Reminds me of the murders in Chuck-E-Cheese. A guy shot 5 ppl, killing at least a few. (I’m not sure how many survived.) One of the victims was shot in the jaw. He played dead as the murderer left and targeted the others. When the killer left, the victim called the police and the man was soon arrested.
At least he had the mercy to make sure everyone was dead and wasn't suffering.
On top of that probably confused as all fuck why his brother would do such a thing

Years later it still bothers me. That lack of a motive is perhaps the most disturbing and vexing aspect to me.
Exactly. I just want to know what this “breaking point” was. So far it seems like, most likely, he was excited about this new job and hyped it up in his head and to his fans, then it turned out the job sucked or the coworkers sucked. But I’d hardly call a sucky job or even an objectively awful job a true breaking point for someone like him, especially when he had a successful UA-cam career to fall back on if his original dream of working in the industry didn’t pan out.
It just doesn’t make sense, and what did killing a randomly selected 70+ victims have to do with his disappointment at work? Was he like “Fuck I hate my job all these people are assholes, I should drive my car through my old high school cafeteria to kill as many 15-year-olds as I can.”
I just don’t get it man. Obviously no homicides are justified, but I can’t even pin down a motive for this guy. While I can’t generally portray people as one-dimensional bad guys, I genuinely think that this guy just had a few screws loose and idolized violence.
Likely saw his movie maker actor career was going nowhere and his passion for guns and obsession with serial murders and how they are sensationalized and wanted a movie to be made about him. Same motivation as other killers, their are not happy with their lives and want to kill themselves but feel they are not leaving a mark on the planet by excelling at something , and easiest way to get notoriety fast and be on tv is by shooting up a large group of innocent people.
@@starkistuna idk about that. His youtube channel was growing steadily at that point if I remember correctly. If it was just for ego surely he would've waited till he had like a million subs and really solidify his infamy.
Another video or two on him described how his mental health was deteriorating and he was getting drunk for videos a lot more. This video makes it seem like it came out of no where, but other videos, imo, more accurately describe how he was very obviously unwell.

@RipMudafuka69 MLG Well leading cause of death for minors is car accidents (465k yearly total death toll in America, but not just teens) vs total gun deaths yearly (35k, and like 5000 is actual violence, 500 being mass shootings), America allows them to drive 3 years before they're allowed to buy a gun... As someone who bought a gun two months after his 18th birthday, I find your insinuation to be... Insulting, to say the least. I agree that something should be done about the violence, but America DOES NOT give guns to teenagers... Plus this guy, I'm not sure if I missed something, but he had a handgun, so I'm fairly certain he was 21 at the minimum, because you have to be 21 in the vast majority of the US to get a pistol.

That he thought of this and did not want them to live through that shows that there's good in everybody, and I think that's beautiful, even if he was coldblooded enough to, at least want to kill so many people.

well the whole planning aspect can easily be explained with his "it was all too real" quote. He was able to ruthlessly plan this all out not because of his lack of empathy, but just the simple fact that he had distanced himself from the idea. Might've even just been something he planned for a little morbid fun that eventually ended up going way too far resulting in it "becoming too real". Whatever it is, he definitely isnt a sociopath unless he's faking his empathy in order to appeal to the public which in that case he'd probably be more psychopathic since he doesnt seem to have any history of trauma or abuse.
What confuses me is that he previously stated that he was against gun violence. If he was, why would he plan out something like this.

While there are plenty of people with schizophrenia that are particularly harmless, there are some, particularly paranoid schizophrenics, whose episodes may cause them to become violent, hostile, and/or willing to kill someone who they may be extremely paranoid about. These types are often portrayed in media (i.e. CSI, Criminal Minds, some Batman villians such as the Mad Hatter, etc.), which may be a cause for the stigma.

I'm sure there's some media that describes the struggles schistzophrenics go through, especially those revolving around psychology.
In my eyes, he wasn't mentally ill and even if he was there's no signs of it being caused by such. I feel he was angry at a lot of things at once, which is why he planned revenge. And within a blind rage he killed he's family, which is why he go's into shame, confusion, and fear when he came back from the rage. He reacted like any scared 'animal' would do, he bite back when he felt threatened.
I feel like everyone is joking about this as a strange coping mechanism. As humans, we don’t know how to deal with uncomfortable situations, so we just deal using humor. I’m not in any way defend nor condoning him, but everybody has the ability to snap. I feel like while it was hard to notice, if the slightest intervention had been done, this might have been avoided. As someone who experienced the typical criminal trauma, bullying etc, I would absolutely never. He honestly seems like he feels guilty, which he definitely should. I’m just glad that they were able to arrest him so nobody else would get hurt

The fact that I almost got through this. My brother tried to kill my parents with a gun during the night, but he didn't succeed and had to flee. He's in prison now, but would I be dead if he succeeded ? My mother lost her arm too because the wound was there and too bad, the blood wasn't going in there anymore. I didn't even hear the gunshot, just a scream and I thought it was a nightmare until I saw my father calling the french equivalent of 911 in front of a pool of blood. But it's over. It's over now. I still don't know how he would do that, even if our parents are clearly not the best ones. I have a lot of mental issues because of them, I have a treatment and I'm a waste, but killing ? That's too much. Not a solution.

From what I could find watching his videos and reading the web, I get the feeling that he was a nice guy, only a bit weird. The fact that he didnt go throught his mass shooting, the declarations he made including saying thst he loved his family, make me conclude that he was mentally ill and sadly didnt get the right treatment
I thought the exact same thing. Something to note about most people who undergo these types of events is that they're either very stoic or they have dead eyes. And I'm not talking about like "I work in retail so I hate my life" kind of dead, I'm talking about, like lifeless and emotionless even when they smile type of look.

