Noticed your rod holder strap on your bait tank. Do y’all happen to sell those or know where I can get one? I’ve been looking for a while and having a hell of a time finding one. Thx.
Thanks for the Info you made it easier to understand.. When you hook up the planer board clip releases and where you cork screwed the line thru stops at the leader connection? Do you recommend a brand of boards for a beginner? Thanks again
If I'm following your question we run a bead above the swivel at the leader that prevents the board from sliding all the way down to the bait when you hook a fish. Of course I have to self promote but if I had to suggest boards to some one I'd suggest the ones I sell on the website www.skunkofftackle.com/product-page/10-x-5-planer-board www.skunkofftackle.com/product-page/7-x-4-planer-boards
Awesome. Video… learning to use planner boards. Did you have a sinker on the line? Also, when you set 15ft of line did that mean your bait is at 15ft? Thanks
It depends. We do sometimes use a weight to hold them down. In this case it was what we call a "free line". 15ft of line behind the board and the bait can swim at whatever depth they want
That is incorrect. Clear boards have the foam only on one side which makes them want to flop over at low speeds and until they are far enough away from the boat to grab. All planer boards are similar.

I got them made. Found a guy on one of the striper fishing Facebook groups.
@@yotasteve Thanks. It’s probably the guy I have already contacted. He said his machine broke and is no longer making them.

They look exactly like clear boards with different line clips
