Here is some psychobily rock for you. My bass cover of "Goo Goo Muck" by The Cramps from their 1981 album "Psychedelic Jungle".
I heard this the other day on the radio and always thought this was a cool song, so I figured I would do a bass cover of it. One problem, there is no bass on the song. The Cramps original lineup did not include a bass player. I checked around UA-camland and there are other bass covers out there, each interpreting the bass a little differently. I decided to keep it simple and follow the rhythm guitar and play the roots. It's an easy one and a fun one to play along to. The verse is E-D and then A-G and the chorus is B-A. Enjoy and if you like, please subscribe.
Best if listened with headphones.

Hello, Thomas. I come from Kyle Castro's channel. Great performance. Congratulations. New sub.
Thank you so much Roger! I am so humbled and honored by Kyle's post. Thank you for visiting and subscribing to my channel. I appreciate the support. 🙏🏻
SWEET! Garage Punk at it's finest!
Thanks Jeanne!! I appreciate the comment and support. Thanks for watching!
Haven’t checked the cramps out but have heard of them. What a great bass line and that tone is sublime mate. Really enjoyed listening to this one. More cramps please! ❤
Thanks Neil!! Hmm, I think this may be the only Cramps song I know. This one used to get a lot of play in the clubs and on the radio and I've always loved it. I heard it the other day on the radio and had to learn it. It's a fun one. I'm real happy with the tone I got for this - some compression and a pick. It fits the rockabilly vibe of the song. Thanks for watching and for the support. I appreciate it.
spot the tiger at the back
Haha, nice!! Fantastic eye to spot the tiger. I hadn’t noticed that. Perfect timing by my cat. 🐈 Thanks so much for watching and leaving a comment. I appreciate it.
Nice cover! The Cramps’ bass tones (once they actually got a bassist) were badass. Candy Del Mar’s tone on their RockinnReelininAucklandNewZealandXXX album is to die for, especially on their cover of Heartbreak Hotel.
Thanks so much for the comment. I appreciate the support. And thanks, I’ll have to check out some of The Cramps later material.
Great song! Awesome performance! Have a nice week Thomas!
Thank you so much Raquel! This is one cool song. Thanks for watching and for the kind words!
Love those Laklands. Sounds amazing. My Lakland is on the way, delivery on Monday! And too funny that your cat makes a prowling appearance at “I’m a teenaged tiger looking for a feast” 😂😂😂
Thank you so much for watching and for the kind words. Haha, yeah, someone else pointed that out about the cat showing up at that lyric 😂 I hadn't noticed.
Oh man, Lakland makes a great bass. I used to play Fenders until I got my first Lakland, the DJ-4 that's in the back. I now own 3. The other one is a 44-64 fretless. So are you getting a 44-02? Is that going to be your first Lakland?
Man, I love mine. This is my first active bass and it took a while to grow on me and get comfortable with all the tonal options. Now I can dial in any tone I want. It's a fantastic bass to record with. It's dead quiet, mine is about 8.6 lbs, balances really nicely and has some nice punch. Oh, and of course the neck. Just feels so comfortable. Let me know what you are getting and your first impressions when it arrives. And if you are on Talkbass.com, join us in the Lakland Owners Group. Cheers!
Love those bass line my dear friend Thomas!! Excellent bass performance of yours!!

@@thomasfioriglio Your friend "Taku" is not the same person as me. But I am your new friend :D haha thanks!
@@TAKFULLHOUSE5150 Well, now that is two musician friends I have in Japan. 😃
Maaaan fantastic job with this bassline! You totally made the song your own and there's absolutely NO WAY that there's a better bassline out there for this song. You provided that low bedding for the rhythm guitarist (and the rhythm section in general) and it just made the song feel complete. Fantastic playing and your tone as always is to DIE for. I love how you always manage to get a fat, punchy tone with just the right amount of crispiness, man. Beautiful work. BASS ON!
Thanks so much Dani!! This was a fun one to play. And I didn't know there was no bass, so it was cool to see where the bass could work on this. I thought simple was better and let the guitar play the cool licks, rather than mimic them. And so much of the tone comes from the Zoom B1Four. Such a great little unit, that I can find pretty much anything I am looking for in terms of tone. Thanks for watching!! BASS ON!!!
Well said Dan. This is best bassline I have heard. I just started playing the bass 6 months ago and I am learning so much from this video.
SWEET! Garage Punk at it's finest!
Such a good song! I was surprised to learn there is actually no bass on it. The Cramps did not have a bass player. Thanks for watching and for the comment. I appreciate it. !
