works! They are painful
Geez…..Six months later and still getting bone spurs!!!!!!??????? Is that what I might be looking at? Pulled out one that was on the surface but another developed inside on bottom front and is sore…….
damn i got one so badly i can't eat much food. but i am to scared to pull it just because its all the way in my mouth :( they they grow out over time?
Usually they push their way out. Some have to be removed by dentist and others you can pull
I guess I got lucky mine was so loose I just pulled it out
Oh no I don’t want them again yuck 🤮
What if you haven’t had teeth removed but have them in back by where your wisdom teeth is suppose to grow
Thank You‼️‼️‼️
My one wisdom tooth took 3 hours to extract.
