I have the exact opposite issue. I have a standard "harp" lamp, but just got an Uno-style lamp shade. I need to know how to convert it so I can use the Uno lamp shade with my harp lamp.

If your shade is mounted from the middle (as in the mounting hole is in the middle of the shade), you can simply take out your harp and bulb put the shade over the socket and just screw the bulb in. If you have a top mounting shade, you can get a washer that fits over the round uno socket in the shade, then get one more smaller washer to screw the finial down into it.
Would it be pretty? No but nobody looks inside your lamp shade anyway.
By the way to the video creator, you should watch your videos before uploading, a lot of detail was cut off, and it's not DIY truly if you have to spend additional money, DIY is more like things already in your possession.

Couldn't see anything- out of frame- and still don't know how to attach this type of lamp shade... how do I NOW convert the base of the lamp too?

Agreed! The video work made it difficult to tell what was happening 😆

why would you call this a diy if you just bought a part for the lamp that’s not a diy
