I always make sure to have string beans (my fave veg) and tofu on hand to make that dish, it's like life changing haha.

Made it and doubled the sauce. Added a side of king trumpet mushrooms on the side. Delish!
Everything except the coriander seeds is giving me vibes from a Cantonese home style kitchen. Gotta love how Carla gets inspired and developed flavors

I love this recipe mainly because it’s reminds me of what we eat at home. The only difference is we don’t put the silken tofu in the boiling water, but rather we steam it and then put condiments over it. The simplest is dried shrimp, fried shallots, chilly oil, green onion, Coriander and chopped red chilli for a bit of heat. Then mom drizzles Lee Kum Kee oyster sauce over it and that’s a dish.

@@kaiju_k5042 it’s delicious, and I’ll make it just to add to vegetables and rice, but I’d love Carla to incorporate this technique in a recipe. I like using a Cajun-style spice mix, but any bold flavors would probably work.
