I always love looking at old and 'outdated' kits just to see how far the hobby has advanced but also they creatively overcame limitations given the more limited technology back in the day
It's really wonderful to see you back at it! I've really missed this style of loving-but-fair reviews, particularly for older kits. It's hard to get a good read on them online - a lot of the time old kits are either awful for the crime of being old, or amazing (for their time) without a lot of comparison against today's standards.
While I only found your channel for the first time around 3 months ago, I'm excited to see you back! Hopefully you channel keeps growing and you continue to enjoy educating us on gunpla and it's history. P.S. Hoping that no-grade Dodai is still in the queue somewhere.
Out of all the Gunpla reviewers here on UA-cam, you’re the only one who goes through the history of the line and doesn’t waste his time regurgitate the same critique over and over again without adding any variety to their argument. I find it ironic that the new features that appear on modern Gunpla kits such as parts with pre-printed decals, mesh-like stickers, detailed inner frame, and silver decals are now seen as this revolutionary thing. But are all available in this one kit released way back in the 1990’s.
You're finally back!! This is a wonderful day. Not a lot of reviews delve into the history and details of the kit and Mecha it's based on. Welcome back Hobby Clubhouse!
Welcome back! I always appreciate how your videos integrate some history lessons. You really take the time to bring up details that other reviewers gloss over. Looking forward to more.
Good to have you back! It's so cool to see just how much extra stuff this kit comes with that we don't normally get today. I wasn't expecting the pre-printed shoulders, let alone all those varying types of stickers and detail bits to glue on. As someone that has broken a few v-fins (mostly on RGs), I kind of like the rubbery v-fin.
I really appreciate you checking out this kit and giving this a fair shake. I've been mostly sticking to older MGs because they are cheaper, and built the 1.5 a few months back as my first MG and absolutely loved it. I have the GP01fb waiting for a paint job and a completed Ez8 that I was extremely happy with. These MGs don't really get the respect the deserve I feel. They're really great representations of their respective MS designs and, with enough work, can look fantastic.
Holy crap dude you're alive! Love that you are bringing attention to the boxart and modernized take on the design of the time. Personally I think the MG 1.5 and PG design were the best modernized RX-78.
I got into gunpla 8 month ago, although your video didnt start my hobby, but you are one major reason that I am still in this hobby. I have learnt alot from your channel, thank you.
So glad your back! Hands down best plamo reviewer! You always have interesting pointers on the kit´s history! Much more entertaining than the usual "the head can turn 360 degrees" fare.
WELCOME BACK!!!🎉🎉🎉 It's been a while since you've posted a new video and I'm glad you're doing okay. Your style of video reviews are a breath of fresh air and i love how you give the spotlight to older kits. How's Hobby doing? And once again, I am happy that you are back.
This was the first MG i ever built back in like '03 or '04 after building a bunch of 1/144 scale kits. My parents bought it for me when Gunpla was being soldin the US at Toys R Us amd Walmart. Pretty sure it was sold for like $25USD and retailed in Japan for 2,500¥ so i don't know where the extra 200¥ came from.
So glad to have you back!!! And with a VERY "Hobby Clubhouse" video- this kind of video is why you're the best at what you do. The extra details, the historical context, all those little things you put in the video that other reviewers don't. That cover sure is a mystery- Very surprised it wasn't a Yuji Kaida (so surprised, in fact, I went to check the Yuji Kaida Gundam artbook, which this is, indeed, not in). Glad to have you back and keep up the good work. :)
awesome and fair review! I have this kit still NIB but with the "American Skill level" labels on it. i didn't realize it had some of those items. the mesh and the rubber V fin are new to me. I did know about the extra detailed parts, since I did build the matching Zaku II. again, fantastic job on the review! Thank you!
I love your reviews of old and/or strange kits! I'd love to see your thoughts on the new Gunpla-kun kit, or one of the more obscure HGUC sets like the Operation V or G3/Char's Rick Dom novel set
i miss the rubber v fins/antenna, its a nice feature to have so you dont feel as worried when posing around or have a spare in case the kit decides to fall over one day.
Would love to see you go thru all gramps MGs. This was an amazing history lesson. I felt building the 1.5 that I had stepped back in time for a bit and cherish that
It might be an odd suggestion, but I think it’d be interesting for you to also review the MG Gundam Ver. 1.5 and Ver. OYW. Both kits have gotten very little coverage over the last decade and I think they’d be a great fit for the channel and pair well with this review
Return of the King
Yes
You know you're the best plamo reviewer when this amount of people are here to greet your return. Welcome back, we've missed you!

Definitely
I still come to check 😢

The King returns!
You're the best Gunpla reviewer since rrobbert184 went MIA.

Bro really said "I'm leaving for milk" and left us for a year. He came back just to say "whoops forgot my keys" and we're left waiting...
Hey, who wants some milk?
Words cant explain how happy i am
Glad to have you back
Personally prefer the 1.0 designs they seem more realistic and stylish too
I would apply that more so to the OYW MG
yay! you are back!
It's nice to see you again Mr. Clubhouse. I hope you are doing well, and I think I can say for all of us, that we have missed you.
I love the respect that you give by putting on the history and appreciates what the kit brings to the table while fairly criticizing it.
wow, first the appabend, now you. It's definitely a month of suprising comebacks. Glad to see you again!
Please come back
Welcome back!

welcome back
I hope I am not late, but welcome back, I have been practicing scribing keeping your tips in mind. Thanks :)
Interesting take on the MG Gundam 1.0. However, it hasn't aged well compared to the 1/100 Full Action RX-93 Nu Gundam from 1988.
A very fitting "return to roots" of classic MG Gramps 1.0 for a comeback review 👌
YEEEEES HES BACK!
Welcome back! can't wait to hear your take on many new things that pops up this past year or so!
Finally your back 😭😭😭😭😭 aix
WELCOME BACK!!!🎉🎉🎉

The king himself returns?
WELCOME BACK GOOD SIR 🤩🙏 we’ve missed you!!!
Its good to see you again!
RETURN!!!! I’m so glad I got into this channel only a few weeks ago, so I managed to witness this
The Return with the Return of MG 1.0
YAY!!!! New video
Welcome back!!!
You are one of the reason that i got into gunpla, you have one of the most detailed review of a kit that i have ever seen
please come back soon :(
WELCOME BACK
i miss the rubber v fins/antenna, its a nice feature to have so you dont feel as worried when posing around or have a spare in case the kit decides to fall over one day.
Kinda sad that this kit has better articulation than most modern Transformers figures. Still a lovely video!
Long time no see. The return of Hobby Clue House? Great to see your new videos. Hope everything is good with your end. Cheers!!!
Welcome back, HC! We are so happy you are back! Fantastic review, and can't wait to see what you have in store for us going forward.
Would love to see you go thru all gramps MGs. This was an amazing history lesson. I felt building the 1.5 that I had stepped back in time for a bit and cherish that
I audibly gasped when I saw this upload. Oh my god yes. You're the best. Thank you for coming back.

Finally, someone not whining because a kit from 95 isn't the same standard as a kit from 2023. Thumbs up!!
