Well in the case of this tank, it's not really that they couldn't build bigger and better, but they just didn't know what was the most cost effective tank. This tank is dirt cheap to build, so I guess the logic was that having some form of tank with just a machine-gun was better than having very few better tanks
British tank designers were hit ot miss basically. They made the matilda 1, valiant and some other questionable tanks. Then they made the centurion. Wich was objectively one of the best tanks ever produced

Love this tank, reading a book about Dunkirk and the events that led up to it, gave me a fascination with this. It was designed for a war that would never really exist again. But its armour was great for the time. And gave germans pause for thought. Great to see it running.

If I remember right during WW1 in Britain tanks with machine guns have been refered to as "female" where as tanks with larger guns have been considered "male". Don't remember anymore if that's accurate though.

Some were discussing building a model armed with an autocannon. A Matilda I with 20 or 30mm autocannon would've done alright, I think. Probably capable of desteoying most German tanks at the time, and also dealing with machine-gun nests and arty
Put a platform on it and a 3 inch mortar in the turret well. Platform will carry the ammo. A third crewman to operate radio so forward observer can correct fire. It's not a vehicle for direct fire role. Longer barrel on the mortar for more propellant and range.
No not really, the Panzer 3 was proven to be a much more potent tank that didn't even had any problems destroying Matilda 2's from a considerable distance. It was also fairly weak against German 7,5 cm HE shells.
@@theblitz6838 That's not the case at all. The Panzer III with 3.7 or 5cm gun could not touch Matilda II. Matilda I had a bit less armour, but it still needed Rommel to bring out the AA guns before they could deal with them.
@user-hl7nt1og7k I made an oversight. It appears that they instead learn that the HE (and HEAT) shells of the 7,5 cm Kw.K. L/24 mounted on the infantry support tanks and Halftracks were quite destructive against the Matilda tanks. Thus, it were mainly stubby Pz4's and StuG's who dealt with these treats.
Much smaller than I'd first thought, reminds me of the WW1 French Renault FT or the British Whippet from the same era. It did the same job as infantry support I'm sure but only slightly better.

Can either be manned by two or be a drone tank; has a turbocharged engine, preferably diesel and a tyranny (painted red) to make it run faster even off-road Add 70mm VAMPIRE rocket system or any ATGMs, reactive armor and throw in some active protection system firing auto-shotguns against drones for good measure because why not

Evolved? These two are nearly identical. One just has fancy armored cover, because everything kept destroying suspension in a hit or two (even rifles).
Hello it is I, the man who does not lie about the info they provide with more info Inside the vault, there is a secret passage way in one of the corners that you must crouch to enter, inside there is the promised one million bucks (surprised you didn’t look up a guide for this one) Back in the control mission, in corner #2 floor two (I think). In one of the office cubicles, there is a weapon that has infinite ammo and can kill through walls! Be careful with walking through the clouds it creates, you need ‘death’ to become immune to it. Also it has no effect on armored enemies (except being very loud) The rifles used in dark world are very good and deals high damage, would recommend if you want something different If you do have the house, shoot at the three big ball worms outside for some juicy rewards (and talk to the three targets for more lore that you would probably not understand) P.S more asmr plz uwu

The Matilda had a glow up with the Mark 2, The Matilda 1 looks like a project build rather then a Tank.
