Those girls be eating food like nothing but I’m on day 2 of my braces and “discomfort” is not how I would describe it. I would say it’s like throbbing and your ability to chew disappears at least for me

Got my braces yesterday.... "Discomfort" is really not the word id use to describe the hell i feel when i eat anything😂
I feel the same way I got mine yesterday and I can’t eat anything as soon as something touches my teeth with the slightest amount of force it’s very painful 🫠✨
It took me 5 days to stop feeling the pain when i bite down with braces, for some people it will ake a week, 2 weeks it just depends on their teeth and age.
Foods to eat while getting your braces on/ tightened. (You won’t be able to chew for 3-5 days.)
Oatmeal
Soft pasta
Mashed potatoes
Yogurt
Smoothies
Pulled pork
Meatloaf
Cold water
Ice cream
These are just some suggestions and the things I ate, but any soft food is great! *DONT FORCE YOURSELF TO EAT TOUGH FOODS.* your teeth with become stronger on there own!
just got my braces 3 days ago and my diet has been consisting of only: bananas, avocados, baby foods, and overcooked ramen

This is my second day using braces and I just got braces in my upper teeth. I can not chew any food and if I accidentally grind my teeth it hurts so bad. I hope this pain goes away soon. I will get my under teeth braces in the next month, so wish me luck😢.

It's been 2 days i get brace on and 1st day i literally cried like a baby because I wasn't able to even drink chocolate shake . The discomfort it gives is quite new and bad 😅. But anyway I have to do it , i wished for it so see you all after 1 year . Wish you all Good Luck 😊.

@@RABBANI101Right now I am struggling to eat Til ka laddu 😅. And my journey is good actually, my upper front teeth is looking good as compared to before and lower front teeth is still in the process. Thank God I choose to do this for me.

@@richaagrawal5522 oh yess , four teeth was extracted and my doctor said it's important because I had crowded kinda teeth so needs space for teeth rearrangement .
And if it's your 3rd day of braces then , please apply good lip balm/do proper lipcare and don't worry you will get used to braces and Soft food and less chewable food is my best friend now 😂😂😁.
Gonna be my first night sleeping with braces. I can't wait to comment again on this saying I got them off. They're so uncomfortable and it hurts so bad even not doing anything.

I got my braces in today..I felt good after but as I lay down resting it feels sore. My back teeth doe not touch which makes it difficult for me to eat. Is that ok?

A quick update: after every month tightening the pain is not as bad as month before at least for me

Massed rice will liquid pulses
Fruit juice
Cold water
Ice cream
Some soft fruits (in slices)
Ppl saying it only hurts for 2 days are wrong ur teeth go weak and sensitive it feels like mine are gonna fall oot if a chew something

For anyone who is looking for this comment, I'm here to help!
I got my braces 2 days ago, and it hurts to chew, I got upper braces only, since I have a crossbite, and it does hurt to chew, but it's not that bad. It depends on the person I guess but for me it hurts when I eat but it's not unbearable. I can eat stuff like chicken nuggets if I use the side of my mouth to chew slightly.
It does hurt the sides of my mouth, and there is cuts, but I just distract myself and the pain goes away, I don't use painkillers, but I eat ice cream or something cold for pain.
And apparently it takes 3-5 days or even a week for it not to hurt to chew down on food and to be able to eat normally. So it will take another few days for me but I'm looking forward to it! :))
Also apparently you feel the same discomfort when you get them refitted and they change wire so it'll be another 3-5 days pain when you do get them refitted. :D

Edit: Im also getting my braces off in eight months so a short amount of time for me since the cross bite isn't major and it wasn't a must to get braces I just wanted them to have straight teeth 💀🙏
Edit: my teeth didn't hurt after a week :) also getting them refitted this Thursday :)

