I was a little confused when IMSA adopted the Mazda MX-5 Cup series a few years ago but now I know why. This series is by far the most exciting and competitive racing that I’ve seen anywhere in the world. Kudos to Imsa. What a brilliant marketing move. Respect to all of the drivers involved in this race . You proved that a group of cars can race bumper to bumper and not take each other out by making stupid,aggressive moves . I hope that every race is just like this one. IMSA and the MX-5 series rock !
Mx5s at Daytona is marked on my calendar every year. As others have said, some of the best racing out there, in any series. So happy to have radio le mans back this year too.
Great Racing by all drivers, straight driving almost a hour in drafting nonstop is something that even the most experienced NASCAR drivers cant manage to do that easy, and that without the road course part included
First time watching this series. Highly impressed with the driver's! If this was NASCAR they would have crashed at least twice coming to checkers. New fan of this series. Thanks IMSA!

I know these Mazda cars have a top speed of 125 miles per hour and 180 horsepower. A Cup car has at least 550 horsepower at a road course and a top speed of about 200 miles per hour at an oval. However, I watch NASCAR all the time. I like seeing something different every once in a while. I love the sound these Mazda cars make. I also think these cars are visually pleasing.

You can't be serious, dude. The speed difference is enough to tell you why it's easier to draft with Miatas.
@johncarl5505 I am sure the speed is similar to truck series, and in truck series often happen crashes
