i think the transportation being instant is just demo, because i can just imagine how it makes a lot of things obsolete, multiple water tanks, strategically placed storages
For the instant transportation thing, it's probably just the demo. That said, sometimes game studios does things like this with demos to see if people like it or not. Think of it as a trialing things before the end product is "shipped" as it were. If players like this or that feature in a demo they might go ahead with it, and if it's not well received, they can drop it.
Takes an awful lot of development dollars to redesign an entire logistics system so close to release. Would be surprising to learn they’ve not already planned the core functionality to be as it will be for release already, and are pending feedback from a demo.
@@CharliePryor It's not the norm, no, but I've seen it happen with some games in the past as far demos go. Or it could simply be that the demo is a different build than the release version, and that is pretty common afaik.
I am pretty new to this genre, I have some Civ 6 experience but other than that not much in a very long time. I like the idea of post apocalyptic story versus the common medieval types. I saw that Endzone 1 is on steam sale so definitely checking it out (and your playlist)
It seems to have swung from Banished over to a more Anno like gameplay. The logistics is more about island to island specializations, (given that research is locked behind a settlement gaining enough points and natural resource limitations) especially with there being multiple zones and settlements now. That could explain why the in-settlement logistics are cut out, to concentrate on large scale goods transport via your fleet of cars.
As long as they have changed/added a lot of new features in Endzone 1 - I'll look to EZ2. It seems like they have at least done some new features. I liked the instant transportation of goods but I would rather a bal;ance of that, say only when you intially start a settlement it does that.
To me, ENDZONE was set up as a challenging survival city builder that offered a race for survival through the mid game. Without requiring citizens to transport goods to build sites, and build the sites, this turns into a city painter. I’m significantly less interested in a painter.
@@CharliePryor Agreed, my desire (if you will) would be like Banished mode of "easy" where it spawned your initial buildings in for you. However, as that used to be actually worse than starting medium (where no houses were built), I would tweak that for say 5 "free" buildings where its premade to get you going a bit quicker into the action.

I sincerely hope so. It ruins the game if this is how it will be, IMO
Thank you for playing!

Endzone will definitely lose it's charm if they don't fix the transportation thingy.... otherwise it'll completely ruin the difficult gameplay of EZ
It has to be a demo thing. Just has to be. Game is completely destroyed if it does this in the final version. Won’t even make a series on it if true.
Looks kind of fun. Reminds me a little of New Cycle, and that Infection Free Zone you were playing.
I was JUST thinking of watching the s1 but this popped up! Now I'm going to watch this!!❤

It has to be for the demo. If it’s like this in the final version I likely won’t bother playing it
Looks OK so far, a pretty interesting game.
I like this one.
So will there still be combat in the exploration parts and if so will it be turn based?
There was never any combat in Endzone
@@CharliePryor mistook this for another very similar game where you had to explore and fight. My bad.
🎉