This story always disturbs me.
A man who simply loved to review anime and make short films, got job for a production company and had a good life. Who could've predicted he had a mass shooting plan all this time? And the real question is, why did he do it? What were his motives?
We'll probably never know because from what I've seen , there's clearly no motive.
To this day, I still remember the anime community being shocked at this ordeal.
It's really not as complicated as you think it is. Serial killers do what they do because they're predators underneath it all, and don't really see humans as worthy of equal treatment, more like playthings.
In the case of spree shooters, it's a little different. The one thing all spree shootings have in common is that, they clearly don't have any long-term goals in mind. They're insecure, neurotic attention whores that have grown tired of wallowing in perpetual mediocrity. Better to just burn it all up in a fireworks display that lasts anywhere from 40 minutes to 5 hours (on average). They want to go out in a blaze, because they know it's the fastest way to become famous.
Really underwhelming, I know. But it really is that simple. I'll admit though, it's very unusual to have a spree shooter turn himself in, or surrender to the police, or whatever it was that led him to being taken in alive. That's typically not supposed to happen, spree shooters do NOT like being taken in alive.

People are naturally curious, given she made a pretty big deal about her leaving (and did _not_ call it a break, it was meant to be permanent), never gave a reason for such a sudden dramatic decision (at least not here on UA-cam, and not everyone is going to go seek out her Twitter or blog or whatever), and then came back and acted like nothing happened at all. That said, yes, a lot of people are being assholes about it. But it's all coming from a completely natural curiosity or even concern from some people. So it's not really surprising. As for "no wonder Reignbot wanted a break"... uh, what? It's not like she was getting comments like that before she decided to quit. I'm pretty sure her fanbase had nothing to do with it.

Hi Point handguns are not "Good" by any stretch of the word, and they're not all that much cheaper than Glock or Smith&Wesson which are both great. Just save up an extra $80-100 and you can get a much nicer gun.
Sammyboy7266 Glocks and S&W 9mm handguns are not $80-$100 more expensive, more like $150-250, depending on model. The standard Hi-Point 916 has an MSRP of $199. Of course either is a better gun (even Glocks, which I have a very low opinion of), but as I said, some people literally can't afford to drop more than $200 on a handgun.
Moreover, how is the Hi-Point "not 'Good' by any stretch of the word"? Most of what I've read and seen shows it to be a handgun with good reliability, good sights, and reasonable accuracy for it's price point. The only real complaints I've seen against it are very basic controls and low magazine capacity.
Calvin_Coolage have you ever personally handled a hi point? And you've heard GOOD things about their reliability? That's odd. They're kinda known for being unreliable and inaccurate. They also handle like a Lego in the hand. Also, prices vary on location, and a used S&W is superior to a new hi point.

This reminds me so much of an incident that happened to a friend of mine. Considering it was right around the same time, I can't help but wonder if it is the same person she was referring to.
One day in writer's club, this friend / crush of mine asked to share something that was on her heart. Our small group listened as she explained how a friend of hers had recently murdered his whole family. She was, of course, in tears and explained how he was on the news and how she didn't understand why. She quoted him, saying that he confessed 'it was like a video game.' She went on to say that he was a good friend of hers. "Everyone on the news sees him as a monster. But he isn't like that. He's sweet and kind." It really gave me a different perspective, and while I don't sympathize with the killer nor condone his actions, it made me realize that she obviously knew a different side of him than everyone else did. Because we were all Christians, we gathered in a circle and prayed for her one-by-one. I'm not sure if it was the same story or not, but it does sound eerily similar.

Anyways, this video gave me chills honestly. I feel bad for the circumstances and really wish there was a more honest and better way to make people realize how important mental Illness is. I’m so glad that no one else was hurt and it’s sad to think his family just woke up and thought it would be a normal day..

I have several massive problems myself, and I fail to see why, with no evidence, people again wish to pin the blame on a mental illness. Doing so takes away accountability, and also further stigmatizes mental illness, which becomes a cycle:
Besmirch the term 'mental illness' by wrongly blaming all mental illnesses as the cause of violence, and then point to the societal perception of 'mental illness equals violence' as justification for blaming it.
All despite the facts clearly standing contrary.
I can't find any definitive proof that he had an illness; only vague mutterings that don't specify what he supposedly suffered from.
A crime scene investigator is not qualified to make statements regarding diagnoses, either, which is why I'm appalled that such a person was quoted in some articles, saying that he was "appearing delusional". How on earth does one appear delusional?
Not to mention that delusions are namely bizarre, fantastical, or persecutory in nature, and there's no reason any such delusion would drive people to commit acts of mass violence for no reason. Had he been delusional, he would've made it clear by talking candidly about the delusions, since to a delusional person, it is simply their reality.
The other massive issue is how people have equated poor mental health to mental illness. These are two starkly different concepts. A person can be physically in poor health without having a disease, for example. If he was bullied, he was indeed likely to have had poor mental health, which can definitely lead to any number of poor decisions.
I think people are misattributing the problem in this particular case (as they often do).
Apologies for being long-winded, but boy, this is a constant issue with true crime.
@The Sans what I mean is America just doesn't give people with mental illness help. Many prisons in America have inhumane practices. For example, solitary confinement, this punishment Is given out like homework in school. And solitary confinement just makes it worse. In my opinion, prison shouldn't be just punishment but a facility to rehabilitate criminals.
