    for me, the NW-1500 sounds like you're chewing something while speaking and the otherhand the BM-8000 needs more mid or hi-mid or low-high detail...

    The NW1500 has a kit that comes with Phantom power. However, no mic arm. It does come with a shock mount and a mic stand. A mic arm is very useful but im willing to trade features for a better mic than a 700/800 BM/NW

  • @NerdyMeathead
    @NerdyMeathead 8 років тому

    what do you mean you dont know how to do it besides the phantom. The bm comes with a usb dongle to make it work. Bm is only 24.99 on amazon with free shipping. shock mount xlr wire the dongle to hook it up with usb pop filter . I have a yeti but thinking about buying this as a backup. I mean my shock mount and pop filter cost more than this whole setup!

    i am choosing between mixer or interface. the only input i need is one mic XLR, so i understand mixer is more about connectivity. but i would love EQ and FX nobs as well. And i cant find any budget interface does that, but almost any simi-cheap mixer has that.
    my budget is around 150$ or lower. right now i am thinking getting Q502 from behringer pair with BM-8000. As i use the mic as in-game voip, any FX would be fun to mess around.

      Lover of life it's not... for one being louder doesnt mean "sounding better"
      2. I could tell it wasn't up to 20k hz when he talked into it... didn't have as crisp highs as the bm8000
      3. The bm8000 to me sound abit more balanced.. Asin the response is closer to a flat response....while i hear alot of over exagerated mids in the nw1500...doesnt sound to pretty.... overall acoustically and sonically ...the bm8000 is my sure bet

    Not even lying but I think Neewer and Excelwan are two companies which rebrand the same Chinese products under their brand names.

      Lol, i guess you're already through that but it means it's not being correctly recognized by the system and it's not working with the generic driver the system comes with, which can be for two reasons, the necessary driver is not installed or the device is faulty. You would need to manually search for the correct driver, install it, restart your system and reconnect your device.

    I see that the excelvan bm-8000 is cheaper than the bm-800 by a couple bucks on amazon. Isn't the bm-8000 the better microphone of the two? To my untrained ears, it sounds better than the bm-800, but it's a little hard to tell because I'm using two of your videos to compare them.

      I'm really considering that BM-8000 mic, have you found any good, not too expensive audio interface to pair it with? • @BeastyCat

    Hey, I have a question about the uni directional mics here. Is there a way to switch the mic settings back and forth from Uni to cardiod? As in eliminating the backside of the mic. Or is it just one setting? Sorry my question is hard to put into words haha. I love your recent upload btw.

    • @Podcastage
      @Podcastage  8 років тому +1

      +BeastyCat Cardioid mics are Unidirectional mics. These microphones are single capsule microphones. The only way to alter this would be purchase a replacement capsule and remove the already installed version and install/re-sauder/etc a new microphone capsule into it.

      +Moder Rator You do not need to tell me to reply. I will reply. I have not compared them directly so I cannot tell you with any certainty. Blue Snowball will be easier. These mics will allow you to update usb audio interface and improve audio. So if you want plug and play, go with snowball. If you want upgradability, go with one of these.

      Yes. I suggest usb audio interface for this though.

    • @sirdaviC

      Yes, is possible, for more quality you need a power phantom.

    please What is the best microphone for 30$ i am very confiused ?

    • @Podcastage
      @Podcastage  8 років тому

      Honestly any of the NW700, NW800, NW1500, BM700, BM800, BM8000 mics will be great. You just need to make sure to buy a USB SOUNDCARD as well. The only soundcard I know that works is the SYBA USB SOUNDCARD. If you get any other soundcard, you must also buy a phantom power supply.

    • @AhmedMohamed-sf4hl
      @AhmedMohamed-sf4hl 8 років тому

      Thank you why usb soundcard is important it will not work great on computer?

    • @Podcastage
      @Podcastage  8 років тому

      It will not. Mic requires voltage to work. Computers internal soundcard typically do not provide sufficient voltage.

      +Liham 0:39, I share how I'm connecting the mics. USB Audio Interface.

    • @Grumpigg
      @Grumpigg 8 років тому

      That was a stupid question I meant, could you use a sound card instead of a phantom power source

    • @Podcastage
      @Podcastage  8 років тому

      Liham You can use a soundcard, but only these two that I know of.
      1) ua-cam.com/video/MGlCPzGxaOk/v-deo.html
      2) ua-cam.com/video/-Q30b1h9G70/v-deo.html

    • @Grumpigg
      @Grumpigg 8 років тому

      So if I got phantom power for this mic I wouldn't need a soundcard or do I still need a soundcard

    • @Podcastage
      @Podcastage  8 років тому

      Liham Still would need a soundcard. This is secondary information since I have not personally tested this but what I have been told by others that plugging directly into computers mic input straight from phantom power still sounds bad, and adding USB Soundcard fixed audio issues. So you can get one of those two soundcards, or just buy a regular USB soundcard (not one of those two) and buy a phantom power supply as well.

    Sorry I hadn't finished watching the video, when you started singing and playing the guitar you couldn't hear the sounds of the guitar on the NW-1500. So that a plus and minus for it I guess?
