@@TheGravityShifter I get that, part of the intrigue of Fallout is the mystery of “who dropped the first bomb”, but I’ve kind of known all along who did it. There was a canceled Fallout TV show many years ago and in the original script they named who was responsible, and that was many years before Bethesda even owned the rights to Fallout. In Fallout 3 you can see an undetonated nuclear bomb that clearly has a logo on it that also pretty much indicates who did it. But again, I get your point.
We need mod size increased on consoles at least next gen, I know for example Ark survival ascended has a 20Gb mod limit on consoles so they can definitely increase it
@@Messiah38 Interestingly, one of the main issues preventing a mod storage increase with this update will be gone, that being needing a different application/version of the game on current-gen consoles. It'd be possible, especially on Xbox [since ZeniMax the Parent Company of Betehesda is owned by Microsoft, the owner of Xbox.],
the only mods that will break are script extender mods but most of those will be fixed in a week or still compatible using that alternate address script mod made for stuff like this so it shouldn’t be hard to keep on keeping on.
The Downtown Boston crashes are a major issue on all platforms. I've played through the game on last gen (Xbox One X) and current gen Xbox. Boston is infamous for crashing to the Xbox homescreen dashboard. I'm ready to head back into the Commonwealth on release day !
Ok, i guess ive got till the 25th to get my mod list set up. Great for console users(i uses to be one, so no shade here. Downtown was suffering), but there's nothing here worth breaking my game over. Especially now i actually have my list in a spot i could probably leave it and be happy. Plus bathesda doesn't have a good track record for actually fixing anything.
I was kind of hoping for like a Fallout 4 special edition not a patch cause it’s gonna take days or weeks for all the modders to update their content but also can we join the enclave in this mod or are they just an enemy
Finally! I was so happy to see this news. I've been waiting to play through FO4 again since I "finished" my last playthrough back in early 2023. Currently running through FO3 again and hope to have that finished by the 25th so I can do a fresh run of FO4!
For the little I know Bethesda, it seems to be wise to not get excited about this. They just say words, and they come up with a shitty refactor of something they already gave you 10 years ago.
It actually plays fairly well on Steam Deck as is, but I am still hyped about the update. I do mainly play on PC though. Just started a new playthrough with Exoclyps's A story wealth collection installed, 736 mods. So ya, I'm going to have to waite a while for the collection to be updated. I'm sure some mods will be dropped because they are not going to be updated anytime soon, but the best content should. It's Fallout London I am most looking forward to though. They were going to release on the 23'd, but they postponed to rework it for the update, they talked specifically about this in discord.
At first, when I saw the bird in the Enclave photo, I thought it was a scorchbeast in the distance, I was so hyped at the idea of them implementing Fallout 76 creatures into the game. It's a shame that's not happening, but this update still sounds pretty cool!
I use MO2 and already have automatic updates mostly blocked, so I can probably deal with whichever option the Fallout London team chooses. As far as the F4SE team working closely with Bethesda, I have to ask: if they're really that close, why hasn't script extender functionality been baked into newer games like Starfield? Or can we hope for that with TES6 or FO5?
Hi Lone, love your work mate!! I also noticed if you go into Add-ons in the main menu on PC that there is a section under High Resolution Textures COMING SOON.
I have used the disable updates in Steam forever in Skyrim, Fallout 4, and Starfield. It works fine as long as you don't make the mistake of clicking update or the launch button on Steam.

Loading times are quite fast with Series S/X already but new gen updates should make them even faster. But it depends on your device. With xbox one loading times were double.

