Fantastic video! There's so much to love about this character. His story is good, voice actor is perfect, his animation is smooth (if repetitive). How you learn more about him throughout the game and then the DLC is interesting. This DLC also explores religion in an interesting way in the post-apocalypse. And the setting is beautiful.
Joshua Graham was a companion character in Interplay's cancelled Fallout 3 project, codenamed Van Buren. Back then, he was known as The Hanged Man, and the player character would find him swinging from gallows, somehow still alive. Having him in the party was a double edged sword, because while he was one of the strongest companions in combat, his bad reputation made interacting with most factions Much harder. This would later be revealed to be due to his former status as a high ranking member of Caesar's Legion. New Canaan (Jericho) would have also played a role, but it's not known what that would have been. In short, part of the reason he's such a well written character, is because Obsidian had a long time to work on him. He survived being cremated, and he survived creative oblivion.

I love the parallels between Joshua Graham and Paul the Apostle in the new testament. Both were former monstrous executioners up until they endure life changing injuries ( Joshua being set on fire and thrown down a canyon and Saul being blinded). Both Joshua and Saul having been reborn by their injuries and aware of the horrible deeds they have done try to atone for their sins by becoming God fearing Christians and preaching the good news. Good on fallout devs for that!
There is also the connection between him and the parable of the farmer’s two sons. Both him and the son left home and returned in shame. But they were still met with love from their families.

before the White Legs entered Zion, they had lived in peace, never having to kill another human being in self defense, and that's what worried him, it's not the matter of killing, it's the manner of killing. to do so in defense and protecting your home is good and just, but to do so in anger and without mercy would encourage them to be bloodthirsty. this is why it all hinges on what happens between Joshua Graham and Salt Upon Wounds, they must be shown that you can show compassion and mercy while defending their land, as Salt Upon Wounds has learned to fear the Dead Horses AND the Sorrows, especially Joshua. this is where the storytelling in HH is lacking, because they dont explain this part, they hastily had to finish up and couldnt refine that bit.@@BrBetim

The one and only character that has a great depiction of religion in media. He always seems to have this: "hey, I would love it if you would follow the word of god as I do, but as long as you love your fellow men i'm happy." Energy to him. Fierce in his beliefs but not zealotous, not in the least.
I don’t mean to force anything on you, but reject lust and fake love; fear God and you will experience *real love*. We must stay focused, brothers. We must stay focused. Brothers, what have we done. look at us. look at what we've become. This isn't right. we're wasting time going on about girls and sus drawings that don't give a f*ck about us. What is the point of lust? Why do we do this? This doesn't fix our problems, doesn't make the stress and pain go away. Also, cool story: the videos you see are actually people being manipulated and raped. It’s not what you think it is. It is NOT consensual. Imagine if that happened to your mother, sister, cousin, friend, girlfriend, wife, etc. Don’t indulge in these sinful acts the devil tempts you to do. He has ruined everything. My life, my friends and family’s lives, EVERYTHING in all aspects. Please. Don’t folllow him. He’s called “the father of lies” for a reason (John 8:44 KJV). Whatever you think he’s promising you, he’s going to stab you in the back. Trust me. I wanted love, instead I delved into sexual desires. At 7 years old I didn’t know what I was doing, but as I got older, I understood what I was doing. But it was too late. It became a habit. At 16, God made me better, but the actions still haunt me, and I still mess up, but not as much (I’m 18, now). That’s the grace of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost for ya. (or Spirit. Holy Ghost sounds better, though). you see, the devil gives you a perverted version of what God stands for and wants you to have. Give up your desires and follow Him- He’ll give you the desires of your heart (see psalm 37:3-5). this may seem like mere words. Black shapes on a white background, but I’m pouring my heart out to you so you don’t suffer like I am. “The loneliest people are the kindest. **The saddest people smile the brightest.** **The most damaged people are the wisest.** **All because they don't wish to see anyone else suffer the way they did.”** repent to God, friends. We must stay focused, brothers, on what really matters. I'm only 18, but I'm telling you, in the words of johnny cash, "sooner or later God will cut you down." I don’t want you to suffer like I did/do. *YOU WILL LOSE ALMOST EVERYTHING IMPORTANT TO YOU! PLEASE, FOR YOUR SAKES, REPENT AND TURN TO JESUS! SAVE YOURSELVES FROM YOURSELVES! It’s a pit you *CAN NOT* get out of. *AGAIN, I DON’T WANT YOU TO SUFFER LIKE I DID/DO! I LOVE AND CARE FOR YOU TO TELL YOU THIS!* He is, to quote Skillet, "better than drugs." He is also *WAY* better than lust. love is greater than lust. You'll find out that this is true. love may hurt, and same for lust, but lust will keep you chained down, eventually killing you mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and possibly physically. AGAIN, I DON’T WANT YOU TO SUFFER LIKE I DID/DO! Ayo, i don’t mean to force anything on anyone, but we have various types of evidence for biblical events, if anyone is interested. (I’m talking archaeological evidence, miracles caught live, arguments against evolution, divine revelation, science, cosmology, fulfilled prophecy, evidence for the Bible outside of the Bible, God’s work in people’s lives, etc.) *NOTE:* I can’t prove God to you. It all comes down to your choice to put your trust in Jesus Christ. That’s all faith is-TRUST. Unfortunately in these recent years, science and “religion” (as we know them today) have bastardized each other and themselves. Point is, faith is trusting in Jesus. It’s not a blind jump into what people deem “irrational.” Billy Graham said something reminiscent of that. I have no power over you. I can only tell you, but I can’t force you. (I mean, we’re conversing online lol. I’m not at your location… yet) james 4:8 “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” hebrews 11:6 “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Check out “HolyLandSite, Cold-Case Christianity, Delafé Testimonies.” There may be more, but those are the ones I know of that have good stuff. Hit me up if you want my own personal research

The mod that makes Joshua look actually burnt and crispy under his wraps is a necessity.
**The saddest people smile the brightest.** **The most damaged people are the wisest.** **All because they don't wish to see anyone else suffer the way they did.”**
repent to God, friends. We must stay focused, brothers, on what really matters. I'm only 18, but I'm telling you, in the words of johnny cash, "sooner or later God will cut you down."
I don’t want you to suffer like I did/do.
I LOVE AND CARE FOR YOU TO TELL YOU THIS!*
He is, to quote Skillet, "better than drugs." He is also *WAY* better than lust. love is greater than lust.
(I’m talking archaeological evidence, miracles caught live, arguments against evolution, divine revelation, science, cosmology, fulfilled prophecy, evidence for the Bible outside of the Bible, God’s work in people’s lives, etc.)
*NOTE:* I can’t prove God to you.
I’m not at your location… yet)
james 4:8 “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”
hebrews 11:6 “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
Check out “HolyLandSite, Cold-Case Christianity, Delafé Testimonies.” There may be more, but those are the ones I know of that have good stuff. Hit me up if you want my own personal research
Thank you for making this video. I've wanted it for so long, and we can't expect god to do all the work.

Great video as always. I had no idea that this is what Caesars and Joshua Graham backstory was
Just played honest hearts, I can’t believe it was so short. Joshua made a huge impact although he only had a handful of lines
Joshua Graham. Aka the reason you should play nice when in Zion canyon. Not wise to anger a sleeping bear with a gun

He deserves a happy ending. After I all he did he one the very few characters i like.
As always, well thought out and well done. Never stop being awesome, Synonymous. Joshua's story is very much one of the more poignant in the Fallout series.
Maybe do a moshup of the various non-aggressive animals, like the Radstag and Brahmin?
