The Chongqing Future Champion was definitely the best deal at $20! You didn't give a price on that red Corvette at the end, so I'm thinking you bought it. ;)
@@Christoph-sd3zitrue. Same thing happened to cars from the brass age. Then the 20s and 30s. As the collectors die...so does the prices. The only ones that are keeping their value or increasing are Dusenbergs and any Ferrari until the 1990s.
People should not be scared of the title. There are people who buy the cars for the shape their in. This one will probably go on export to the Jordan/UAE/Iraq.
@@Jonas-ou6ov I'm not saying to be scared of a title, but the reality is that it costs more to insure and the resell value drops drastically. Also, if you have $228k to throw at a salvage car, you probably have $20,000 more to throw at a slightly used one with a clean title.
Did I miss something, how much did the vintage Corvette go for? That car was beautiful, interior was gorgeous! Someone better make sure it doesn't leak anymore though, and they better dry that water up. I hope the reason you didn't put the price up was because you bought it. If that's the case, you got one beautiful car there.
It was the only car I couldn't get a sales listing for. Usually that means it hasn't gone up for sale, but in this case it looks like maybe they completely pulled it from the auction 😢
@@Samcrac - It didn't really make sense that it was there. I didn't see any damage worth totaling it for. Not sure what year it was, 65-66ish, but it's probably worth at least $50k. A slashed top does not equate to that. Maybe it was a saltwater flood? Or maybe it's not salvage afterall.
I was worried Sage left a couple of months ago as he was missing from a couple of episodes, I'm glad that he's still around, I kinda like him. Both of those Corvettes were really cool, I hope you could get one of those at least! I'm a bit bummed you didn't look at the red C7 Corvette next to the red Tesla. Keep 'em Corvette content coming! If that C8 is damaged on the front, the engine is unharmed, if there's no serious frame damage, that could be a quick fix!
The Toyota pickup on rear of the old Corvette may of have had been worth looking into as they are quite highly desirable in the single cab configuration. The old Corvette as well mainly because they don’t make them any more. Have a good one!
Sam, keep the copart walks coming AND the selling price that's awesome. Since I started watching your channel i myself have perused coparts in my area which are 6 within a few hour drive.
The clear coat on those BMW carbon fiber roofs notoriously delaminates. My shop works on carbon fiber and we usually estimate around $900 to repair but the roof has to come off of the vehicle first. And to remove the roof ruins it, so we haven't done any lol.
Always impressed with your ability to weave a sponsorship into your scripts- seamless. I would go with the Vette. Sure, parts might be hard to fine, but mechanically so much more straightforward and basic.
So many motorcycle and classic scooter shops I know do their best work after midnight 🦉 No walk-ins No phone calls. Great talk through by both of you as usual 👏 👏
Sometimes I forget this is just an infomercial channel because there's actually automotive content as well. (I meant that as a joke BTW, because of your ability to seamlessly integrate the promos with the content, which takes talent). Also the dual clutch on my X3 BMW sucks, so a manual is definitely a bonus. I hope you bought the old Vette. The new one would make a great project though.
That vintage that was definitely the best thing you showed. I I love the sleeper hellcat. Cherry on top would be a Widebody. Can’t believe what that rolled over TRX went for. As well as the McLaren..both of them if you include the dust one.
Seems to be two main catagories of buyers for these - those that are looking for projects to re-build for personal use or profit, and those looking for cheap 'donor' vehicles for brake/suspension/running gear/interior/other upgrades on a lower spec' car.
My favorite part of the corvette is that triangle shaped piece missing from the hood. That’s where the fire department cut to open the hood, not realizing (or remembering) corvettes open the opposite way and you have to cut the hood near the windshield.
The C2 Vette 💯 Has to be a 65 or 66 (3 gills on the fender) Dad had one in the 70's & had to sell it back in the day to pay da bills. I still have the chrome shift knob from that car 40+ years later.
Forget the C8. Stay away from the supercars, Sam. Not enough profit margin and all that computer crap. Way too much headache. Do the old vet. Easy profit, and no headaches.
I saw your C4 corvette that Florida will not let you repair and reregister. When I was living in LA, one of my bosses purchased a totaled Porsche 911. He rebuilt the entire car, went to court to show it is road worthy. Porsche Corp tried to shoe up to court to protest, but they did not get to the correct court room. Since no one showed up to protest, the court granted my boss to get clean title from California DMV. You might try this way!
Oh, you were at Copart on 301? I live less than a mile from there. My nephew totaled his SRT 4 but he pulled the drivetrain and put it into a convertible PT cruiser.
6k for a 5.0 drivetrain and clean parts to sell to recoup sounds like the best deal to me. Pull the motor and put it in something and sell the shell as a parts car
When I was doing Copart auctions, I'd try to immagine exactly what happened to the badly damaged cars. There was a C7 Corvette with almost the entire driver's side ripped off. Did the driver survive?
The white mustang. In parts alone it's a win. Common car but plenty of buyers for the whole car or parts. The sleeper hellcat is a parts car but a great close second. With that I would use it as a donor car to upgrade a same year charger.
If you didn't know what works great on bad odors is a professional ozone generator. obviously if something died in the space you gotta get rid of the source. Then the ozone sterilizes the area. There is a srt 4. If I remember right. It’s in mint condition. 800 miles on it. It’s at a dealership near me. The dealer was trying to get 23,000 out of it. I might be a lil off in on the numbers. But would be willing to try to find the car again if your interested. It’s sitting on a show room floor . Dayton dealership . I seen it about a month ago on. I just don’t remember all the info
The best deal IMO was the Green BMW M3. What do you think the best deal was???
I LoL'd at your initial response to the suggestion that it had common parts bin parts to the standard 3 series.

What kind of idiot pays $1500 for a literal pile of ashes?
Indeed, what was the sale price on the 60’s corvette!?
I don't normally like the salvage yard videos but adding the final sold price for each vehicle definitely makes it more interesting.
Thanks for the feedback!

I love that you put the actual sale price. I always wonder what they end up going for.
