You’ve never done the German Twisted cast on???? You need to. It’s so easy, it’s so stretchy, it’s basically the only cast on I ever do anymore because it works for everything, looks neat if it’s showing on the garment…I just love it so much lol
I haven’t!!! Now you’ve got me excited to try!!!!
Andrea Mowry's is hands down the best tutorial btw. I never use long tail cast on any more.
@@akaNoraKnitsit’s the only cast on i use, so stretchy, so beautiful!
Yes, absolutely! Please share on the channel what you think, because if you're like me you'll fall in love! @@akaNoraKnits
Ditto!
I think M4Y might stand for Made for You. Great round up! Thanks!
Nora- you are learning fast! And beautiful results! Love all of them so far! Try a few baby items for shower gifts for friends- you will love doing them In between your larger projects.
Thank you!!!!
Nora!!!! Same vibe here, after knitting a Cumulus blouse o neck for a winter wedding on December in a beautiful petrol blue metallic yarn I had so many leftover skeins that I put the “Jet Set pants” by Park Williams on my Ravelry queue…I’m totally into this stylish lady from the 30’s vibe. Cropped shiny and drapey blouse and wide leg long trousers, I want to be that lady 😂💄
I want to be that lady!!!! Let’s be that lady!!!!
Oh I’m so all over the Hoodie Set! And the last set with the Ruffle!!!
Right?!?! I need more time to knit 😂😅
Love these very fun patterns - I’m all about relaxing in something comfy at the end of my day - if I hadn’t just come back from the store I’d be making the Hush Hoodie and Roger Trousers - they are up next though so they’ll be ready for fall! I live in Portsmouth but lived in Simsbury and worked at The Hartford for 15 years - thank you for bringing us so much knitting joy!
I love the Nord sweater and pants by Hanne Rimmen❤
Loved most of these! The ruffles are sooo fun!!! Thanks Nora!
🌴☀️ Ohhh I really enjoyed this one…such a relaxed pattern/inspiration roundup🎊 I love it because it’s practical, things I’d actually wear. I love that pencil skirt set so much and those pants that are based on your size…brilliant. And guess what…..your new video is coming out in a few moments what a gold mine for me today yippieee ki yeaaaaaa🎉🎊🎉 thanks again Nora☀️🌴
Look at you all ahead of schedule! Hahah….thank you!!!! I wish I had all the time in the world to make each and every one of these sets!!
Nora!! You just made my day with this episode--on a Tuesday! I slept poorly, trying to get my day going, and now I get your company while I work on wedding gowns (I'm a seamstress).
Aw yayyy! I am so happy to hear that! Thanks for being here 🥰
Keep up the good pattern finding. I am so ready for some pants and new knits. Going to be checking out some of your suggestions.
Ooh, the M4Y pants are sooooo good. I'm very tempted!
Thanks for the fun round up. I have my eye now on the bulky weight Niki sweater. I'm away on the coast of Scotland end of May and I think it could be great for breezy coast walks in the evening. Thanks for the spot of that pattern!!😄
Some fun ideas here, Nora. I plan to make the Cloverdale set. In multiple colors if I find the knitting fun enough! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!!!! I hope to get around to the same!!!
I LOVE your graphics. I have been admiring for a while and just had to tell you.
Thank you so much!! 🥰
I agree! They’re adorable!
Ok, so one of the other days I saw a photo of a gorgeous set pop up in my Pinterest, think classic navy with creamy hems, and I was so disappointed that it was not a knitting pattern of a set, it was just an ad of non-knitted items. And now here comes your video! 🤯 kismet!
I love when that happens!!!
I've had my eye on the marled mania leggings from Stephen West for ages, maybe I need to revisit those! You might have convinced me 😅
I've definitely had my eye on a couple sets by Jessie Maed. Mostly shorts because Australia.
You're video just changed all my knitting plans for this year 😂 I want to knit every single thing you mentioned, even the sets you paired yourself 😊
Hahahaha right??? I want to throw all other intentions out the window and just knit sets for the next year 😅
So much fun, Nora😂
Thank you so much 🥰
Hi Nora! Great round up! While the most I would consider knitting as a set is a scarf / cowl and beanie, I was happy to be reminded of the Caspar blouse, which has been in my favorites for a while and for which I would have the perfect stash yarn in the right quantity. It may just be one of my next cast ons.
I love that idea too! I think I need some matching accessories in my life! Ooooh I love that you were reminded! Please let me know if you wind up knitting it! It’s so beautiful!
Thank you for another super well researched episode! I never considered knitted pants and probably never would do them but what fun to see what the "fashionable people" are up to! Love your graphics and enthusiasm and it always makes my day when I see you have another episode up. Would love to see the same type of rundown for anything that you come up with. I do believe I am actually learning to think about styling an outfit instead of throwing on whatever falls out of the closet. Miracles never cease!
I love a pattern roundup almost more when it’s out of my comfort zone! Thank you so much for watching 🥰 honestly, hearing that makes my day! A good outfit can get you anywhere!
Great video, thank you, I never thought of knitting sets before! Also, your theme tune is waaayyyy too catchy, i keep signing it too myself around the house, my boyfriend thinks i'm going crazy 😂
Hahahahahaha I have to agree 😂 I constantly find myself humming it! lol I’m glad this helped you think outside of the box!