I only watched your last video about this a couple of days ago, and pretty much agreed with the predictions you made. I’m very pleased you were wrong 🙏 as I am so looking forward to replaying this. I played it on release on PS4, replayed about half of it with FPS Boost on SeriesX (stopped when rumours started about a next gen update) and I’m very excited to restart it probably on my PS5 🙏
Yesterday I started to play fallout 4 again and it really needs this update. Just hope they have removed the loot restriction too. Half of my playtime allways goes to thinking what I drop since Im allways too heavy
One of my favorite mods for Fallout 4 is America Rising which is closest I got to experience joining the Enclave like I wanted during one of my runs of Fallout 3.
That 0kb bug on PlayStation is due to the Pink and Purple skins in the Creation Club. I had I happen to me, I removed ALL of the items I downloaded and added them back one at a time. It wasn’t until I downloaded those specific skins, that it started happening again.
@@wertnog6379 I beg to differ, because I tested it several times and it ONLY happened after those specific items were installed. I never got it without ANY cc stuff, and I never got it when those items weren’t downloaded. I’m not saying it can’t be something else, but it’s funny how the ONLY time I got that bug was with this items installed. That’s all I can say.
I love 4, and have played it for sooo many hours. But for the last couple of years, I've had so many issues with it freezing and crashing anytime I go anywhere near the "downtown" area that's super busy. And sometimes it happens randomly when there's almost nothing going on. But it's been A LOT and it's made it almost unplayable.. So I really hope this fixes that.
Oh silly man. I knew you were wrong when you said that. This drop is quite in line with what Bethesda has done in the past. So now I get to wait until the mods settle into the update (or not), and the unfortunate timing for London to also drop, but hey, lots of other games to play in the meantime. I am patient. I will get to finish SS2, try out Mind Games, America Rising, AND London. I am going to busy. If all that gets done, or I get bored, still have Witcher and Mass Effect to get back to, and Skyrim with a ton of new content. And, yes, still loving and playing Starfield.
The steam deck (oled) is absolutely worth it for fallout alone. I just got mine a couple weeks ago and have been playing various fallout titles nonstop (mainly New Vegas on ultra settings @ 90 fps)
Steam Deck oled player here.. bought FO4 today on sale for 5$ Never played the games before but I just finished the Amazon series and I want more lol worth a try Great to see they are giving the game verified status with the update
This is definitely a blessing for Console owners of the game, its not for PC players - I've already locked my ACF file to "Read-only" so I wouldn't get the update. I don't want any issues during launch of the Fallout London Mod when 2 days later the NEXGEN comes out. Nice free content, but its a little bit disappointing considering mods added FSR3/DLSS3 support into the game.
I need the long load screens when going outside fixed or it's not worth going back to. I have a higher end pc and waiting over a minuet to exit the museum of freedom is just to long.
I was hoping that 1. This would be a separate game from Fallout 4 (i.e. Fallout 4 Special Edition) that way it doesn't break mods and 2. A noticeable difference in graphics so that it looks much better. The Enclave quest and some free goodies like new workshop and weapon items are nice and I do want to try all of that stuff at some point but not at the expense of breaking my game that I've worked so hard to achieve. It's hard to say for sure, but hopefully this doesn't break absolutely everything that's out there now. The downside to having 2 seperate versions of the same game is that it splits the modding community's work (ex. old vs new Skyrim). So...I don't really like it either way but hopefully we don't all have to start from scratch with mods for Fallout 4.
I agree I really hope they fix the crashing and stuff downtown I've never had that issue on PS4 but when I upgraded to a series x I can't do anything downtown without it buzz freezing and then it crashes