@@fetaimu they're completely fine now, no problems (except maybe the wire pokes out on one side, but I'm getting that fixed in the next refitting) the gums, teeth or sides of mouth don't hurt anymore and even though I said that they might hurt for another few days after refitting, I was wrong! It just feels the same before u get them refitted :)) I really hope ur brace journey goes smoothly, and I'm glad ur kinda using this comment as a guide? :D

Yesterday I had no pain at all (even had a sandwich a few hours after getting em haha) But today I can’t chew at all since My teeth hurt a lot when I try to chew, other that I don feel any pain at all! As per the wire, yup it’s poking me on the side too but I used some wax for that but Imma try getting used to the pokes so I don’t keep using wax all the time. Thank you for your sweet wishes. @@fetaimu You're welcome! How long have you had them on so far? The chewing pain should have gone away at most a week after you get them!

I’m on the second day of braces. Eating is like the most painful thing you could ever imagine. Even the slightest touch of my teeth absolutley kills. My food and drink now consists of:
Pasta
Mashed potatoes
Soup
Smoothies
Ice cold water
I really hope this pain goes somewhat soon because this is absolutely killing
it took me a full month to be able to eat like normal again with no pain. i swear for the first month my teeth were in so much pain when i bit down on anything it was awful
I don’t know why people are saying that it is really really discomforting, it only feels that something is stuck on your teeth and nothing else, it might pain a little but not too much to worry about and it also feels like something is pulling them(teeth) inwards
Got it yesterday... No serious pain but lower incisors hurt when touched with the upper one.
Trouble in having food..

I just got my braces it has been 5-6 days
The first 3 days those hurt like hell

I tried to eat stuff from the 4th day and I just gave up
I mean I'm constantly scared of the food getting stuck in my braces
And it does get. After every meal I eat I spend 20 minutes to remove the food out of them. I just does not feel good to have that food stuck in your mouth. And when I think of the fucking effort that takes to remove the food. I just feel like surviving on liquid. Now I don't even crave for my favorite food.
Today I got my braces..wow that's awesome but it hurts like I can't think of chewing anything🤦😭

im having the same issue, i can only eat very soft foods that don't need chewing. i mashed the food with my tongue and the roof of my mouth like an old lady
@@yenisoediro it will be a month for me next week and it gets better. I’m eating basically what I use to eat besides some foods I completely cut out. My 2nd week I was able to eat chicken tenders, boneless wings, and very tender steak. Hopefully that helps you out some 😊

Just got them today, It’s kinda annoying but 3 hours after I got them I ate a sandwich. (I reeeally hope I didn’t mess anything up lol) It was hard though, I could eat that sandwich in 2 mins and it took me 10 minutes to eat it because of the pain, especially in my front teeth. But I have a lot of pain tolerance so it’s okay. After 1 week I think that it’ll get better. Good luck everyone, we will get through this!❤️

@@user-qr2uo9yf9i I just tried chewing on my finger at first to see if it hurts, It didn’t hurt a lot (at least for me, cuz I’m very pain tolerant lol) then I ate, today was a bit rougher though. @@carlitoj2017 Hey there!!! I’m thrilled for youu, good luck! Don’t worry at all, there was almost no pain at all for me, Today is my 4th day and I can basically eat anything hahaha. But after you get them make sure to check for loose wires or if any of the wires is poking you at all. Even if you forget to do so, don’t worry, just go there whenever u realize. We are getting through this together!!!💪🏻

After putting braces the only thing I could do without pain was to drink water or juice or liquid anything....but I was not able to eat anything at all because of the pain
bro how come are yall in shambles in like your 2nd or 3rd day with braces? My experience was pretty good, i felt NO PAIN at all except a bit soreness when i woke up the other day after getting braces.

To those who are getting braces , lemme recommend you something .. soups, mashed potatoes ,ramen, pasta ,etc.. if you're teeths in pain try cold water or icecream or anything cold to help it like it works miracles.. DO NOT put rice or anything in the mixer and eat it coz it horrible like listen to me it's horrible