It's a great theme! I am 100% going to be making the Niki set 😍 @@akaNoraKnits
Yey I love Pickles! I actually test knitted the Hippi drop shoulder for them, and it's one of mye favourite knits ever!
Omg they have the coolest stuff!
Beautiful and original suggestions !!! You're right, we have to keep our mind open when we discover a new pattern, and I love the way you present them all. ❤❤❤
I’m here to inspire a little creativity! Thank you!!
Fantastic episode! Thanks for all your hard work😊
Thank you for noticing!!! 🥰
This was fun! I really appreciate all the research you put into all of your videos. I definitely want some of these sets. Happy knitting 💚🧶💚
Thank you so much 🥰 I'm struggling to pick just one myself 😅
Pure Awesomeness Nora. Gracias
Great round up! I've been looking at skirts! And to reference a previous video, I definitely wouldn't use mohair in a skirt!
Hahaha most definitely! Thank you!!
Kutovakika has made a couple of “bonnet” patterns that don’t look so old-fashioned. Still…not making one myself. 😂😂😂. She’s so adorable she can rock anything!!
I was just watching this for fun, wasn’t really interested in knitting a set…and then you showed that Rogers set and…I must…as soon as possible, I need it
Right!!!!!!! It’s just coolest girl energy!
Absolutely! And I LOVE a sporty vibe! It's funny, before I started knitting (about the same time as you actually lol yay one full year!) I didn't think I liked stripes that much, but I have learned I absolutely ADORE them, so fun to learn more about my style
Great episode. Thank you for all of your hard work. Hello to Osi.
That Casper Blouse is gorgeous! I'd love to knit that one up!
Oohh i love sets! 2 sets that arents on your list/bundle that i think would be hita are the Jet Set by Park Williams and the cable crush joggers/sweater by knitatude
I must look! Thank you!
Thank you so much as always, very interesting and informative
Thanks for watching!!
Thank you so much for this video! Your inspo videos are my favorites because your style is so individual and different than mine :)
Thank you so much!! 🥰
Hahaha 😆 'you know...we all keep to ourselves...'
We can dream.👍
Hahahaha it’s so true though!!!
I’m in love 🥰 definitely knitting up the cloverdale set! It’s a perfect addition for my wardrobe ❤
Ooooh I can’t wait to see!
I love your vision of the Niki Column skirt! Knit it up for us Nora! 🖤
Right?? I have to see if I have anything suited for it in stash!
Ohhhhhh my!!!! The Hush set is a must in my life ❤❤!!! Thank you for sharing these and creating this UA-cam
Right?? So cozy!
@@akaNoraKnits yessssss
Omg! Haha! Love the Nora billboard! You are so good 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Hahahahaa come and get your fries and milkshakes! I’ll be off exit 5! 😂
😂😂😂💕
So I have hopped on the sets train and now have the pattern for the Flutter Buttset by Jessie Maed Designs. I have stash yarn that I am going to use. ❤❤
Oooooh I must look!!!!
Made 4 You! I just got it. whew, that was a tough one. Love the pants
I didn’t even get it until y’all did! Hahaha-me too!!
For the m4yknit pants i think it’s “may” bcoz the 4 looks like an “a” but idk tbh
I could not imagine forcing myself to knit a matching set. Knitting a simple short sleeve sweater is testing my patience, let alone both a top and skirt.
To each their own! Hahaha…I could happily be wrapped up in one big set!
I love the head to toe knit skirt/tunic. Many years ago I wore a RTW wool set on an autumn trip to Ireland. Dark olive, allover chunky rib. The most comfortable travel clothing and great with boots. Wish I still had it.....maybe recreate something similar in my current size?
Oh my goodness that sounds DIVINE! I think you definitely need to make one!
This is such a cute pattern roundup! I LOVE the matching knitwear trend, but not in the market for knit bottoms at the moment, so my knitting plans for the fall include a matching cardigan and tank
I LOVE that idea!!!! I feel like I would love a Cardi, tank and skirt set for myself!
Eh not sure i will be going for these but it was fun to look!
I get that!! It’s not for everyone!
This feels like a trend that is specifically for Scandi fiber people or Canadians because there's no way it would ever get cold enough in the southern half of the US to wear an entire knit set.
It would be fun to play around with different fibers to create something better suited to different climates!
❤️
My best guess is that M4Y stands for Made for You!
Omg! You are brilliant!!!!!
Great video. I bought Pom Pom Magazine for the Fortuna set. I’m certain I won’t make it this year. Maybe we could do a knit along next year❤
I am considering purchasing the digital download for the same reason!!! I love that idea!
M4Y
Is that made for you?
I LOVED this❤❤
I was thinking the same thing!
I think you guys are right!!!
check out andrea mowry's traveler hoodie
Oooh yes that’s been in my favorites for a while!
I started watching thinking that I wasn’t super interested in the topic. Am totally sold and am now scheming about my yarn choices for the M4Y pants…probably meant to be “made for you”?
I’m thinking a dark Boucle or knit picks wonderfluff!
Omg this makes me the happiest 🥰
That would be so so cozy!!
Coverdale Set 🎉❤
Roger…stripes…jailbreak! (Sorry!)
Oh noooo hahahaa i can see it! But the Cloverdale set is a clear standout!
Alternatively M4Y could also be Me for You!
Must be made for you? right? That's my best guess! :)
Exactly!! 😉
Love your videos. But hoenestly the KI generated graphics are waaay too much for me.
Thanks for watching!
❤