I can't wait. Stil deciding whether or not to use my Xbox or PC to revisit Sanctuary. I'm about to dive back into Skyrim, again, on my PC in full 4k glory, no fast travel, no mods, no nothing. Looking forward to it.
The game was already One X enhanced to support 4k. FPSBoost makes the game run the original Xbox One code, therefore the drop to 1080p while 60fps, even on Series X. But, there's already a mod on xbox letting the game run at 4k60fps albeit not a perfect 60. I thought this update was going to let us have both 4k and 60fps (simultaneously) on Series X but since there are two modes and it says "up to 60fps" I suppose we're not getting that?
Thanks for info on this , its great that this is finally happing but I can only wonder how many great mods made years ago will now break as i do play on console, also does not sound like they are expanding space for mod content
I think bethesda should create a team for every ip that does nothing but make new content for their it's, call it not Canon, so that way they don't have a group of devs doing crazy stuff that changes the lore of the games. Or talk with modders and allow them access to voices actors on the bethesda payroll. Not every voice actor, but those VAs that work on every game. It would give those people more work/more pay, and make those mods or dlc not mess with being able to get achievements.
"Well crap" LOL Mods are going to break. In my Lets Play show I use 300+ mods, I fully expect my save to be corrupted and will have to start over for my show, if you mod any bethesda game you have to be used to this though.
Given how many people that were poached from the London team by Bethesda I would not be surprised that they already have made the appropriate patch necessary for the update.
My only wish was to unlock the FPS from the Physics engine, I know I can use mods to do that, but it would've been nice if it was "native" and i could use that mod spot for something else ;P
I also dont understand why people get pissed off about mods breaking. Like at least you have the ability for mods i understand its frustrating but dont update it until your mods are updated. Its honeatly not hard.
The problem is that this adds just about nothing at the cost of potentially breaking a lot of mods where the author dropped support for their mod. Had the update actually added something meaningful it might've been another story. It's not that hard to understand.
Bethesda really shouldn't have bothered announcing a next gen update last year, with how little it actually does, they shouldn't have even delayed it. They would have had better luck surprise dropping the update over announcing it like this, especially since it does fuckall in terms of making Fallout 4 a next gen experience. I say this having had my expectations super low to begin with, but my god the only thing it does is provide native support for current consoles, and provide creations support. Doesn't seem like high fps physics fix will come, no mention or showing of backports of the minor engine updates 76 made, etc. And it breaks mods and releases 2 days after London to boot. Bethesda isn't Rockstar games, they should not be quiet until things drop anymore, because they're sullying their reputation with things like this that they likely had ONE person work on SPARINGLY.
Is there a way to pause my updates on Xbox series x for this fallout 4 update? I’ve been doing a modded play through and would at least try to finish that before starting a new one with the update lol
based on what I seen of the Fallout London mod for FO4 whitch looks impressive IMO, I don't normaly download mods, but I would make an exception for Fallout London since I like to see more of the world in DLCs or mods in Fallout 4 insted of seeing more of the USA, its nice to see a part of my home country in mods like Fallout London whitch they done a realy good job recreating London England im the fallout world, so I'd be willing to wait a while longer for the team to fix what they need to for the mod to work after the new update comes out, the FOL team did a great job so far with the mod, I think they should wait till after the new update to launch the mod so they can fix isues the mod would otherwise have, I can wait for mod to launch but its the teams call
I just wanted native ray tracing and DLSS support on pc. I might have to dive back in with a bunch of mods installed. Also I highly recommend a steam deck, it’s an incredibly versatile device. Best $500 I’ve ever spent.

We need mod size increased on consoles at least next gen, I know for example Ark survival ascended has a 20Gb mod limit on consoles so they can definitely increase it
That up to the developers of your console not Bethesda
@@Messiah38 Interestingly, one of the main issues preventing a mod storage increase with this update will be gone, that being needing a different application/version of the game on current-gen consoles. It'd be possible, especially on Xbox [since ZeniMax the Parent Company of Betehesda is owned by Microsoft, the owner of Xbox.],

the only mods that will break are script extender mods but most of those will be fixed in a week or still compatible using that alternate address script mod made for stuff like this so it shouldn’t be hard to keep on keeping on.
A lot speculated they'd announce around the time of the Show's release. I'm hardly surprised but I expected it a little later I'll admit.
Oo well
@@punishedhek7495 guessing that’s a no but didn’t someone else release an enclave faction which also kind of overhauled the story
I'm glad they ate adding Ultrawide I understand there are mods but I've always had so many issues with it so glad they are adding it natively.
Same. You get your ultrawide mod all figured out and then the HUD is messed up or buttons are misaligned/text halfway off the screen 😂
I mean there’s a lot more leaked creation club stuff they haven’t added and didn’t mention in the next gen uptade so we could get more content
Fallout London will get my attention first.
Too bad they’re delaying it until all dependencies are fixed. I was really pumped about it too.
It would be nice if they included a bow and arrow in this weapons pack.
The game already runs at 4k30fps on Series X so what's so "next gen" about the Quality mode if there are no graphical improvements?
I’m so bummed there isn’t a graphical refresh, especially on PC
Been watching more of your content of late, Good to have an Aussie doing Bethseda RPG content. Subbed

