+Newfypuppie Too liberal? Liberal=progress/open? What's wrong with that? How can it be liberal? It's history, not the embellished narratives and myths most teachers usually teach. ? I dunno know, not real sure what you're trying to say.

I come to these videos to learn about american history so I can study apush. not having femminism foisted upon me. I don't have anything against the movements, but if they want to make a video talking about women's rights. it shouldn't be in one that explains the 7 years war

  • @historygeek8394

Just a piece of trivia that I learned: the reason that it is called the "Seven Years War" even though it lasted nine years is because the British did not officially declare war until 1756 which means officially the war technically only lasted 7 years.

In fact, my last name, LeBlanc, is one of the most popular Acadian names. There was even a village called "Village LeBlanc" (or LeBlanc Village.. one or the other). If you look up stuff about Acadians you'll see the name LeBlanc poping up a lot. My family even owns acreage in Nova Scotia to this day. Although French is only my second language & I live in Western Canada, I still have lots of French speaking relatives back East in Nova Scotia. I'm very proud of my Acadian roots.

So, like..yeah. They actually do put history into little boxes that we study for fifty minutes a day until the bell rings. You should do something about that. Because that's all it means to me. A class in which I wait for the bell. This is why I watch your videos. So I can maybe to some degree convinced myself that I'm capable of learning. And that's if I can keep up with you.

Boy am I glad I am not 'cramming' for an AP test. I'm just as glad I didn't have to cram for an AP test when I was in school. They didn't have them back then. I am glad I can just sit back, watch these, critique them, and use them to help me prepare lesson plans for a home school course I am soon going to start teaching. Wayne Cooke BS '72

It seems a lot of the portraits of the Great Awakening preachers shown are crossed eyed. I could see this causing problems when said preacher is condemning two people in the audience simultaneously.

I am Canadian. I just thought I should say that before commenting on a video of American history made by Americains. I always loved the North Americain colonial era and was disappointed about how much I learned about the subject in elementary school. So, thank you crash course, for making me a more knowledgeable person. :)

Don't hate me now, but The Seven Years War is also called "The Seven Years War" in Swedish language. The Pomeranian War is only referring to a specific war-within-the-war which was fought between Sweden and Prussia. As the name implies, that war did indeed take place in Pomerania, so it would be strange for 'The Pomeranian war' to refer to what took place in the American colonies.

I wouldnt say america went from religious to "super" religious. John Wesley one of the leaders of the great awakening and the founder of methodism often complain that americans, english men, and most of the christian world was only christian in name and acted like unconverted heathens with their greed, drukeness and other vices.
