Dear John Green. My students literally cheered when they realized I was showing another Crash Course in social studies class. From the bottom of my heart - thank you!
I don't get how people can hate crash course. To be honest, I absolutely love this show and your crew should keep up the excellent work! XD Thank you John Green
+Newfypuppie Too liberal? Liberal=progress/open? What's wrong with that? How can it be liberal? It's history, not the embellished narratives and myths most teachers usually teach. ? I dunno know, not real sure what you're trying to say.
Jarred Richards I come to these videos to learn about american history so I can study apush. not having femminism foisted upon me. I don't have anything against the movements, but if they want to make a video talking about women's rights. it shouldn't be in one that explains the 7 years war
Just a piece of trivia that I learned: the reason that it is called the "Seven Years War" even though it lasted nine years is because the British did not officially declare war until 1756 which means officially the war technically only lasted 7 years.
Btw if anyone's worried there isn't enough content to do well on the APUSH test just from watching crash course there's a channel called Hiemler's History that goes thru all the actual periods and its also clear and easy to understand
To everyone trying to cram for the AP national exam: a toast (of copious amounts of black coffee) to many more all-nighters and stress induced migraines. The two weeks of "what did I get myself into" before the exam, starts now. May the force be with you.
Zena S, Awesome! I made a three on AP Euro, but it was my teacher's first time with an AP course and my first AP ever. I think I'll do better with APUSH this year.
i don't think john's globe with every country blacked out except america gets enough appreciation. we love a history teacher who also makes subtle social commentary
I took AP World last school year and got a 5 on the exam that is nearly entirely due to crash course world history. The Mongols, having long been my favorite civilization, were by nature my favorite theme on CCWH: I even bought the "We are the exception" tee shirt. Having said that, I got super nostalgic when the mongoltage played. Thank you John-Green-3-years-ago
Honesty what would any of us do if Crash Course was never created. It's truly a gift and saves me from failing all of my tests. Thank you Hank and John Green
sadly :( but to all looking for help, I've been told that reconstruction, progressive era, Jacksonian democracy, and American Revolution are the main periods you need to hit hard and split up your time on. Other stuff is important but dbq's and short answers will be based on those eras.
May 4th, 2017. The day thousands of juniors flock to John Green to teach them AP US History because they didn't pay attention in class. Good luck guys ;)
These are pretty good reviews of history that are not boring and are actually pretty funny. Thanks John Green! Everybody wish me luck on my end of the year U.S History test tomorrow.
Hi John!! My name is jonathan, im from Israel! I love Crash Course!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm watching it and summarizing it in hebrew, it's a great way to increase general knowledge! Thank you for this great thing!
wow that was so incredibly packed with stuff I didn't know, I didn't realize how much of that period was relevant to present day North America this is probably my favorite episode so far of both history courses !
Yo if your teacher is assigning or putting these on in your class that teacher is awesome. They know how good & useful these videos are and are giving you a prime opportunity
i took it today. Hopefully I got a good score. Easier than I thought it would, but I thought it was going to be extremely hard, so don't get your hopes up. It's still a medium difficulty I'm not sure if I was allowed to say that . . .
This man has re-taught me the history I learned in school, but this is different, because I actually remember it. He teaches it in a way that I never could, and he makes it fun! :D
I just took a semester of American history and this playlist helped me in so many ways. I could not get A+ without you guys. So thank you so very much crash course.
So... how good I was at school from best to worst: English, Science, Math, History. History has PERPETUALLY been rock bottom in my list of proficiencies. Yet, here I am enjoying the history playlists on Crash Course way more than those of the sciences.
I'm trying to watch all of these Crash Course videos in order. This is more informative than even my college courses, and are going on perfectly on my second monitor while I work on art!
@@sharkyenaqueenm5908 By now you should have learned, taking steps not to fail won't help. You either fail the class or your physical and mental health are failing.

I realize this comment is over a year old, but APUSH is offered outside the states. Foreigners usually take it if they plan on going to an American school.
Boy am I glad I am not 'cramming' for an AP test. I'm just as glad I didn't have to cram for an AP test when I was in school. They didn't have them back then. I am glad I can just sit back, watch these, critique them, and use them to help me prepare lesson plans for a home school course I am soon going to start teaching. Wayne Cooke BS '72