I have an older version of Skyrim for my mods. The Script extender thing works with Steam for me for that. The "Update only when i run the program" But it will remove the game from your games list but its still there. Because it only shows games ready to play or updated to the latest patch. So it'll probably work for Fallout, I just set it up for mine. I got an ass-ton of mods on each and it sucks to redo it. 732 for Fallout and 530 Skyrim , 1130 Cyberpunk. (i used the Nexus mods collections) i didnt download each and everyone. Those people that have a crazy amount of mods and dont crash always impress me. I just clicked a button, its all automated.
does this update on pc will reduce loading time? it frustrate me to wait 2 minets loading just to enter/exit or fast travel.
Nvme drive in your PCIe slot
Loading times are quite fast with Series S/X already but new gen updates should make them even faster. But it depends on your device. With xbox one loading times were double.
I don’t have any performance issues on my series X so I want more space for mods
Can't even complete fo 4 due to the insane story breaking crash bug around diamond city, and it has not been fixed in over 9 years, I would like to know why we have the same crash bugs in fo 3,,4 and 76 especially in built up areas and let's not even mention the amount of crashes in fo76 events .
Just found you a few days ago but definitely glad that I did!! Great content and love the passion!

I wanted a camp build overhaul. Even just wallpaper or nice floors.
The steam deck (oled) is absolutely worth it for fallout alone. I just got mine a couple weeks ago and have been playing various fallout titles nonstop (mainly New Vegas on ultra settings @ 90 fps)

Never played the games before but I just finished the Amazon series and I want more lol worth a try
Great to see they are giving the game verified status with the update
Fallout 4 does have a 60fps mod on the Series X and I use it and it works pretty well.
Apparently the creator of America Rising 2 helped make the quest so it could be very good!
I just want more mod capacity on my Xbox, I don't mind starting a new game and waiting for new mods/ mod updates
It runs perfect on my ayaneo air pro 👌 why steam deck needs to have compatibility?
10:33 I can feel the excitement in his voice
I agree I really hope they fix the crashing and stuff downtown I've never had that issue on PS4 but when I upgraded to a series x I can't do anything downtown without it buzz freezing and then it crashes

They Definitely need to fix that 0 GB bug since it stopped me from using there mods
Hopefully it fixes the Tunnel Snakes CC quest soft locking the Minute Men quest
If it isn't a fixed as a bug, it's a feature. Will be interesting to see what they have actually done in terms of fixes/glitches
Good luck with your load orders, people
Fortunately, I use wabbajack. Automatic downgrades my portable mod list. Separate from the steam install
Sometime it updates even when you use different method to launch the game.
The problem is that this adds just about nothing at the cost of potentially breaking a lot of mods where the author dropped support for their mod. Had the update actually added something meaningful it might've been another story. It's not that hard to understand.
You know what else is coming on the 25th of April? Preston Garvey to show you which settlements need your help.
Yeah, I have an experienced any of those crashes in the downtown Boston area but I play on the steam deck so I’m not sure
Shoot 60 fps I booted this up in my newer built pc and it was saying unbelievably high fps and I was moving stupid fast. Hopefully that will be fixed.
Yea you gotta lower your hz to 120hz or 144hz, try 120hz, just do it in Nvidia control panel, idk what the amd is
Fps unlocked on nexus fixes the speed back to normal without capping fps. On console mod list fps unlocked locks at 60.
We need an Obsidian version of Fallout or Elder Scrolls to hold us over. This is ridiculous. Games take forever nowadays.
The game is already 4K 60 on new consoles with available mods.
Yeah but not in downtown boston, crashes are still a big problem- maybe not for you but alot of people still complain about it.
Is there a way to pause my updates on Xbox series x for this fallout 4 update? I’ve been doing a modded play through and would at least try to finish that before starting a new one with the update lol

I'm happy it's free. A port that really isn't overhauling anything should be free.
based on what I seen of the Fallout London mod for FO4 whitch looks impressive IMO, I don't normaly download mods, but I would make an exception for Fallout London since I like to see more of the world in DLCs or mods in Fallout 4 insted of seeing more of the USA, its nice to see a part of my home country in mods like Fallout London whitch they done a realy good job recreating London England im the fallout world, so I'd be willing to wait a while longer for the team to fix what they need to for the mod to work after the new update comes out, the FOL team did a great job so far with the mod, I think they should wait till after the new update to launch the mod so they can fix isues the mod would otherwise have, I can wait for mod to launch but its the teams call
"OH MY GOD ITS A QUEST I HAVENT READ THIS YET"
