Another great video. Could you do the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan? I have heard there was many interesting military developments in it. Also I feel sorry for how much research you must have done for this, its like when I go on a Wikipedia binge for a hour.
I have never understood why this was never considered the first world war by many historians. Let it be remembered that Europe in the 1600s-1700s weren't made of tiny countries. (PLEASE don't take that the wrong way, just think of HRE as one big country for now, instead of an empire of small puppets) Since most of the world powers were involved, this could be considered the legitimate ww1...
Choiseul during the negociations of treaty of Paris : If France withdraws from Canada, he wondered, will the Americans still feel the need for British protection? At the time of the signature, facing the Duke of Bedford, the representative of George III, Choiseul would have even whispered to his entourage: "We are holding them". 15 years later, France beat english. I am extremely interested in this time period and I find it sad that it is being hugely neglected by all parts of our society, sort to say. History classes, books, movies, video games. It's almost as if it didn't happen. And like you said this was a very cool part of the history. Thx to people like you there is a slight chance these things (as a history enthusiast I am thinking about history) don't get forgotten in favor of modern day "culture" and what it represents. You've made a wonderful video, sir. I really like the whole package. The animations, music, pictures and above all facts. I would only ask you that in future you talk a bit slower and a bit more clearer (if that makes any sense at all lol) just to make it better. You've got yourself a new sub and keep up the good work.
@@vulpes7079 Because I guess the idea of revolting against the rule of a colonial, monarchical power was "revolutionary" at the time (which of course it wasn't). This was also because the AWI occurred right at the end of the age of enlightenment, so the enlightenment thinkers that comprised a few of our founding fathers could also be associated with revolutionary concepts like Thomas Paine's "The Rights of Man" which served also as a justification for the more appropriately named French Revolution. TL;DR: Because we want to call it that.
You think so ? The only thing that remains to the French-Canadian culture is their language ( french ). So you can understand that I love to make fun of french-canadian trying to "defend" a culture that doesn't exist anymore.
Could you talk about the Afghan war? From Being a part of Peria, then resisting the British Empire and aswell the Soviets. Then the fall of the regime, rise of the Talibans, and the rise of a "democratic" (rigged polls) regime again. Usa's attack on Afghanistan, why Bush attacked the country. The country has a very rich history and it's very interesting, if you could take your time to make the video. I'll glady become a patreon. Also point out that the Afghanistan has a lot of mountains which is strategic in a warfare.

It has been seven years since this video was posted. Feels like an eternity ago, I wonder if that's how the people back then felt when this finally ended
Charles III of Spain and Louis XV of France were cousins and George II of Great Britain was Frederick II's Uncle,as well as Joseph I of Portugal was Charles III's brother in law by marriage,And Maria Teresa's grand uncle was Charles II of Spain, who's great grand nephew was Charles III,so like 3rd cousins or something.Just a fun fact about a family feud.
Except that George 2nd had hardly any power compared to the Others. since the English Billl of Rights (1689), Parliiamment was OP in Britain, compared too royalty By 1750.
This is my favorite video of yours. This is my 5th time watching this, I love it so much. I love your channel so much.
"I heard Britain likes boats"
A bit to much m8
Hey! i'm Silesian, and im happy to hear something about my region finally
I love the grand rivalry of Great Britain, France, and Spain.
yt recommending this after 7 years
Another great video. Could you do the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan? I have heard there was many interesting military developments in it. Also I feel sorry for how much research you must have done for this, its like when I go on a Wikipedia binge for a hour.
Markus Of Anglia there was no invasion. Government of Afghanistan asked Soviets for help
@@paulwilson8061 and the Russians lost
Finally something clear that I can understand. Super good
I do love that Czech is one of the two language subtitles this video has to offer!
I hadnt heard the word spastic in so long man. Broke me. Great vid.
Seramic _Skeptical Since there where two separate wars on two sides of the world., not a big war that encompasses the world
Same thing applies to WW2
Feature History - very well done!!
“Some other countries I don’t care about”
Choiseul during the negociations of treaty of Paris : If France withdraws from Canada, he wondered, will the Americans still feel the need for British protection? At the time of the signature, facing the Duke of Bedford, the representative of George III, Choiseul would have even whispered to his entourage: "We are holding them".
15 years later, France beat english.
Choiseul prophet
you should make a Video about the great nothern war
Long live Carolus Rex!
Sweden, oh Sweden, you should've accepted peace when Russia offered it. Sweden would still be a major power :(
“You have the claim, but I got a fort” “vel you might have zour fort, but ive gots three fortz!” “You might have some forts, but I’ve got a gun” thank you for those impressions😭
I am proud to know that the founder of my country caused the first conflicts in what was essentially the first World War.
If any American said anything like that they would get screamed at
Its amazing how much you're covered in the span of 15 minutes, well done sir
Yes, it also lead to Quebec, the 8,2 million people mostly Francophone enclave of North America. (We're still here)
The only channel I've ever subscribed to after only watching one video. Great fucking content.
That moment when in all of my history classes, they focused exclusively on the French and Indian allies VS British and Indian allies in North America.
"While you have some forts but I got a gun....."
Love this phrase
British EIC defeated France and it's local Allies in sub continent. Must not forget military genius of Robert Clive. The Karnatic Wars results ensured that English will rule the world literally and figuratively for more than 200 years.
RIP Frederick the Great :). He did a good job governing and protecting his Empire.

