    Actually I found the Blender very easy to learn just a bit but quite overwhelming to learn more.
    In my opinion the best way to learn Blender is to just start with a difficult project and learn on the fly how to do certain things. You'll spend a week or two making your first model, but after you finish you'll feel great because you made something that looks good and you'll want to make more and believe me, next models will look even better.
    It also helps to make models AND at the same time learn how to do something with them (for example mod them into games). This way learning will be much more rewarding.

    • @EyeMCreative
      @EyeMCreative 2 роки тому +70

      So I partially agree and disagree with this. I don't think you're very first project should be a difficult project because then you're just going to get frustrated and burnt out. Learn with BlenderGurus donut tutorial or something to get started and learn the interface.
      Once you've done that, then I think it's actually a fantastic idea to come up with a bigger project (maybe not intentionally going for difficult) for yourself that has smaller parts to complete. Then you can slowly work on it one model at a time and learn as you go. It's a good way to give yourself a motivation because you're learning while you slowly work toward an end goal.
      So yeah, creating a project is a great idea but it probably shouldn't be the very first thing that you do.

Only problem is after that I had no idea how to make literally anything else with whatever knowledge I got from that, the biggest issue was how to make any shape. That's when I just gave up. Every tutorial is approaching the subject wrong by just giving you information on various features.

      In Affinity I will sometimes just press shift and move the mouse expecting my brush size to increase when the hotkey is different there lol

      I constantly "shift-drag" value sliders in other programs to increase / decrease values more gradually... that is such a neat feature. It should be everywhere.

    I remember accidently deleting the default cube and I didn't know how to get it back, so I gave up.

    I remembered when I just transitioned from SketchUp. I got so confused how complicated things can be when it is so simple in Sketchup. But I realized after a year or so how feature packed it is. Now happily do all my works on Blender.

    Learning unity and blender at the same time was a real mind warp, swapping between the 2 my fingers were constantly pressing the wrong buttons

      I have this problem with using Premiere after Blender. What do you mean I can't right click to undo a value change?? Oh right, not in Blender.

      This is exactly why I wish there wasn't such a license struggle with the Blender game engines. I'm going to learn Blender and then learn Unreal, but the different key presses must be such a headache.