Brilliant video mate, particularly love the kinetic text.
Speaking of those "damned colonies", when will you be covering the revolution, if I might ask?
Which is exactly what I'm sure we'd receive with this gentleman on the job.
What Revolution? There's a few dozen of those around
@@vulpes7079 AWI. American War of Independence.
@@irongeneral7861 why do you guys call it a "revolution"?
@@vulpes7079 Because I guess the idea of revolting against the rule of a colonial, monarchical power was "revolutionary" at the time (which of course it wasn't). This was also because the AWI occurred right at the end of the age of enlightenment, so the enlightenment thinkers that comprised a few of our founding fathers could also be associated with revolutionary concepts like Thomas Paine's "The Rights of Man" which served also as a justification for the more appropriately named French Revolution.
TL;DR: Because we want to call it that.
Great video as always. Love your channel.
Let’s just change the entire war’s name to the World War Before World Wars were Cool.
My ten year old brother is fascinated with Prussia and the 18th century, and enjoyed watching your video.
What about French Canadians? We're still here!
You think so ? The only thing that remains to the French-Canadian culture is their language ( french ). So you can understand that I love to make fun of french-canadian trying to "defend" a culture that doesn't exist anymore.
Canada doesn't exist
@@simonbolduc1580 what the fuc are you talking about? the french canadian culture still exits you prick.

Love your speaking style. You randomly appeared in my feed. About to watch all your videos. I love the art style
Do a video about the Punic Wars! Or Caesar's Campaign in Galia! Or the Persian Wars! Or the Great Northern War! God, how i love History!
I like the victoria II music you added haha. Great video, sir!
Forgot to mention, why there is a civil war with tons of the ethnic groups
Fazel no he cannot. Research it yourself, lazy.
An absolutely fantastic video :3 thanks for feeding my Frederician fandom!
Does Feature History play EU4?
I wonder this too Valz Ron. If he doesn’t he’s really missing out.
In some of his other videos he uses the eu4 map because Venice is a massive island
Did a 5000 word essay on this, this video actually helped me in explaining why France did so poorly in Europe. Thanks!
Portugal Stronk!
This channel is awesome. One sub you have earned, my friend.
In the US we're taught this war was significant(to Americans) because it was the first major conflict that essentially started with Americans. Yay?
That's sad.
Jesus.
Queen Anne's war?
Awesome video. Truly hilarious! Well done!

If you would look closely you would clearly see a horse kicking a man in the nuts.
Just found this channel and I'm already a fan! Subbed already when I normally wait to see more content. Please keep making awesome videos!
Alas, in the U.S , you can't learn about this fantastical conflict, which like you said beats the two following revolutions due to being more interesting. 0:36 0:43

In America, we learn about The French and Indian War rather than the greater Seven Years War.
PRStudios But we do learn about the seven year war. Aka the french and Indian war.
